I have been waiting to do this purchase for awhile to replace my 15 in Macbook Pros with a smaller more “lappable” computer. Best Buys fathers day sale was the catalyst to purchase today. I previously looked at the 13 inch macbook but it was too small and lacked the power of the larger 15 inch which I needed. When I tried the 14 inch in the store it seemed like the perfect size. The 16 inch was way too heavy for me to use. During unpacking, I saw the packing materials was not up-to Apple’s previous quality standards but really not an issue, i.e, the wrapping paper for the computer was oversized, wrinkled and of a lower quality and the screen protector paper was wrinkled. Apple has had a problem meeting demand, so it could be due to sourcing issues. After unpacking, I was up and running in minutes. It took about an hour to install all my applications and set up my peripherals. I spent time to also install the latest MacOS Monterrey update. All were completed without a hitch. I must say the screen is gorgeous and very OLED like and the keyboard is excellent and much better than my 2017 MacBook Pro though not quite as good as the 2015. Computer is fast - Applications and files load extremely fast and reminiscent of my Ipad with the M1 processor. Where the 15 inch felt heavy and awkward to use on my lap on the couch, the 14 inch felt perfect which is what I wanted. When I use it on my desk, I use an external 27 in LG Ultrafine monitor, logitech MX keys keyboard and MX Master 3 mouse. It is really nice to have the power of the the 16 inch in a smaller lighter package. It has only been a few hours but this laptop met all my expectations. Very happy.

I got this MacBook and I love it. It has a big screen and it’s not too heavy. The color of it is cute too. I use this MacBook for school and it’s perfect. The battery life is long.

Excellent choice for a multi use laptop. I use this for my photography, Zoom meetings, Banking and mant other things. Love the size, weight and performance.

As a music creator and Software Engineer I am constantly working on my laptop and I required something with these three attributes. I used the 15 and 16 inch Macbooks in the past. Nothing beats this one in terms of battery life, portability or performance. Battery life with full charge with constant work is around 8-10 hours. With intermittent working it can go up to 12-14 hours. Never got stuck with multiple processes running in the background. I run heavy programs including small scale machine learning and running huge projects (50-60 tracks) in logic pro X. Never tried editing video though. I love to work lying on my bed or from a coffee shop and this is the ideal sized laptop for me. I can just carry it in my hands and confidently go outside without carrying a charger.

Got this MacBook bout a week ago, and its been great, the battery life is excellent, The display was like WOW!! Its beautiful, stunning. Compared to the display on the MacBook Air M1 I sold to get this one. Love all the ports, MagSafe charging is so cool, and great if your clumsy like me and trip on cables..The keyboard is is great to type on, has a feel nice feel, great typing experience. Love the overall design of this MacBook, its got a bit of retro and new style. It honestly doesn't feel much heavier than my Air. Very easy to move around. The notch isn't a problem at all, I have my Pro on Dark mode, and I never notice it. Would definitely highly recommend this to anyone!!!

A great laptop for the price. This laptop will handle most computing tasks thrown at it. It has great build quality, battery life, and screen quality. However, if you want to game on this go for a PC.

As always, Apple delivers with an amazing machine that excels at almost everything. I upgraded from a 2020 MacBook Air and immediately see the difference. Videos that previously took 60 minutes to export from iMovie take less than ten. By far, worth the price in editing speed alone. The extra ports, return of MagSafe charger and the larger screen are all extras that keeps it worth the extra cost. Of course, the limitations in console gaming continue to be a drawback on all Apple computers, but other than that, it’s a must buy.

Excellent laptop! I came from the Intel 13 inch MacBook Air, and the extra display real estate is noticeable. The keyboard is night and day better than the Air- I actually enjoy typing on the Pro, with less mistakes too. Great battery life on the Pro where after a typical day of emails, web surfing, a few Youtube vids, I still have 75% juice left. The ports are plenty on this laptop- nice to have SD card slot. Very efficient laptop too. After a month of usage, I haven't heard the fan turn on yet. The only expected downside is that it's roughly 0.5 pound heavier than the Air, but not a big deal to me.

Best Macbook Pro to buy for work, school, and leisure altogether. The performance of the base line model I had purchased is more than enough and is phenomenal. I had multiple tabs opened on a web browser and including other applications opened in the background, and there was no issue with the fan turning on or the laptop overheating (thanks to the M1 Pro - base line chip). The battery life is amazing as well and I didn’t have to worry on bringing my brick charger and cable while I commute. I didn’t have to charge my laptop until at least a day or two later (depending on how long I’ve used it for school/work). Most definitely recommend this to anyone looking to purchase a high quality laptop to use for the years to come.

Perfect laptop, excellent battery life, great performance of M1 Pro (there is no much difference when comparing speed to the M2 pro), amazing xdr display - great for HDR movies and editing.

Excellent speed, battery life, speakers, display and ports! For the sale price with $400 off, it’s worth getting this model instead of waiting for a slight speed bump with the M2 model whenever that comes out.

Upgraded from a 2016 13" MBP and the performance and battery life are amazing! Really enjoy the keyboard and typing on this is much better than the previous Mac. Glad Apple brought magsafe back to the Mac!

This 2021 MacBook Pro is very fast, capable and has excellent battery life (and I use it for more than surfing). It has a good looking case and the screen is beautiful. When placed on a table or my desk, the keyboard sounds oddly hollow and plasticy for some reason, but the feel of the keyboard is good no matter where I'm using it. The trackpad is nice and slippery, almost too slippery with almost zero tactile feel. A little more drag would be nice. It is also very sensitive to tapping, so I have turned off tap to click, requiring me to push to feel the click of the trackpad because I was accidentally clicking things a lot. Overall I still give it 5 stars because of it's improvements over my 2014 MacBook Pro.

Best laptop I’ve had till now! It is super fast, never gets over-heated even though I run computation-heavy workloads on it. They keyboard also feels super nice.
