Very quirky and cute.

However, she is believable and relatable, with attitude and spunk that put her quite delightfully out of place in Elizabeth Bennett's time. I thoroughly enjoyed her reaction to Jane Austen's characters and found myself laughing out loud several times. So many of the things Amanda says and does are the things you wish YOU had the opportunity to say and do while reading/watching Pride and Prejudice!! Minature SPOILER ALERT: One of the best aspects of the film is the pseudo-lesson that Amanda learns: the appeals of living in Jane Austen's time (courtesy, simplicity etc) are not entirely outweighed by the negatives (rigid societal rules and limitations), which Amanda did not appreciate until she came face to face with them. Overall, I definitely recommend this movie, even if you are not a die-hard Austen fan!
