This GPS is easy to use. I simply plugged in the address I needed to find and it mapped me straight to it. I like to be able to save the address for future use.

It was the least expensive of all the GPS at Best Buy at the time. I plugged it into my car and bam! I was off and running. No set up is needed just punch in an address and you're ready to go. Also has the Points of Interest feature where you don't even need to know the address of any business you're looking for, from gas stations to restaurants, banks, hotels and everything in between. Highly recommended!

Good Gps. My second Magllan. Easy to use menus. Suction cup mount is somewhat flimsy or easily breakable but arent they all. I like magellan products but their Content Manger software and support leave a lot to be desired. It seems to go down frequently. Map updates for the Twin Cities metro area seem slow to come but not sure how this compares with other GPS companies.

I thought this was going to be the cats pajamas, when I first installed it in our vehicle. Used it to take my wife to a seminar for her work to an unknown area of our state. It sent us to a shopping mall where we could not find the intended address. we called the address telephone number in question and had to get directions to finish the trip, it was another 1/4 mile up the road and on the other side.
While she attended the seminar I used it to to find some address for antiquing and it took me to all of them w/o fail. I tried the original address that failed several times and it continued to make the same mistake. also the turn arrows showing bend in the road are often completely backwards...don't trust for up coming sharp turns!
Other than I like it just fine

I like the user interface, touch screen, etc. However, the second location I tried was not found (but the street has been around for many, many years). So I'm wondering now how accurate the maps are and how often they are actually updated since an old address could not be found with the latest version of the map. Would not recommend at this point because I'm unsure of the accuracy until I use it more.

Simple to use initially out of the box. Very time consuming to do the software and map updates on a new unit. Even after doing the updates, some of the maps are still not up to date. Occasionally while driving on the "new " road that has been there for more than 5 years, the new GPS with the maps just updated indicates that the car is not on a road but out in a field (or something). I've seen this with other manufacturers GPS units as well.

I am new in this place so i needed a gps to help me find my way to work, home and any other places i wanted to go. I chose magellan because i have tried using it when i rented a car a month ago. This rental company provided a free use of magellan gps which i really liked because it's dependable, reliable and user friendly and i have also gotten used to it. I really love the advance notifications when you're told to make turns, plus the ding ding sound to tell you that it is time to change or turn. So i purchased the same brand despite the fact that all my friends are purchasing the other competing brand.
To my surprise, it doesn't work the same way as what the other model does. When you are only traversing one road, the other model only gives you instruction when it's time for you to change a street or road. But with this, it keeps on telling you to go straight. I thought at first, it was time for me to change lane or to turn because this is how i expected it to work like the first model i used. At a start, it was annoying and i found it useless especially that the other model of magellan doesn't work that way. But i also think, this is great for the beginners. Well, i didn't resist to this programming and observed how it was really working. Then, after gotten used to it, i learned to appreciate the way it does. For me, you have to act and be one with your device.
There are also times when i got lost but magellan calculates the road for me and takes me back to the route. I still find it reliable and dependable. I has added several features also which is a plus.

Just an overall great product. The price, the feel, large colorful screen, ease of use. We really loved how it enlarged every exit and/or turn off on Interstates and Highways. It got us from Iowa to Florida and back with no problems, I will trust it again.

As my first Magellan (had TomTom and got stolen), I have to get some used to on how to use it. Does appear to have more feature than my TomTom of 5 year. Able to find all address during my trip to DC.
Biggest negative is map not updated. The street of my friend's house of near 3-years in NJ still does not show on most updated map. PC software managing device/map uses many broken web links.

This is my second Magellan. The first one was stolen from my car. I found that I really missed the reassurance of a "buddy" in case I got lost, turned around, or just needed a route less traveled. This was a good price, on sale, but a bit smaller than my previous Magellan. I purchased another Magellan because I already knew how easy it is to use which was a necessary feature for me!

I bought this GPS for the price for our trip to Memphis. This is the best and most up to date GPS I've ever owned. It's accurate and easy to use. Not one problem going to and from Memphis. I would highly recommend this. I also like high slim it is and it's easier to store than my old bulky one.

I have owned a Magellan GPS for 7 years and it still works well but the maps are out of date. The new GPS, which has unlimited map updates, is the same price as the old GPS map updates. The thing I like most about Magellan is that the verbal instructions are so good that you do not have to take your eyes off the road to look at the screen.
