in my opinion, jay z's best album in a while. this album is solid, I really enjoy listening to it.

Jay-z did it again, another good album. His lyrics are on point.

Another hit album from Jay Z. I particularly like the "On the Run" track with Beyoncé. Really found the perfect balance of Hip Hop and R&B on this track. And, of course, "Holy Grail" with Justin Timberlake sets the tone, right off the top, for a good listen. There are a couple of tracks that aren't exactly my cup of tea, but still not terrible (Hence, the 4 stars rating). Overall, a good album.

This album has some strong points,, but overall pretty average. The best thing for Jay-Z right now is that he does not sound like anybody else, the bad thing is he doesn't really sound like his classic self. Sounds like he free-styled the whole album which gives him a kind of bounce-to-the-beat flow, but minimal depth. He's older now, & a lot richer, so he doesn't have many struggles or dream-like ambitions to talk about, which was what people love to listen to him talk about, because he makes you feel where he wants to be. There is none of that in this album. I know how deep he can get because I have everything dating back to Reasonable Doubt. Again, he doesn't sound like anybody else, which is refreshing, but he also doesn't really sound like much of himself. At the moment, I will classify him as the most clasic hip-hop sounding artist with minimal southern influence...real Jay-Z fans will feel me on this!

jay-z has created something different. people may say: "well this doesn't sound like jay-z". but artists grow, and so do there tastes. this album had different sounds, different view points and lyrics. jay-z has a lot to say, and he expressed it clear through this album!

Maybe I am just used to the other albums that have come out. This shows Jay-Z's creative side. As a fan of Jay-Z, I should have expected this album to come one day. I love the design and thought process put into the album cover art. I am waiting to see if this will ever be revealed on a future album.

After listening to the new Kanye cd and was ultimately disappointed I was glad to hear Hova to the rescue. Well balanced, from start to finish, it's been on repeat for a while.

This is an awesome CD and maybe the best I've purchased in a long time. It blows the new Kanye CD out of the water. Jay-Z is showing us that he still has the game on lock!!

I love Jay Z music have always supported his music and have never been disappointed and Magna Carter has definitely lived up to my standards of GREAT Hip Hop music

The beats and the lyrics are phenomen. Everything Jay Z does is GOLDEN. I would tell everybody to get this CD. It will be put in the history books.

Sick stuff from Timbaland, Pharrell, and Swizz Beatz on this! Quipptic, cryptic and superficial with the writing. Terrific featured artists.

Jay Z out done himself, with this one, the lyrics are awesome, you have some laid back music and head bopping whatever you prefer

The album has a few good tracks, but it is far from being Jay-Z best work. It seems to be a victim of the artist's own greatness. When you objectively compare all of his portfolio, it doesn't compete with Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint, or The Black Album which I consider to be his most pure/game changing works. So for all the fans of hip hop it is a definite pick up, but if you are looking for this to replace your favorite Jay-Z album you may be disappointed.
