It is an amazing computer, its performance is spectacular and best bay delivery is the best

The shipping was so quick even though it was around black Friday I got it within 2 days instead of the previously estimated 7 days. The performance of the laptop was even better than I thought it would be handling my video editing and 3d modeling hobbies pretty easily. I also started learning unreal engine 5 but using it on this laptop was causing it to heat up too much so I wouldn't recommend it for that purpose.

This baby if I can sum it up in one word wow! I had a 2013 Mac book. This just blows me out of the water at every step of the way! Speakers, display, and quality for an average joe like me it’s more than enough.

I chose this as an upgrade to my mid-2014 MacBook, and it certainly lived up to my expectations. It's a remarkable machine that excels in all areas, from its lightning-fast speed and crisp display to its quality speakers and long-lasting battery life. The only drawback is its weight, but that's a small price to pay for all of the other improvements.

With the release of the M2 Pro and Max chips the M1 Pro and Max Macbook Pros have seen deals. I got mine for $3099 and had bestbuy totaltech memberships so that saved me $200 on apple care with one less year. I’ll just renew when the time comes. I also applied for a my bestbuy credit card to use to receive 10% credit points to use on future purposes. I now have over $300 in giftcard points. The 16in M1 Max Macbook 32GPU, 32GB Ram, 1TB SSD is running parallels, crossover, and even an ARM Linux partition with ease and torrents/website downloads seem quite fast but that could just be my internet at the time. Final Cut Pro had some playback slowdowns during rendering on a 1 hr clip but in the background I had a dynamic wallpaper video playing, an opened game running, spotify, and many safari tabs open. I’m very impressed and everything seems fast and smooth. Even airdrop from my iPhone 12 Max transfered over 1 hr video clips without interruption. Hope to use this laptop for 5 years until M7 Max comes out.

I finally upgraded from a 15" MacBook Pro that I've been using almost daily since July 2012 (without a single issue!). It was feeling a little slow but I didn't realize just how slow compared to the M1 Max... it is FAST! Everything happens nearly instantaneous and the new display looks even better than the old 15" retina display. The battery life is incredible too.

If you're buying this top end model with the M1 Max chip, you really need to have a use for it, like for video editing in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro, or for music production in Logic Pro, otherwise, go for the M1 Pro model. Because of the 32 core GPU you'll be using a bit more battery than the lower models, even when they aren't being used, and still have the same CPU processing power as the M1 Pro. Be sure to buy the model with the memory you think you'll need in the future, not what you think you'll use today. There is no upgrade path for memory or SSD, it's soldered on to the motherboard. But, 32 GB of Unified memory is probably plenty for most users, the system can also use the SSD for SWAP memory if it needs more. As far as the screen is concerned it is the best laptop screen I have ever seen. I can't imagine what they'll do to improve upon it in the future, except for making it a touch screen, possibly. The build quality of this laptop is top notch, no pun intended (the "notch" hasn't been an issue after the first 10 minutes or so of use), machined from a single piece of aluminum, the chassis is extremely sturdy and the keyboard is very nice and responsive, although it does not have the extended number keypad. I've used the 16" Apple M1 Max laptop for 3D rendering and it will generate some heat, and the fans will create some noise when you get the CPU usage maxed out, but most of the time it is nearly silent. As of this writing there aren't many software that take full advantage of the M1 Max's GPU cores, but many companies are working to add METAL GPU acceleration in the near future. All in all, this was a good purchase for my work and personal useage.

This is my first MacBook pro after 12 years in software industry. I am a Windows guy and very satisfied with what Windows has provided in past 20 years, and I was hesitated to switch to mac, but I should confess that working with mac is easier and more pleasant for beginners and I can easily transfer my knowledge from Windows world. I could easily install all the software that I need in not time. The screen is the best I have seen in any laptop. The keyboard is so fun to work with and is way better than the older version. The battery is the King! I re-charge my laptop every 4-5 days (I don't watch videos for long time) .The CPU and GPU power is really great. I haven't seen a glitch in running any app yet. The BestBuy sales people were really helpful and made the decision making and purchase process really easy form me. The delivery was exceptionally fast (less than 24 hours) and packaging was top of the line. I received my MacBook pro in mint condition and everything was as promised and expected. I sincerely suggest this machine to anyone who wants to invest on a computer for at least 5 years. Also BestBuy financing programs are better than Apple and although I could use Apple financing , I preferred BestBuy.

Battery is great. Fast. Easy to use for work or play. A bonus is that the fans barely turn on and if so are very quiet. The speakers are surprisingly fantastic. Amazing for laptop speakers and still good when compared to many larger options.
