This filter really does make a difference in the flavor of our water. We tried using the dummy device (no filtration) and decided right away that the filter makes the taste of the water a clean one (no after taste as we experienced without the filter). Highly recommend this filter and have it on auto ship to ensure we always have one on hand.

Never had a problem with this LG fridge filter from Best Buy. Don't be misled (like I was) by offers of this same filter on different websites. They don't fit! Purchasing through Best Buy is the way to go.

I bought an aftermarket filter and it did not fit. I have read that my particular model refrigerator has had issues with the assembly where the filter connects and I did have to have mine replaced. Since those issues I stick with filter as I know it will not cause any issues.
