Great acting, thoughtful rendering of the demise of the old west. I still remember seeing it at the drive-in with my older brother in 1962 and remains a favorite to this day

This is a great old western-style movie I had seen many years ago on TV and I was very happy to find it and be able to watch it once again. It has great action and everything needed to keep you in suspense, not knowing how it will end. Even after seeing it a couple of times, it is still worth watching again just for the great scenes and action.

This Kirk Douglas film with Walter Matthau is often forgotten and unknown to the masses. It shows several conflicts of a changing time, culture, independence versus assimilation and submission versus domination. It is well worth watching.

I highly recommend. This movie can be hard to find. Great price and quality.

I highly reccomend this film to ANYONE. The film has an excellant cast, storyline and plot.The movie is based on the novel THE BRAVE COWBOY but before the movie was filmed the name of the movie was changed from THE BRAVE COWBOY to LONELY ARE THE BRAVE. This is also the ONLY film that actor Kirk douglas himself highly reccomends to his fans.

This movie is the greatest story of a man and his horse. I am only thankfull it has finally came to dvd format. It can only be described as a true character study of a man sorounded by satire.
