This is not your standard action flick as it involves the science of human brain usage and the science fiction angle of what happens if one could use higher percentages than normal. The 4K video presentation is spectacular. Colors are vivid and details are extremely sharp. "Lucy" features one of the best visual quality I have seen yet. The Atmos soundtrack is equally spectacular.

I love Morgan Freeman movies, so, of course, this movie gained my attention. The first scene shows a monkey sipping water. Watching this on a Samsung 4k curved tv made of feel like he was in my living room. As the movie proceeded, there were less than fair-performing actors in scenes with the protagonist. This was an imbalance! The movie was much shorter than I'd thought and it really didn't have a clear ending. At least, I didn't understand it. LOL I was waiting for more, not because of anticipation, but rather because I was waiting on something to make sense of everything that had happened. The next thing I knew, the credits were rolling. Morgan Freeman played a supporting role in the film and had only a few scenes where he mainly narrated. Overall, this was an "okay" movie. I wouldn't watch it again, however.

Wasn't sure what to expect since hearing mixed reviews on this one. Overall I can say that I enjoyed watching and glad that I picked it up. Personally, I wish the ending would have worked itself out a little different but still worth watching. The exclusive lenticular cover made it all the better. Going to put this one on the next time our friends want a movie night.

It is a good movie, although they could have put much more content in it , I think they could have made this an excellent movie if they would not have made it so short and moved it along so fast. Scarlett Johansson as always did an excellent job... 4 stars only because I thought the movie did not stay in each phase of her evolution long enough they rushed the movie.

I was hesitant to get the blu ray because I was going to get the 4k movie.I got the blu ray instead cause it was a 3rd the price. The picture is just about the same on a 40 inch 4k tv. Though the difference is negligible, saw a demo ,would have liked the hdr on the 4k, the colors do pop better. Will wait to see if more films are filmed in true 4k before buying similar movies. Though this was an action sci-fi if your into sci-fi that's similar to the matrix with a twist. Rewatchable!

honestly i love how this movie looks, this is my first time watching this in any version of a movie, I was very impressed how Scarlett Johanson act and everything, in some part of the show it was alittle crazy and confusing but worth watching, totally recommend.

When a boyfriend tricks Lucy (Scarlett Johansson) into delivering a briefcase to a supposed business contact, the once-carefree student is abducted by thugs who intend to turn her into a drug mule. She is surgically implanted with a package containing a powerful chemical, but it leaks into her system, giving her superhuman abilities, including telekinesis and telepathy. With her former captors in pursuit, Lucy seeks out a neurologist (Morgan Freeman), who she hopes will be able to help her.

Although the movie itself is okay and not as great from the story telling perspective, the imagination in this movie shines. The depiction of what can a person do when he/she can function 100% of his/her brain. It is beyond imagination. This movie ends with such great imagination/science fiction. The fact that the movie uses overdose of drugs as a means to enable the brain usage capabilities is too unreal and that maybe the only down fall of the movie. The acting is great, the sound track is superb. Good buy.

Ya gotta take this movie for exactly what it was intended to be, I think. Campy and fast. Well filmed and a hoot to watch. I found myself laughing a bunch at many of the scenes. If you want to get all philosophical and "critic like", you'll miss the fun of just watching and absorbing all the craziness. A well done film and it's popularity will sustain. Yay.

Heard this movie looks great in 4K and I was not disappointed. Caught this movie on sale for $17 in 4K @ Best Buy! Which was a steal considering how this movie is one of the best looking 4K movies available. Details are amazing everything from the moles on Morgan Freeman's face to the beauty of Scarlett in 4K is a must see.

This was a worthwhile purchase. Scarlett Johansson is credible in the role, going from scared hostage to dominant heroine. Morgan "the voice" Freeman is great in a present but clearly secondary role. There are some logical holes in the plot but they can be overlooked in this action oriented, fun production. Don't think too much and you can enjoy the ride!

Uninspected turns for a normal person to a truly highly evolved thinking individual to transform ones self in to a machine in the end with the unrivaled energy and power to see into the future and the control of space an time. Exciting twist and turns make this movie worth seeing

lucy is a great story that not only keeps the viewer engaged all of the way through the story but gives you reason to contemplate the complexities of the human race. it's quite the conversation starter regarding our accomplishments along with our pitfalls; from space exploration to our seemingly never ending hatred for one another. one of the best talking points that it raises is what would be able to do if we truly focused on the quest for knowledge & the evolution of our species.

A good film; Scar Jo is great. But the movie plot is a bit strange.

This is a great movie. It's fun. Things explode. ScarJo and Morgan Freeman look cool. The best thing is that this movie was filmed in 4K (some scenes even 5k) and then it was mastered in 4K as well which means you get the real-deal unlike most 4K titles available right now which have been upscaled. Plug this bad boy into your player and turn the volume up so the neighbors punch you through the wall. That's the only way to really experience a movie like this.

I puchased this at 14.99$ sale price. Viewed on 2016 Samsung series 7 HDTV. Played on LG up875. This is an excellent looking movie. It is true 4k (not 2k up converted). If you are new to 4k, as I am, you won't be disappointed. Shows up on many reference quality 4k disc lists. Well worth sale price.

I thought this movie would have a lot of action. Sure, it has some, but I was wanting more. The story moves along pretty quick and I thought Scarlett J did a nice job. It's a thought provoking movie that leaves you wanting a more since it just abruptly ends in a weird way (I won't spoil it).

For whatever reason I'm not sure this film was a hit with many. I like the over-the-top "brainpower" and slightly Japanese feel to the movie, but it is to taste. It starts off as hard science fiction at first but quickly jumps deeply into the realm of SciFi. If you like slightly odd SciFi it may be for you.

The move was great. It is nearly one of those movies that you may have to watch twice to catch everything. The special effects were spectacular. The main character was great as in all of her movies over the past several years. Toward the end of the movie things turn slightly dark and venture into the strange; however, I totally enjoyed it.
