I travel a lot and hate to pay extra for GPS in the rental cars. This model was just what I needed and affordable, too. I like that it includes free lifetime map updates. The Traffic update came in handy on the freeways of Southern California --it warned me soon enough to get off on the side streets and re-route my trip!

Easy to use right out of the box-it even came with a charge and was ready to use. One of the best features is that the device uses landmarks as it tells you where to turn. Instead of saying "take the next right," this device says "take the right next to the bank.". You never need to take your eyes off the road!

Great for price. Landmark helps with turns. Showing road signs also help with staying in right lanes. I would recommend this product to a friend. Plus with lifetime maps and traffic lights cameras warnings you can't go wrong.

I went through 4 units in 3 years. The battery expanded on the first one and the GPS stuck in one location in two others.

I bought this model because it was a good price on sale I usually use garmin gps systems , after 2 weeks of use it just went crazy and stop working correctly I was stuck in a bad spot only being half done with my route......took it back that night to best buy and got a replacement unit on the spot....good job guys I was in and out without any shenanigans. ...so far this unit has worked fine.

Great peice of GPS equipment for the money. However if you drive a small convertible sportscar - need volume all the way up due to road noise, and mounting is tricky if you have curved windows in a small sportscar. . . otherwise a wise buy for the dollars.

I was totally happy with the mapping capability of the Magellan GPS, but the lifetime traffic was only available in a limited number of markets and mine wasn't one of them. Great for those of you who live in major cities

This Garmin was bought to replace my other Garmin. I like the easiness to program a new location, etc. It is very easy to stop the navigation even while at a stop light. I like the loudness of the voice and how it will reroute me if I make a wrong turn.

Very good GPS overall. Finds addresses pretty easily, however a little more difficult to use if trying to find a location/building (ie. a hotel) far away-- doesn't allow you to put in the name of the hotel in a city to find it. Very good visual interface. For the most part has been reliable and powers up and finds a signal quickly, however in the month that I have been using it, has once overheated and crashed on me, which left me stranded in the middle of nowhere! I suspect its because I didn't turn it off when I got out of the car previously, so it doesn't effect my overall recommendation of this product.

Works like is should, easy to use but has short battery life so if your cigarette lighter doesn't work or you don't have the charger you only have about 30 minutes before it dies.

Over all a good unit. My first experience with Magellan. One touch was easy to set up and use. Some aspects we found painful such as needing exact addresses of rather obvious tourist attractions.

I would have spent more to get the features i wanted, but the sales person was not knowledgeable at all. I spoke with multiple sales people but no ine seemed interested in helping me find the right device. I wanted the ability to import POIs and save trips and this does not offer those options. I like the map updates and the ease of navigation.

Had model 4420T for 3 years before it broke - loved it though so I though Magellan would be a good brand to stick with. This one must have been on the rejection list. My biggest complaint is that it always thinks I am off the road. I calibrate it to my home location. It works some of the time knowing I am on the road, but when I need it most around DC area, it whacks out and thinks I'm on other roads and recalculates and sends me off some long way to get to my destination. It apparently has problems syncing up to satellites. I would not recommend buying this model.
