I moved up from a 2015 MBP, and noticed an immediate difference. The performance is top notch, the keyboard feel for me is good, and the size is great, not being too large or heavy. I waited some time to complete this review so I could honestly speak to both the quality and durability. Both are 5-star in my book at this point.

One of the best laptops that I've ever had. The battery life lasted me all day. It processes extremely well! I have no complaints about this laptop.

My previous macbook gave out on me the day before thanksgiving. thankfully the black friday deals were awesome and I got a great price on the macbook I had my eyes on for a while. I use this for school and my business and it never slows down on me. and it can go days without a charge with regular use

Beautiful MacBook pro, I upgraded from a 2016 macbook and I cant even describe how nice the new models are, the display is simply beautiful and the processor is incredibly fast. I am in love with my new macbook pro and makes studying and work really easy because theres never any lagging issues.

However, despite its many virtues, I find myself yearning for the lighter, less bulky design of its predecessors, wishing for the perfect blend of power and portability in Apple's design evolution.

I've owned dozens and dozens of Windows notebooks over the years. From premium to mid-range. And every single one has had at least one issue. Ironically, for my profession, the companies I've worked for over the last decade use strictly MacBook Pros. And not one has had an issue. Truth be told, I had one replaced because I had it for three years and the company was issuing me a hardware refresh. It was time for me to get another personal notebook. My last one was a Surface Laptop 3 which I've already sent in once. I'm done playing that game and went for the 14" MacBook Pro M1 and I'm hoping it will last me another three years. I tried really hard to find a Windows notebook equal in price and in overall quality to this Mac just because I know my spouse and kids will use it more than I. But I could not find one. Not one.

The MacBook Pro 14-inch is a triumph of design, power, and portability. Its vibrant Liquid Retina XDR display, fast M1 Pro chip, and restored ports including MagSafe, make it a dream for creatives and professionals. While pricey, and somewhat demanding on the battery during heavy tasks, its performance is unquestionably top-tier.

This is the first Mac in close to a decade that didn't make me cringe at what I had to live without in order to use my favorite operating system. No throttling while on battery, excellent temps and little to no fan noise under load. Sips power when it isn't necessary, instant wake, SD card slot, HDMI port, 120hz Adaptive refresh display, No Touch Bar, MagSafe..... If you have any interest at all in Mac, the 13 inch M1 air will be more than 80 percent of you will need for half a decade, and will more than pay for itself during its use. For the rest of us, the m1 pro/max is the first round knockout you were hoping for when they displayed the previous generation. I have no caveats - You already know if you need the performance or not - this machine is simply excellent, and worthy of your money. Full stop.

Very pleased with the performance of the M1 processor and battery life. Seems much faster than my Intel iMac. Didn’t think I would like editing on a laptop but it’s been my preferred computer for many months. Very happy with my MacBook!

I actually don't use this computer as much as I was planning to but I love it. The screen is great, the size is wonderful for portability, and it's fast.

Great so far. Fast, great display, great battery life, well built, love the ports. Hopefully it lasts. Made the jump from $700 PC laptops so that hopefully this one lasts 8 yrs or more

Quite the speed machine . sturdy body, great sound, good battery backup.It has fans but in rare cases have I seen them kick off. Quite efficient. Found it better than M2. Students should definitely get this if you are into coding and editing. Got at an amazing deal at best buy. Definitely a thumbs up.

This is a wonderful laptop for video editing and photo editing. It works great for dnd, the camera looking amazing. The keyboard feels great for writing and the display is crisp.

These MBPs are literally the best Apple has ever made. I am thoroughly impressed. Before this purchase I was switching my work load between a MBP 2017 and a PC i9. I am amazed at the efficiency and power of this Laptop, and the 14 inch is the perfect size. Also, it is the first line where Apple seems to be focusing now on function over form or design. Previously Apple was forcing their engineers to work around the form factor created by Apple designers. This is what led to so many issues throughout the line-up over the years - I mean creating new ports to serve their design goals?? Come on. They were pushing their engineers to go smaller and thiner and, consequently, were constrained by the design. Form factor came first. Well, it seems Apple has changed its tune, and in doing so, they created the BEST MBP ever. Thanks for listening Apple!

I've been a Windows user my whole life. Always heard how great MacBooks were as far as their construction and performance but didn't believe the hype and figured they were just overpriced versions of the same old-same old. I was wrong. The solid construction of this laptop is impressive. No cheap plastic feel here. The battery life is ridiculous! Way, way longer than the old Lenovo I came from. And the instant-on performance is really sweet too. No waiting for the laptop to emerge from sleep mode. Oh, and did I mention how quiet this thing is? I know it must have fans but I honestly have yet to hear them. This 14" MacBook Pro is a truly impressive piece of hardware for which I waited years to upgrade and it has totally been worth it. I can see enjoying this laptop for many years to come.

Powerful for 4k video/music editing. Gorgeous HDR screen, light, and long battery life. Superb spatial audio for video consumption. Since I utilize all of the above, it is a perfect laptop for me on the go. The price is reflecting its capabilities. Coming from the Windows side, this laptop leaves all Windows laptops in the dust.

My first Macbook and did a lot of research on the M1 pro or the M2 pro. M1 was slightly more, but for the capabilities, ports, performance I chose the M1. It’s been the best laptop I’ve every purchased. Coming from a windows based laptop there was some things I needed to learn, but nothing crazy. I would definitely recommend.

I was hesitant to spend the money on the new MacBook Pro because I usually buy refurbished MacBooks. Because I use Zoom in my job, I needed a MacBook that had at least a quad core, and many refurbished models only have a duo core. I scored 36 month free financing which made this decision easier, and I am so glad I bought this new model. It communicates with all of my other apple devices seamlessly. My favorite feature is the fingerprint scan that you can use to bypass typing in all of your passwords. I also like that I can use it for a couple of days without needing to charge it. This is so helpful when going into all day meetings where I am not sure if there will be an outlet to plug in my computer. It doesn't make any noise and it doesn't get hot on your lap. It is super fast to the point that when I have to use another "fast" computer, I get impatient because mine is still faster.
