Works great, and very quiet. Great product. Very sturdy.

After 5 years of dealing with laundry mats and sub-par apartment building laundry rooms, we purchased this washing machine. It has literally made our home-life a million times more peaceful. We set it up in our kitchen, near our sink. We hook it up when we need to use it, unhook it when we don't. It holds much more laundry than we thought it would, gets even the dirtiest laundry very, very clean. I'm glad it fit well next to our sink and that the hoses happened to be long enough, because I don't think we'd love it as much if we were trying to use it as a "portable" machine. But, set up as it is, my husband and I love it. I read complaints that it's too loud, but it sounds just like our dish machine. You need a reasonable solution to dry your clothes #though the spin cycle gets everything nearly dry!# We set up a laundry line on our balcony and our clothes come off the line in an hour dry and smelling like sunshine. Wish we'd purchased this machine 5 years ago!

Great washing machine for a small space apartments!

I bought it because I live in a condo. It was easy to set up and install. It works fine as long as you don't overload the machine.

Great 4 a small family U might do a couple more loads than a regular washer but it saves u the time of going to the laundry matt. Also pays 4 itself in 6months or less.

I bought 3 of these washers for refugee families that i am helping out. They have no money to do laundry, so for months they have been washing clothes in their bathtub. Their hands are literally damaged from the scrubbing and washing they do everyday to clean their clothes. This washer was a life changer for them. I set it up and it was SO easy. Easier than i imagined. Its easy to install and easy to operate. Even for them and they dont speak or read english. Its quiet and it does an awesome job. Would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in a portable washing machine. The clothes come out ALMOST dry! No need for a dryer!! Cant wait to buy more for the other families

I purchased my washer about a week ago and although best buy quoted that I would get my appliance in two weeks I received it in one week so that was a bonus. Now the washer- its great. It does exactly what its supposed to do. I'm not mechanically inclined at all and I had no trouble setting it up even though the directions were really really vague. My clothes are coming out clean and fresh and the spin cycle is the bomb because they come out almost dry. I can wash up to 8 large towels (fluffy towels) which would be just under over filling it and can comfortable wash 6 large fluffy towels which would leave room for a lot of wash clothes. I can wash two weeks worth of clothes for my four year old and he's a big boy and about a week of clothes for myself and I'm a size 18 female. My only complaint is that the wheels are not really portable- they are two small and there is only two on the back. The machine is bigger than I thought it would be, the basin is about the size of a small round laundry basket (except a little taller in length). I recommend that you watch the drainage hose because it can fall off the sink and flood your floor- so it's better if you put something on top of it to avoid that. Also since the washer doesn't have a middle agitator there are other agitators along side the middle of the machine that get the clothes very clean and redistributes the water throughout the bottom and top of the machine (hard to visualize but its great) but the clothes can get tangled- I avoid this by not over filling and NOT loading the clothes in a circle, I simply drop them in but the wrinkling is not bad at all- if you have more gentle items I would say put them in a washable laundry bag. The washer is wonderful and I was greatful for the free shipping, but the delivery was terrible. The delivery driver left the washer on the front porch, no signature , just left it. This was on a busy well-traveled road. A little common sense would have been nice.

This is designed poorly and will break as soon as it begins the wash cycle. The drum is suspended by 4 metal rods that SHOULD have been made to hook through the plastic pieces at the top of the machine. Instead, the entire weight of the drum (plus water and clothing) depends on these rods to hold it up and they are barely clinging to the edge of the plastic support pieces. It's like the difference between climbing and you have the choice of holding on with either your finger tips or wrapping your arm around a tree branch - what do you think is safer?! It blows my mind to think that there is such a SIMPLE solution - make the rods HOOK all the way through, not just balance on the edge! On a good note, the buttons and display were nice.

Overall I'm truly amazed how incredibly awesome this washer is. At first we had some issues with the delivery, came double boxed but when I opened the product it was damaged. Other than that it works great and cleans well. It's not noisy you can still watch t.v. I ordered the matching dryer and that's noisier. One thing I do recommend is for those of you who have to use a sink to connect your washer make sure you use the cold hose not the hot. If you use the hot hose it will not rinse since it needs cold water to rinse it pretty much won't work. But if you have both hot/cold connections on your wall then don't worry about it. Hope this helps.

This is the second one I ordered and both of them shut off without going through the spin cycle on every other load

My review is mixed. We ended up ordering two of these units to take to a seasonal place at the lake. Tested the first one and it would not drain. (We suspected that the huge styrofoam shipping cone in the bottom damaged the release valve, as the pump itself appeared to be working.) Called MC, explained problem, emailed required proof of purchase and never heard from them again. Returned unit to Best Buy within 15 return limit. Since most reviews everywhere are overwhelmingly favorable, we decided to chance another. Best Buy was AWESOME, with FAST shipping, customer service accepting our return (unboxed, no packing materials) w/o a problem, and trying to get us both service and order a replacement. Both attempts failed and we took a refund. A week later, the item was back in stock, and we took another chance. This one tested out fine, and is boxed up for late spring transportation. It appears to be a great little unit, and will do exactly what all the other favorable reviews indicate, but I sure hope that we don't ever have a problem.... NOT impressed with Magic Chef customer service, so far. Best Buy and the unit itself get 5 Stars, Magic Chef service gets 1 Star, or less.

Living in an apartment, it is a pain lugging laundry to the laundromat. This is a nice size for single person or a college student living out of the dorm. The only drawback is the washer needs rollers or wheels so it moves much easier. The machine can use some changes in the water and discharge hoses... Plus the hook up connectors.

Good little washer for small loads. Fits in my shop perfectly and does the job. I would recommend this product if your doing small loads only. I gave it a four star only because it came with a small dent in the side which more than likely happened during shipping.
