This laptop is absolutely sleek, lightweight, portable, and fast. My old computer had broke and wasn’t very portable but I can take this to my classes, Lightroom runs excellent, and plenty of storage!! It got knocked off a counter after about a week of having it, I was almost in tears fearing the worst as it landed open, screen down, like a tent. Not a single crack or scratch.

I ordered this MacBook for writing my reviews and I'm thrilled with it! It syncs with my iPad Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max and my iPad mini BEAUTIFULLY! It seamlessly connects between devices making it effortless to toggle between my devices depending on my needs. I can write at home or on the go and pick up exactly where I left off on any device. The MacBook is portable enough to fit all of my backpacks yet, it's light enough to not add too much weight. It's easy to find affordable, protective and stylish cases or sleeves for traveling with my MacBook while providing the peace of mind that my MacBook is safe during travel. The fingerprint security offers the ultimate security for protection of my MacBook/icloud account. The screen is vibrant with excellent imagery. Streaming is a breeze whether I'm watching something or just listening to music. The multi tasking capability is better than my iPad Pro. The mouse pad and gestures are incredible!! It's so easy to toggle between my notes and webpages for efficient and thorough reviews or to just toggle between apps and functionalities. The interface is smooth no matter what I'm using my MacBook for. I really don't notice a difference in my M1 chip and operating system as opposed to my Husband's M2 chip MacBook. Memory has never been as issue with the 8GB memory and 256GB SSD. My MacBook is rarely ever laggy or non responsive. It never overheats and works beautifully for my daily use and needs. It connects smoothly (via Bluetooth) with my razor cobra mouse and my Logitech mechanical keyboard when I'm stationed in front of my MacBook for working and writing. I haven't noticed any bluetooth connectivity issues between my devices and my MacBook. Battery life is superb. I literally have my MacBook on like all day long and charge it roughly every 3 days or so. (Even after year of ownership) Maybe every other day if I'm using my MacBook for a solid 12 hours for 2 days. The two USB C port are great for both quick charging and my acer USB C 7 in 1 hub. (which provides a convenient display port hub for my monitor out SD ports for my SD cards) The only negative experience I've had with my MacBook in the year that I've owned it is that it has randomly disconnected from wifi. It happened a few times when I first bought my MacBook. Although it took a matter of seconds to simply reconnect to my wifi it was still annoying to deal with. We recently switched internet providers and since then the issue has not reoccured. Additionally in the year I've owned my MacBook it did freeze on me like 3 separate times (randomly and months apart) where I had to do a hard reset for my MacBook to get it smoothly functioning again. Once I did my hard reset the MacBook functions beautifully and smooth with no indication of other concerning issues. The other thing I did notice is that occasion some apps will freeze and simply show a spinning mouse icon. I specifically notice this with the notes app. Force closing the frozen app resets it and gets it smoothly operating again. I would assume that the hard reset I had to do for my MacBook as well as the froze notes app is a result of literally always having my MacBook on and never really turning it off. When I'm done for the day I usually just close my MacBook and open it back up to pick up where I left off the day before. 9/10 times that's not an issue and the MacBook functions smooth and beautifully. The most common issue is my notes app freezing. I usually see this issue about once a month or maybe even once every 6 weeks or so. It's not so recurrent that it drives me crazy but, it is something I have noticed. Despite the minor hiccups I've occasionally experienced I'm loving my MacBook. For my daily use it performs beautifully! It's smooth and seamlessly connects with all my other apple devices. It's easy to use and extremely portable. It's a million times better than the previous Dell and HP models I've used/owned in the past. I would whole heartedly recommend this MacBook to anyone looking for a work horse MacBook that holds up to long hour daily use.

I was hesitant to switch to Apple because it is a much different system. But, I love my phone and watch, and most of the employees at my job use Macbooks, so I decided to make the switch. I love it so much! It is fast, easy to use, and being able to link my watch and phone is nice as well. The size makes it portable. It is also lightweight and holds a charge well. As someone who debated this purchase because of the price, I would say I wish I had purchased one sooner.

Absolutely the best laptop I've ever owned and the M1 chip is pronounced as one of the 5 most advancements in process computing by many PC magazines (ever). No loud fan, runs completely cool and the battery life is incomparable to most any devise which is battery powered! Thin and extremely light weight with a brilliant display. The first MacBook I've ever owned and will never go back to any other Laptops or books!

