The reviews for this game are ridiculous. Because it uses mechanics from Batman and Assassin's Creed, and features a desolate landscape as an open world, the game is labeled as repetitive. It's no more repetitive than any other open world game, yet you get the destructive vehicle combat just like the movies. Throughout the game you are constantly leveling up your fighting moves, character attributes, vehicles attributes, and even base camps. There's plenty of things to keep you busy, and the super storms are straight out of Fury Road. If you like the game play found in Batman and Assassins Creed, open worlds filled with things to do, and any of the Mad Max films, I'm sure you'll enjoy Mad Max the game.

Atmosphere screams the movie all the way. Fighting system is like Batman Arkham series and vast open world that truly feels post apocalyptic.

This game is about as gorgeous as you can make an apocalyptic wasteland look. This game has one of, if not THE, best skyboxes I've ever encountered in a game. I found myself often stopping to simply admire the sky. The real-time weather effects are amazing as well. Gameplay can become slightly repetitive as a lot of the missions repeat in different areas. If you played Shadow of Mordor, it's very similar in the combat system & quests without the Nemesis system. I almost wish they'd included something like that in this and maybe they will in future updates. The driving system is a lot of fun & there are multiple cars you can work on as opposed to only the one.

Don't overlook this game. One of the best open world experiences of the year. Excellent car combat and tons of stuff to do make it one of the most enjoyable games of the year.

There are so many things to do in this game it is actually surprising. The story adds more weight to the overall universe of Mad Max, and you can tell right away that the writers had fun writing this one up. It is not a hard to pick up and play game at all. You actually feel improvements over both your vehicle and your character as you level them up. I recommend this game to anyone who has some time to kill until the next AAA game comes out.

This game is the average movie adaption. The graphics are decent, but nothing spectacular. Gameplay is a mix of on-foot combat and driving. I can see how they tried to combine the two types of gameplay to make it more fun, and it succeeds to a degree. If you enjoyed the movie, I think you'll enjoy the game more than someone who is not familiar with the storyline. I gave it 4 stars, but I would say more like 3.5 stars.

This game has a little bit of everything. There is good vehicular combat as well as good hand to hand combat. It's also an action RPG with you constantly looking to upgrade your character by completing tasks and finding loot. It can get a little tedious driving from one side of the map to the other but this game is a ton of fun. I have loved every minute of it so far and plan on working towards the platinum trophy.

I played shadow of morder and enjoyed it a lot. It was repetitive but it played great and looked pretty good. This has a better looking world to me, the wasteland is not something I can go outside and see everyday. This seems like a good escape. It is a more action oriented fallout, and when I finally finish fallout I will jump into this. I trust avalanche made another great game in a year of great games.

I had no interest in the Mad Max universe prior to this game (have never seen any of the movies) and I, in fact, thought this game would be vaporware or sloppy shovelware since it basically dropped off the radar after the original E3 2013 reveal. However, this game is a surprisingly fun post-apocalyptic open-world action game. If you enjoy car battles, customizing cars, exploring vast wastelands, and intense third-person combat (similar to AC series or Arkham series) then you'll enjoy this game.

I'm at least 40 hrs in and loving every minute! Gameplay is fun and makes you want to keep exploring to get scrap to make Max and the car stronger. Beautiful visuals, wonderful sound. Cool capture mode lets you get great screenshots and video's of the all the carnage. Not ground breaking, but borrows from other games that get a lot right. Nails the Mad Max atmosphere and world. Highly recommended!

I've only had a few hours of game play on Mad Max. My first impression is that it's reminiscent of Red Dead Redemption wrapped up in an apocalyptic universe. However, I've had a blast playing it so far. The gameplay is straight forward and easy to get into. I would say from what I've seen so far, I would recommend this game - if you like the gore and violence associated with these types of games.

This game isn't very challenging - maybe too easy, actually - but it's still a lot of fun. Hand-to-hand combat is like a simplified version of the Batman games. Car combat is easy, too. The fights and explosions look and feel awesome, though. Driving and upgrading cars are a definite highlight. Lots of stuff to do and collect. Overall, I'm really enjoying this game.

I put over 40 hours into this game, absolutely loved it. It's exactly what I wanted in a Mad Max game, from the characters to the car customization to the combat. I will say that the story was a little stale and the collectibles can be a chore, but the pure fun I had roaming the wasteland in my custom "magnum opus" chasing down vehicle convoys, infiltrating strongholds, racing, etc., more than made up for it. I think they could've added a little more varied content, and maybe some more interesting set pieces or environmental storytelling, but I truly hope they will make another in the series because I believe they have a fantastic base for a solid sequel. Don't expect it to be your next all time favorite, but it's a great game to play in between the next big AAA hit.

Mad Max is finally a video game and it's done right. The graphics look great for being a wasteland. The gameplay mechanics are excellent from car combat to ground fighting. It's got a ton of stuff to do and can get addictive, but also repetitive. It's a very enjoyable game..
