I waited nearly 18 months from when this headset was announced until I was able to purchase it, eagerly looking forward to a completely wireless headset (no base station, no dongles) to use with my Xbox One X. When I first opened the packaging, I was pleasantly surprised by the high end materials used in construction. This headset just feels very premium. It also has great on ear controls for game mute, mic mute, chat/game volume balance, and overall volume.
I paired it with my Xbox (Very easy! Only 1 button on the headset, 1 button on the Xbox. It pairs just like a controller.) and adjusted it to fit comfortably and turned on a game. I was quickly disappointed as soon as the in game audio started, as the sound was continually cutting out for around 2 seconds every 5 to 10 seconds.
I checked on LucidSound's website and looked at their troubleshooting options which included re-positioning my Xbox, and it also notated that this headset had trouble staying connected if there was a mesh WiFi network at the home - which I have. I contacted their customer service and was told that there was a firmware update available which remedied these problems and was provided a link to do so. The overall process worked really simply.
After updating nearly all of my problems were remedied! I generally don't have any interference, and if I do, the headset changes channels on its own, disconnects and reconnects so I can continue to play. On top of this, the customer service from LucidSound was everything I would expect, and I have no doubt that my future headsets will be LucidSound as well!

Has amazing sound, very easy to setup and is comfortable for my ears. Bonus that it works with Dolby atmos. The battery life is actually pretty amazing for being wireless. A little pricy but it goes on sale often.

Worst headset I have owned!

I got these as a gift when a puppy cut the wire on my Steel series. Before getting these I used a $30 set for a few weeks, I am ready to go back to using the cheap set. The first thing I noticed was the loose parts inside with each head movement bobbling, rattling, annoying! This set has a range of around 20 - 30ft exactly the cutoff to my bathroom where I can mute them and signal cuts in and out and that over rides and disables the mute with each range beep. Perhaps if this was the only flaw but it is a constant battle why don't I have sound this time? turn off, turn on, nope maybe reboot the pc? nope maybe its in settings somewhere? Oh no its randomly working again. Some computers will notice the headset and others I can not get to find them at all (windows 10, Im a gamer). Mostly I write this because after 9 weeks it should not be cracking and breaking apart at both swivel points when I am super cautious and protective of them. If nothing else they seems to have a good battery.