Coming from a windows laptop this was a fresh of breath air. The m1 gives this laptop the responsive and easy of use of an iPhone. I found myself doing things I would usually do on my phone (because it turns on instantly) on my m1. The laptop gets a similar cpu score to my i7-9700 desktop which blows my mind. The laptop has no fans and is cold to the touch when doing anything light. It only got warm/hot when I benchmarked it. Personally, switching from windows has been amazing. I’m a student and all my apps work with Mac OS. I’ll have to get parallels later on so I am a little hesitant on running Windows on my Mac, but online tutorials say it works great. Battery life isn’t even a topic on this laptop. It suffers no drop in performance on battery and the battery lasts days unless constantly on it. As a student, forget about taking a charger to school. As a web browser and email checker, your machine will feel like it’s powered by the sun. Standard with Macs the speakers are increadible for the form factor. The keyboard is also realky nice and easy to get used to coming from windows. The keyboard also feels bigger than what I had on my old 15inch Lenovo. The finger print entry is also instant access into the laptop. I definitely prefer it to any face scanner as well cause I’m often in class with a mask on so faceID doesn’t make much sense. I doubt any windows laptop can compete. The display is super nice. Would appreciate a touch screen or 144hz, but I guess Apple wants to keep those features in the iPad Pro line up. The bezels are a little big for my taste, but the sleak design makes up for it. I bought the gold m1 air and put a black debrand skin on the top. Makes the laptop look very nice. Would recommend to any student that doesn’t need a gaming laptop (don’t recommend for architecture students). This laptop has more power than most people will ever need in a laptop, but put at an extremely competitive price. At this point, the only laptop that can compete is apples next laptop m2 or m1x.

This was my first Mac purchase and I love it. I sometimes feel like I’m not using it to its best if it’s ability because it’s so much to do on it. Easy to carry in a bookbag and doesn’t take much space at all. The battery life is also amazing it can go days without needing a charge. Speed is also fast to surf the web or stream

Let me start by saying that my family and I are HARD on products. 8 year-ago, my husband gifted me a new MacBook Pro. It took me a little bit to get acquainted with the OS but I quickly did. I shared that computer with my younger children (then aged 8 & 9). In these 8 years, our little laptop has seen a few states, a pandemic, dirty hands, a bunch of gaming websites, and been dropped more times than any of us are willing to admit. NEVER a virus or need for repair. I did replace a battery once and a few charging cords along the years (when the cats were young and bite-y)…but that has been it. My youngest child (now 16) had pretty much commandeered the laptop for the summer so I decided to buy a new laptop for myself as an early graduation present (I’m finishing nursing school in December). I didn’t even bother looking at anything other than the MacBook. Although I am a pragmatic person, this little MacBook Air is certainly attractive. Sleek, slender, and faster than lightning and screen is unbelievably clear. It does everything I need it to do and the charge lasts FOREVER. Here’s hoping I can get at least another 8 years out of this one.

The M1 MacBook Air packs a punch thanks to Apple's latest chip. Performance is blazing fast whether browsing, editing documents, or even light photo editing - everything open instantly without slow down. The sharp Retina display, excellent battery life, and seamless Touch ID make it very easy to stay productive on-the-go. Wi-Fi 6 ensures I max out internet speeds when connecting to fast networks. Overall as a student and creative professional, I’ve found the perfect balance of power and portability with the new M1-powered MacBook Air. The speed improvements combined with the slim and light design make this my top recommendation for anyone needing performance without sacrificing mobility

I got this MacBook from Best Buy and it's been awesome for school! It's super light, so I can carry it everywhere. The screen is really clear, which makes reading and watching stuff easy on my eyes. Although I know this computer is totally on the expensive side but it is so worth it. The best part is how fast it is. The M1 chip makes everything run quick, even when I have a lot of tabs open. The battery lasts all day, so I don't have to worry about charging it during classes. The keyboard is comfy to type on, and the trackpad works great. It also works well with my other Apple stuff, which helps me stay organized and on top of my schoolwork. Overall, this MacBook has really helped me do better in school. I totally recommend it!

I bought these laptop yesterday but I didn’t want to leave a review on it to quick I wanna see what the best these laptop can do I was checking on the scratches and the damage on the laptop but there isn’t any damages am so relieved. IS SO BRND NEW, The Laptop is so cute,. The laptop is so thin which is why I like it bec it is easy to lift it and also easy to just throw it in any bag. Why I liked the laptop bec it is easy for me to throw it in any bag and really good for school. it has every upgrade in there also it’s really good for business or marketing. The packaging is so so good not to even talk about the battery these baby right here last so well it is comfortable to take the laptop anyway without worry about charging it u can leave the charging wire at home it’s still fine just take the laptop and go by ur day and the speed in it oh my god I don’t even know what to say IS GOOD am telling y’all It is worth the money. Another thing am curious about is that does it’s supposed to have a light on the back of the apple screen maybe it’s because I have been using a 2013 MacBook Air that was damaged but I like it. you don’t need to have a double doubt whether you should or you shouldn’t buy it. JUST BUY THE LAPTOP AND YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED

This computer is conveniently small and portable, yet sturdy and well-made. It also handles my photography and video software without hesitation. I did not realize it came without usb or sd inserts but I bought an adapter to use all if my sd cards and usb drives. I also like that it matches my headphones.

