I first watched Malignant on HBO Max. I have watched this movie 4 times now and I decided to get the physical DVD copy at Best Buy. There is no horror movie out today that is like Malignant. Horror movies of the past similar to it in my opinion would probably be the 1970’s movie ‘The Eyes of Laura Mars’, 1980’s movie ‘Basket Case’, 2000’s movies ‘Cursed’ and ‘Cabin In The Woods’. It taps into those genres and in return create its own “cult classic”. There are scary moments, puzzle solving, mystery, revelations, blood, action and even throwback to 80’s campiness; I never expected to laugh real hard at this movie. I do wish that I saw this movie in theaters; it would’ve been an amazing experience. Since I did not, I have referred multiple people to watch Malignant. They are glad that I recommended it. It’s really now a cult classic!

This movie had a twist that I did not see coming. Thus, one can imagine the utter mouth-open, mouth-on-the-floor moment when that twist is revealed. Highly recommended.

I've been a fan of horror cinema since I was a kid, and nowadays I don't see too many things that seem fresh or exciting, but MALIGNANT was all that. Scary, exciting, suspenseful, and with amazing and unexpected action. Also, well-written and acted characters that you actually care about and that do what real people would do in the crazy situations they find themselves in. The Blu-ray's sound and picture quality are excellent! The only downside is that Warner Brothers didn't include substantial extra features. There is a 14 minute BTS extra, and it's great, but this film deserves so much more. IMHO it's destined to be considered a new horror classic; I watched it twice in three days!

This movie was incredible until the "twist reveal" that was advertised nonstop. Not that the twist is bad, but once it comes, the film seems to switch genres. I still definitely recommend it! There are great scares and the plot is so good. James Wan is at the top of his game here!

I really enjoyed this movie, its my go to thiller!! Fulled with action, suspense that keeps you on edge!!

This is a horror gem. I do feel like I was bamboozled by it getting a late 4K limited release, but the Blu-ray will get me by until I upgrade. A slick looking and sounding film.

This movie shocked me with it's ingenuity and originality. The final twenty-five minutes of this film had me awestruck. Fantastic movie. I'm hoping for a sequel.

I love this movie! It is different - it is strange - it is original. A breath of fresh air compared to the bombardment of sequels and remakes we are getting. It felt like a loving homage to the classic haunted house story, mixed with the premise of a straight to video '80s horror film, the action of The Matrix, and the striking visual beauty of Italian filmmakers like Dario Argento. It is energetic and fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and we as audience members shouldn't either. Just strap yourself in and enjoy the ride.

If you love horror this movie is everything you want from a Campy horror flick. It worth picking up whenever.

Ok this movie was crazy when I saw it in theaters and of course I had to get it on bluray. My only complaint that their was no special edition steelbook for the movie and also that there was no 4K release but I've noticed that Warner Bros seems to not release certain movies in 4K that didn't do to well at the box office. Overall i really enjoyed this new take on psychological horror from James Wan

This horror movie is very unique and the story is good. Its very entertaining.

Malignant is an absolute wild ride! The cinematography and mood is excellent as should be expected from a James Wan film. The story twists and goes off the rails into something wholly unique! I loved the '90's vibe! Recommended!

Some may not find this movie as great as myself- going with 5stars, not entirely based on the film in, and of, itself, but because of how much it surprised me, in the best ways possible. From the previews, I expected one thing, (a more supernatural tale,) and instead got a film that would so neatly fit into the "Unbreakable-Verse" trilogy; an introduction to a new character that sets up almost perfectly into MNS's gritty, horrific "supers". On its own, Malignant still offers plenty of thrills and surprisingly, action (the police station scene is downright amazing, seeing this new "monster" chew thru an entire PD had me rewinding several times to see it played out repeatedly). Watched this out of boredom one evening and it ended up being a favorite of 2021. Beyond grateful I took a chance on this one!

It was a great horror movie. It keep at edge of your seat.

Really enjoyed this one. I didn't know much about it going in, and that is the best way to see this film. It starts out one way and then it goes off the rails towards the end in a good way.

Great, original horror/thriller. James Wan always makes a good movie and this did not disappoint and a crazy twist at the end.

Reminds me of the older horror style movies. A bit different but still enjoyable for what it is. Grab it on sale and enjoy it. Great camerawork and visuals.

Ver good suprising horror flick with great special effects and surprise ending which was totally unexpected!

At the beginning of the story I thought this was a standard ghost story and later on it hit you with a monster movie. This was great!
