    After Using for 1 month Monitor Crashed

    Very disappointed with product, Lorex support is the pits and they do not get back to you at all. After a month of phone calls to the company and no response I felt compelled to write this review to save others from this horrible product and company.

    Lorex Wireless Cams

    I wrote a bad review and was kind of mad at the system when I wrote it. I did have to wait and spend time on phone with a tech but the tech saved the day It turned out it was not the system but how my iPhone was set up for image quality. Once I changed the Settings is has operated as designed flawlessly. So I retract my earlier review and give it a thumbs up!

    Decent security system. Lorex technology customer support absolutely SUCKS and would not recommend anybody ever deal with them!!! Unless you love punishing yourself. I have had 2 ticket closed on me and still have not had my warranty issue fixed!!! They will close a ticket on you for no reason or no contact!!!!

    horrible product useless at night

    DO NOT BUY. the night vision can't handle the street light. It causes the motion detector to go crazy. there is no way to turn off the night vision. Tech support closed my ticket in less than 24 hours with no explanation or resolution . They are no help at all. told my to point the camera straight down. I have no need to monitor the ground and it did not help any way.

    Bad Experience

    After about 2 weeks of use, the monitor would randomly stop recording from the cameras. Sometimes there would be an image frozen on the screen. I would have to manually make the system record again. I had bought the Geek Squad protection plan (waste of $20 apparently), so I took it in to the store. The guy said they can't work on cameras and I couldn't return the camera because it had been more than 15 days since I bought it. The guy told me to call Lorex since "the number is written right there" on the box. Thanks buddy! Called Lorex and it appeared as though I was getting decent service. The said I'd get a new system soon. I received an email stating I'd get my new system in 5 days. Well, it's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard from Lorex. I called them today and got disconnected after holding for 12 minutes while the girl tried to figure out when I'd get my new system. The 2nd girl said the system may arrive or may ship out around July 19th. That's a month late & I'm not actually expecting to receive anything. This company seems a bit phoney. In the meantime, my monitor has gotten worse. The entire monitor turns black and the only thing that will fix it is if I remove the battery & reinsert it. After the 2nd time of doing this, a part in the screw hole broke. This system isn't worth the trouble and I really wish I could just get my money back because I don't expect the next system to work any better, if it ever arrives.

    I was looking for a security camera because we had visit at my backyard I went to the store to look for a equipment to try to catch it I was very excited I installed and after 4 days the monitor don't respond may is a manufacture defects well I'll back and returned to the store please I don't recommend this.

    We purchased the Lorex wireless LW2742 camera system for my parents house due to the amount of break ins throughout the community. My mother asked me to go with her to help in the purchasing process. Without much knowledge myself I advised going to Best Buy since they always have employees with mass knowledge on the products being sold. We did so and the sales man suggested the Lorex LW2742 system and explained it was relativity easy to setup and contol. He also went on about picture quality and other technical info. We installed the system as the directions specify and tries tweaking the settings the install book listed but were not happy. They decided to give it some time hopefully to work out the issues they had. Now my parents are the type that dont return products which they have used for a while so you know but the issues of poor picture quality, lack of adjustment settings, and not being able to add another viewing screen were never fixed. The picture quality is just blurry as if nothing is defined. Its very hard to see details or really anything at all when you use hit the zoom in button. Overall for the price they paid and the frustration they and I have put up with is kinda ridiculous due to the quality and name of the company that manufactors the system!