For a long time I have wanted a MacBook Air. Now that I finally have one, I feel like my tasks have lightened up. It’s easy to use, doesn’t heat up on me, and I’m able to perfectly multitask. I have not tried gaming with it, but I think it would be okay with some light games so long as they don’t take up all the storage (perhaps getting an extended storage would help with that). Soooo happy with my purchase!!!

It's a great laptop. The M1 chip lives up to its potential. The battery lasts all day without having to recharge. I've also used it for light gaming and it has not gotten even a tab bit warm. Great performance for such a small laptop.

Coming from a 2013 MacBook Air 13 spec'd out with the 512GB flash storage, i7 CPU, and 8GB of RAM, this is still a huge upgrade! My old MacBook Air would throttle from opening up Any Adobe software, iMovie, Garageband, etc. It would also take over half an hour just for some 2-4 minute clips I want to render. I ended up watching paint dry :( With the new M1 MacBook Air, it is super quiet (literally because no fans), doesn't overheat, and doesn't feel "glitchy" when it is on full load. Getting the BASE model is enough for the majority of consumers, especially students. Battery life is ridiculously good. I was impressed by not having to charge it for 2 weeks with casual usage. This blows my mind. Those of you who are worried about the Intel --> M1 arm transition shouldn't be because I was able to use all of the programs I had on my previous MacBook Air. Not trying to sound like an Apple fanboy, but as I am typing this on the M1 MacBook Air, I wanted to say big kudos to Apple for implementing the M1 successfully. Overall, would definitely recommend this to ANY student, writer, artist, or someone who wants to get into the Apple atmosphere. This is the best option for the best performance to price ratio with a screen and insane battery life. One more thing, if you stationed at home all the time, I highly recommend getting the M1 Mac Mini.

The 2014 Mac Air VS the New Mac Air

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I own two Mac Airs. One from 2014 and this one. I would like to compare the two because I feel there are some features on the older version that are more desirable. 1. The Battery The new Mac battery lasts forever and charges quickly with a USB-C port. I favor the older magnetic charger but that's a small thing. 2. Display The new display is very clear however, the screen extends to the very edge of the device similar to the iPhone. So if you drop this device you're screwed. I dropped my 2014 and it dented the edge of the screen but didn't break the glass because of the extra aluminum edge. I don't think the new Mac screen would survive this. 3. The web cam The 2014 is very dark for some reason. The new Mac seems to have fixed this issue with a nice and clear video. 4. USB ports The 2014 has 2 USB-A ports, a lighting connection port, phone jack and an SDXC card slot The new Mac only has two USB-C ports and a headphone jack! so you need a number of adapters to connect anything which is quite annoying especially since my wireless mouse uses an old USB-A. Apple only sells limited adapters so you need to buy PC adapters which I'm not crazy about. However I have a dual USB-A adapter from Dell that works great 5. The Chip The M1 chip is lighting fast. Even though my 2014 has an 1.4 Ghz dual core I5, it doesn't compare. 6. The famous logo It's another little thing but, I liked the illuminated apple logo on the back of the 2014. Maybe its no longer there to extend battery life? Idk but I thought it was a nice feature that separated apple from the rest.

I’ve been using the MacBook Air M1 for 8 months now, and it continues to impress me with Apple’s intelligent design and innovation. The performance is lightning-fast, thanks to the M1 chip, which does tasks easily using advanced machine learning. The battery life still remains outstanding, easily lasting me 2 whole days without needing a charge. Its lightweight yet very durable build makes it perfect for on-the-go use. The Retina display, enhanced by Apple’s True Tone technology, delivers stunning visuals with vibrant colors. Even after months of use, it stays cool and silent, which shows Apple’s fanless efficiency. The Magic Keyboard and precise trackpad feel intuitive and responsive, enhancing productivity. macOS updates have been smooth, with features like Universal Control making multitasking smarter and easier. I appreciate how Apple’s ecosystem keeps everything connected effortlessly across my devices. For instance, I also own a iPhone 12, an iPad 9th Gen, & AirPod Pro's 2. My MacBook is seamlessly transferring files throughout my devices. Using the MacBook, when I receive calls, and lets say I answer the call on my iPhone 12, and my AirPods are connected to my MacBook, my AirPods are able to switch devices in less than a second. In conclusion, this MacBook Air is a masterpiece of thoughtful innovation and worth every penny!
