A Solid Mindless Action Romp
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the game is a reincarnation of all the great WB games like the Batman Arkham series and Shadows of Mordor with the addition of car customization and combat. The story line is kind of weird and its definitely not in cannon with the Fury Road movie but fun none the less. WOO!!

Very good, but a bit repetitive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game recreates the tone and look of Fury Road very well. The combat is fun, especially if you're already familiar with the Arkham/Shadow of Mordor strike/parry/counter-type systems. The missions and side-missions are fun, but there are a lot of them, and they can get a bit stale if taken in during an extended play session. The upside is, there's plenty of upgrades to Max, his car and his stats, all of which feel useful and welcome additions to the various arsenals with which you're working. I recommend digesting the game in smaller chunks than one might indulge in whilst playing other sandbox-type games.

Great Sandbox Experience!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a huge fan of the Mad Max series. This game is very true to that storytelling saga, mixing then combat system from Shadow of Mordor with an engaging racing/vehicle usage. The story itself is a bit simple (like the movies, honestly), but it's gorgeous and the world is huge. It boils down to being a big sandbox that is fun to play in.

Good not Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like driving around destroying things with a car this is a good game for you. If you have played Batman or Shadow of Mordor, you will like the hand to hand combat. Everything looks like it is right out of the movie. The game does get a little repetitive at times.

Glitch and Repeat
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first few hours of Mad Max were a fun mix of open world exploration and leveling up. Almost everything that followed was a disappointment. The game lacks for variety. By the four hour mark the only new or surprising things left were glitches. Sometimes Max would just die (once will sitting in a car, another time opening a chest). The game only supports auto save, so you're at the mercy of the system there. The fast travel function in the game ocassionaly breaks forcing you into long drives to engage in some repetitive task you've performed a dozen times before. Some have compared the combat in MM to that of the Arkham series, but that's inaccurate. In Arkham the camera pulls out to give you a sense of your surroundings, in Max the exact opposite happens. The camera moves infuriatingly close to Max during melee encounters. You know there's some enemy off screen but you don't know where until he smashes a pipe across your skull interrupting your combo or should you make the mistake of moving too close to a wall you'll be thrown into even more disorienting/useless first person perspective. For completionist there's the added downside of a faulty collectibles counter that can spaz without notice costing you trophies or forcing you into another playthrough. The lone bright spot in this heavily flawed game is the vehicle combat but that alone cannot redeem the numerous glitches, idiotic A.I. and boring mission structure.

Great game with wonderful visuals
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the game is a times a little repetitive, this is overshadowed by the sheer beauty of the art design and fantastic dialogue. The controls can be clunky, but no more than Batman and other Warner titles. And look out! Those mighty dusters will mess you up!

Mad Max Ps4
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game may be getting over shadowed on release by MGS but it's definitely worth playing! Made by the guys who created Just Cause 2 you know this game has been put together well. The fighting, vehicles, customization and open world area's are very well done!

Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The perfect example of a "good, but not great" game. I love that you can upgrade both Max and his car, but the repetition of taking down camps gets old fast. Nevertheless, the game looks great and there is fun to be had so it's definitely worth picking up.

A lot of fun. Great environments.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the game is glitchy at times, it a lot of fun. The best part is that you can undertake a short mission when you don't feel like investing the time, or long story missions. This keeps you glued to the game to get "one more thing of the checklist."

Decent, not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a decent open world game with a Mad Max skin applied to it. If you're a huge fan of Mad Max, this game should satisfy pretty well. If you were just hoping for a chaotic open world action game, you're probably better off getting Just Cause 3.

Meh...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am actually disappointed with the game play. And lack of custom control setup makes it difficult to get used to. The graphics are good. I do get sucked into the world, with a good story.

Very good game if you love action games
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game has been really fun and offers great fighting action with a little bit of racing/destruction derby play too! I was a big fan of the original and new Mad Max movies and couldn't wait to jump in to that world and have some fun!

Mad Max at it's best!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved Mad Max movies while growing up and loved Mad Max Fury Road as well and this game does not disappoint. Game looks great and is a must buy for Mad Max fans. If you like Batman and Shadow of Mordor you will be at home with this game as the combat controls are similar. Great game!!!

Awesome Game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love playing this game! The sound and graphics are amazing! I love open world games where you can take your time finishing the story because of how much there is to do in between. I hate buying a game and you finish it in less than a day, this is not one of those games! So much fun!

Fun combat and driving.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ground and vehicle combat are fun and action-packed. The world objectives do get kind of repetitive, but I like that it was open world and you could choose to drop the campaign and just do whatever you felt like doing.

Great game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only started completing the first couple missions but this game is great. Based on watching some gameplay videos I was not expecting it to be this good. Gameplay is really fun and somewhat like Shadow of Mordor.

Fun, but repetitive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Highly enjoyable game, great atmosphere, captures the feel of the Mad Max films, especially fury road. But beware, game tasks (while plenty) can start to get repetitive after awhile. Personally it was worth the purchase.

Underrated treasure
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game didn't get a lot of buzz in a world of GTAs and Assassins Creeds, but it should. Every bit as entertaining and engaging as those games and set in a world that separates it from the pack, Mad Max is a must for anyone that love the characters or good games. Buy it.

The perfect adaptation of Mad Max to video games
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Huge open world filled with beautiful environments where you fight to reclaim the wasteland from the gangs that control them by scavenging for loot and sustenance, customizing your own Mad Max vehicle, and fighting through massive storms. Fans of the movies will enjoy this.

Twisted Metal meets Batman
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you enjoyed the car combat of Twisted Metal and the hand to hand combat of Batman, then this is the game for you. My only knock against this game is that the missions can become a tad repetitive. But landing visceral knock out blows makes up for it. Highly recommend.
