I recently had the pleasure of diving into the captivating world of Lords of the Fallen, and I must say, it has left an indelible mark on my gaming soul. This title is nothing short of a masterpiece, seamlessly blending innovative gameplay, stunning visuals, and a rich narrative to create an immersive experience that is simply unparalleled. First and foremost, the graphics are breathtaking. The attention to detail in every environment, character, and animation is nothing short of jaw-dropping. From the vibrant landscapes to the meticulously designed character models, every aspect of the visual presentation contributes to the game's overall allure. It's evident that the development team poured their hearts into crafting a visually stunning world that feels alive and dynamic. But it's not just about the aesthetics of Lords of the Fallen also boasts a gameplay experience that is both intuitive and deeply engaging. The controls are responsive, making it easy for players to navigate the intricacies of the game world. The boss fights truly are a testament to the developers' creativity, offering a perfect balance of challenge and reward. Whether you're engaged in intense combat sequences or exploring hidden corners of the game world, every moment is a joy.

This is a great game. It's like a combination of Elden Ring with It's boss battles and God of War with It's linear style of game play. It is not an open world like Elden Ring, but i feel it is just as fun.

The dual world mechanic with Axiom and Umbral (the land of the dead) is unique, anxiety-inducing, and brilliant twist to souls combat. The lamp that you use to solve environmental puzzles, peer into Umbral world, and move into the land of the dead for certain level progression areas is a fresh and interesting shakeup to the souls formula. There a lots of NPC quests that are very challenging to figure out, the weapons and armor sets are plentiful and really well done. Cooperative play is available for those who choose to bring along a friend, or invade a foe and fight to the death. The boss fights are well done and challenging, but are less difficult than From Software titles. There are some serious performance issues. There are stuttering issues pretty much throughout the game, game crashed about 10 or so times on my playthrough, one endgame area the game appeared to be claymation-like with the framerate. That said, the devs have been patching the game frequently, and seem to really be looking to the community for what we would like to see and addressing performance issues brought to their attention. I really hope this gets fixed because this is a truly fantastic game, and the devs are really trying to get it right. If not for the performance, this would be 5 stars without question.

If you're a Souls like fan, you should play this game. Hundreds of armor pieces to collect for a trophy but the drop rate is worse than pure bladestone lol. It is a very fun game and I do recommend it. Some of the cut scenes and game play were rushed. Side quests are extremely bugged for Ps5 version. To get platinum you could do it in 3 runs with a guide, but it will take you 5 or 6 because of the side quest bugs. I know how some quests can be with souls like games but these are bugs, you follow the guides and exhaust dialogue but nothing happens. You have to close the game and reload just for some quests to continue or gestures to pop. These things can be fixed with updates, so its 3 stars for rushing the game. The game itself is a 5 star. The devs are pushing updates very frequently but it seems to be more focused on nerfing for afk players instead of fixing key issues in the game. Also the Class that comes in the deluxe edition can be earned for free in game so I don't think it's worth it. You will end up changing armor a quarter of the way through anyways.

If you liked the Dark Souls franchise, this is a reasonable facsimile of the atmosphere and level design that fans come to expect. The game is held back by its poor performance both on console and on PC, as well as many strange bugs. The HexWorks team is working around the clock to resolve the most pressing of these issues, but it must still be mentioned. Once you familiarize yourself with the games systems and have a build going, it becomes much more enjoyable. For those that prefer the greater combat challenge of Sekiro, Lies of P or Bloodborne, this doesn't quite live up to the level, but it makes up for it with its excellent level design and NPCs. So long as you can brave through the initial stages it is a great game with great replay value.

At first when this came out, I thought , oh great another clone. But turns out some really great gameplay and excellent level designs. Definitely pick this one up. If you have a physical copy, update immediately, otherwise version 1.0 on disc, will only go to a certain level then you fall through the architecture and your save is irretrievable lol. Great game!!

The game is a little hard , get the deluxe edition , has dark cruiser dlc.i recommend, orian preacher or hallow knight , but dark crusader is pretty strong right away. I think it’s overall tough but fun . I think it’s like eldan ring but , eldan ring is more open world -and gives you more options. The steel book is great also

Excellent game for Souls-like fans. Adds unique mechanics to an existing genre in a fun and interesting way. Game had some performance issues at launch, but the developers have been great about listening to fans and getting fixes out quickly. There have been 3-4 patches within 2 weeks of launch. Would highly recommend.

Im a huge souls veteran and i reqlly wanted to love this game more. Its very beautiful with amazing colors and backdrops and interesting mechanics that unfortunately fall flat. Huge gripe is the frame stutter each time the game autosaves...which is like everytime you do anything at all and that is not ok for a ps5 2024 game when demons souls "ps3"didnt have this problem.

Respectable Dark Souls-like. This game has all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a Souls-like, plus brings some of its own unique mechanics to the table (the umbral realm). The only thing keeping this from a 5/5 is the exploration and world connectivity. I recommend using a guide for this game as it is quite challenging to navigate and determine where to go next. They took the Dark Souls 1 world interconnectivity and dialed it up to 11. The problem is there are a lot of side paths, that lead to other side paths, that then lead to another side path, which ends at a piece of loot you may not need. All the while, you never really knew if you were on a side path or main path. But still highly recommend for Souls lovers.

If you're unaware or not, this is a remake of the original that came out in 2014 & it wasn't good at all. Now this is one pretty good. It's a "Souls-like" game that's not to FromSoftware quality but it's overall enjoyable with it's own spin. They've introduce a cool concept, you have the normal world & a dead world called the Umbral world that you can go between the two. Also, there are some areas that you can't get to without using both & another thing, if your fighting a boss in the real world & die your transported to the Umbral world where you can finish the fight. It's a cool concept with some set backs but overall a good game.

Bunch of issues at launch, started as a ranged class and why they make the controls overly cumbersome and clunky is beyond me...totally ruins the immersion to have to keep swapping my ranged attack key for thr lantern... This game looks great but it needs a lot of improvement. I had expectations that this would be a soulslike game and although some aspects of the game are ok, this will not take the crown from any FromSoftware title.

I really wish I could give this game 5 stars as it has very high potential I hear new patch’s have fixed a lot of the issues but I played it in the first 2ish weeks and as a soul/born lover I was slightly disappointed in this one I played it with my brother together online and it was definitely worth playing once but a few of the mechanics get fairly old after 80-100hours of exploring and searching it’s IS good just be not up there with the best if that makes sense.

Game is good, a little janky like Dark Souls 2 which I love. Hoped to get the game a day or two early like i have ordering from BB in the past. Unfortunately it arrived the day after release. Release day would at least have been nice, but no biggie, still got the game, still got the sweet BB exclusive steelbook.
