Customers regard the gameplay, level design, and inclusion of a steelbook as highlights of Lords of the Fallen, praising the challenging yet rewarding experience and immersive world. However, some customers reported performance issues, including stuttering and crashes, impacting their overall enjoyment. The game's difficulty was a point of contention, with some finding it appropriately challenging while others felt it was artificially inflated. Despite these issues, many players appreciated the game's homage to the Souls-like genre.

Game is good, a little janky like Dark Souls 2 which I love. Hoped to get the game a day or two early like i have ordering from BB in the past. Unfortunately it arrived the day after release. Release day would at least have been nice, but no biggie, still got the game, still got the sweet BB exclusive steelbook.

I’m really enjoying the game but it feels a bit janky. The developers are patching it all the time it seems though so it is only getting better.
The two world mechanic is awesome and the game looks/sounds amazing. If you like the Souls games, this will scratch that itch.

It's basically Dark Souls 3 with a Bloodborne style eldritch horror map laid over top. Cool mechanic with the lantern. Only downside is besides the lantern, there isnt too much original about it, but if you're looking for a good soulslike... look no further.

Huge dark souls fan and I really like this game! It’s way better than the original, which was slow/sluggish and just didn’t give that souls feel. This does! I enjoyed it more than lies of p! If you love Elden ring and souls games definitely pick this game up!!

I have played every Souls game from Demons Souls up to Elden Ring and Armored Core 6, Nioh 1/2, Lies of P, Steelrising (surprisingly good), Stellarblade and lesser souls-likes/rogue-likes like Remnant 1/2 and Returnal. I can say hands down, Lords of the Fallen isn't as bad as the original Lords of the Fallen, but it isn't on par with any of the games mentioned above in my opinion. The level design is weird, the combat is awkward, the exploration is obtuse, and the worlds aesthetics are a prime example of why less is more. For me, the overall feel of the gameplay is just OFF. The game isn't terrible, but this is one of few games I have purchased in my life that I don't want to complete. This experience mirrors my experience with another souls-like called Mortal Shell, which I thought was another poor-mediocre imitation and implementation of Souls mechanics. Again, this is just my opinion, but I consider LOTF a game you pick up and play when you have literally nothing else to pass your time. But hey, you may like it.

Fun game. Similar to Elden Ring but not quite as open world. Like Bloodborne.

Tgis game is a true Soulsborne successor. The environment, enemies, and story have exceeded my expectaions. The transitions between the realm of the living and Umbral, which I was worried about, are excellent.

If you like souls-borne games then look no further. Lords of the fallen is a action RPG with artificial difficulty. Very challenging but with enough patience, you’ll become lord of the game.

Having a blast so far. A great Souls-Like appearance. Fast-paced and engaging. Doesn't quite reach the perfection of the Souls Series, but it feels like the next best thing!

On its own it’s not a bad game but very claustrophobic and still has a lot of bugs. Developers are too worried about making it like a Souls” game by changing the game play instead of fixing issues (eg. changing the difficulty of bosses and the requirements for upgrading weapons, but not fixing issues like locking, etc). May improve. I would still play but definitely not pay full price
