Had the 2013 MacBook Pro with Intel chip was always kicking on fan. The software was no longer supported by Apple so decided to trade up. This new Computer is so much superior to one I had which still worked. Love the speed, The screen is the best there is. Keyboard is also much better. The addition of all the inputs HDMI USBC , and new MagSafe and SD Card slot. Would buy again.

Awesome screen and keyboard. Wonderful addition of ports versus previous models. I appreciate the silver color shows less fingerprints and wear versus the other anodized colors on MacBooks. Love the years of OS updates my Mac’s always get and expect years of use ahead. Not as portable for air travel as the 14-inch MacBook Pro, or 13-inch MacBook Air, but wonderful for working remote when traveling.

First off, this reminds me of the original MacBook Pro, circa 2007. It feels and works great and I love the fact that the screen is so wide and you can work on many different applications without feeling like your eyes are going bad. I do wish they would add a USB port and a charging port on the right side to match the left, but that is a small quibble over such a beautiful piece of machinery.

I’d been using my 2012 MacBook Pro (itself a tank that still works) for years, and since I do a lot of music and video production, I found myself wanting something with more power/speed. I’d put off upgrading due to the price tag, but decided to go for it, and I couldn’t be happier. This thing screams. I’ve had zero issues running video while recording and mixing 70+ audio tracks in Logic Pro. Awesome!

Nice personal laptop to have also great for work and play

I've had to return this. Despite how beautiful and powerful it is, the 16GB RAM just doesn't cut it when you're working with a number of apps at the same time. Tried to upgrade to at least 32GB RAM machine but it was unavailable to order. If you're working with large files, you'll want a stronger machine.
