we love this movie of a great defender kicking butt.

I'd say this is better than the 1st season of Jessica Jones but not as good as Daredevil. I really liked how the show is reminiscent of old Blacksploitation films. The soundtrack is awesome and fits the show to a T. There are a lot of "live" performances in the club with some old school funk/soul and jazz bands.

I really enjoyed this season I cannot believe that the series ended so quickly I hope that they bring the series back Luke cage is not your typical super hero A little rough around the edges I think a lot of people will enjoy the season A good story line and good music as well

one of the best marvel shows on netflix, this had a great blend of action and story it somewhat became stale towards the end and probably could have been 10 episodes but overall great show

Another must have for any Marvel fan follow the career starting of Luke Cage AKA Power Man before he joins the Defenders and Iron Fist

I just finally got around to watching the season on Blu-ray for the first time this month, as I was (re)watching all of the Netflix Marvel shows in anticipation on Jessica Jones: Season 2 being released (which ended up being a disappointment unfortunately, but that's another story). Overall I was very satisfied with the quality of the Blu-ray, and it was nice to discover that for the first time Netflix included a bonus feature with one of the Marvel Blu-rays. I haven't yet watched it, and I wish they included more extras, but it's something at least. I hope they continue these releases for the Marvel Netflix shows!

While I don't think Luke Cage quite stands up to the two seasons of Daredevil and the villains can't compete with Jessica Jones' first season with David Tennant, the first season of Luke Cage is still really good. Seeing Cage go from staying hidden to being recognized, becoming a super powered neighborhood watchman more than a super hero is interesting. The only disappointment I found was the first half of the season's main villain, Copperhead, transitions to a different villain for the final half where I found Copperhead more interesting. However, the final episode does offer a decent adaptation of a comic book villain's costume.

Great series. I do not suscribe to Netflix, but been purchasing the season series of Jessica Jones, Daredevil and now Luke Cage on blu-ray. Mike Colter as Luke Cage is awesome. It did take some time in developing the characters but I'm enjoying the first season immensely. Luke Cage is gritty, groundbreaking and profoundly powerful. Being a native New Yorker, I like that Jessica Jones take place in H__l's Kitchen and Luke Cage in Harlem.

This is a great show from the marvel universe and I am glad that it has been released here so best buy can sell it. I love these shows as they allow for great characterization of some obscure marvel characters. This is more adult than the shows on abc so beware, but for the marvel fan it is a must have. Best buy had a great price as most stores do not carry it so it made my life easier.

Old school exploitation-style series, with a lot of bang-for-the-buck entertainment! Great casting, awesome action, not for small children with the language and violence though like all of the Marvel Netflix stuff. This is perfect for us older comic fans!

I watched the Luke Cage DVD 1st season with my grandson and we both enjoyed it a lot. We are now looking forward to the release of season 2 on DVD. I prefer the DVD instead of streaming because I don't have to commit to a monthly fee. The series on DVD allows me to purchase only what I think I will watch.

A great spinoff from Jessica Jones telling the story of luke cage once a convicted felon when a prison lab accident changed his life forever making him invincible to harm. Now he is Luke Cage hero for hire. Great show.

Netflix did a great job with this one. Raw, gritty and a little "gangsta." First Daredevil. Then Jessica Jones. Now Luke Cage. It's a shame it was cancelled. Looking forward to the release of the season 2 on bluray.

Glad they're continuing to release the Marvel Netflix shows for physical home release. Hopefully, Disney/Marvel will decide they want to resume releasing their other TV shows (e.g. Agents of SHIELD) for home release soon!

Luke Cage is one of the best Marvel/Netflix series out right now. This show has plenty of character development and it's very entertaining. By the end of the series you feel fulfilled and waiting a second season!
