This is a great CD. It has a lot of different kinds of songs which makes it appealing to different types of people. My personal favorite is track 5 which is "Mom". This is an emotion evoking song. I cry each time I hear it.

It's been such a long time since Garth released an album that I wondered what this release would be like. Would it be the Garth I remembered from way back when or would it be Garth 2.0 with a completely changed sound. Garth's longtime fans will be glad to know that this is pretty much the same old Garth we knew with a sound that hasn't really changed all that much from the songs he released from 1989 to 2001 and I think that's a good thing. Musically this is Garth Brook in his wheelhouse, there are rocking and over the top numbers like the title track, there are country barn burners like "Rodeo and Juliet," (which is a great song title) and there are tear-jerkers like "Mom," a song where an unborn baby talks to God about his fears of being born. Garth's voice may not be quite as good as it once was and it seems that it is buried in the mix here a little bit more than I'd like at times. Country songs, and especially Garth Brooks songs, are usually about the lyrics and sometimes they're a bit hard to make out here. Maybe I just need to play the tracks louder to get the effect Garth was looking for. With Taylor Swift leaving the country fold and heading to pop, this album is exactly what country music needed for a big old shot in the arm. It's Garth Brooks being Garth Brooks, which in my mind is better than anything I've heard released on country radio since he went into retirement to take care of his children. Overall I think this is a perfect re-introduction to Garth that his old-time fans will love and new fans will quickly get a sense of his music and the artist that he is. Knowing Garth the album slated for next year will be something totally different and that's ok by me. Welcome back, Garth! We've missed you.

I've seen him in at least three concerts live, another handful on cable, met him backstage twice and even sang "The Dance" with him. I have never seen him do a bad concert and from what I know of him he treats his fans like family. His CD's are treasures with songs that bury themselves into your soul. On this CD he goes from heart wrenching to off the chain! If you've never heard Garth before, after listening to this CD your collection will grow like weeds.

I was expecting there to be some experimentation, possibly even some of the "country rap" so popular recently. I was very pleased to hear NONE of that. Just good old Garth with his wonderful voice on some really good songs.

This is a long awaited cd by Garth Brooks. His first in many years. It definitely does not disappoint. So glad Garth is back on the road and recording again. He has been missed in the country music scene.

While it may not be like Garth from the 90's, it's still him. He's still got it. I have been eagerly and (im)patiently waiting new music from Garth Brooks for years. I was so excited to finally be able to get a new cd full of songs.

This new CD of GB's doesn't disappoint. He picked up right where he left off when he retired. I have played this CD over and over and thoroughly enjoy hearing his new music. I'm looking forward to any future music from him.

Garth is back and still has the "Right Stuff"! It's like he hasn't been gone at all. There should be at least 4 Top Ten's from this album. Definitely a KEEPER!!

what can I say about this cd other than it is typical garth brooks. if you loved his music then,then you will love his music now

back and forth...mostly good but wished it was a bit better, but its garth and ill continue to buy his stuff cause hes one of the only country stars worth paying for

I found the cd vintage and thoroughly enjoyed the entire cd. well worth the long long wait for his first cd in ages

Wow, it's been too long since we've had new music from Garth Brooks, and he does not disappoint with this new album! It's a must-have for any real Garth fan.

I was happy to hear some new mature music from Garth. He sounds good and like the music really means something to him. Looking forward to the next set.

My wife really likes her new CD. She says that 'Mom' is a great song. New Garth pretty much sums it up.

I like Garth Brooks music. My grandson was one of the stompers on one of the songs and his name is listed on the booklet that comes with the record.

Thank you garth you never let us down. This cd is just as good if not better than his last. If you are a garth fan this is a must have!!!

Boy have I missed Garth! His new album is good, not great in my opinion but I'm just glad he is back making new music. He was missed.

Give it a listen if you like Garth, I'm a big Garth brooks fan so I really enjoy it.

Not a big fan of country music but this has a couple of songs that are more like rock and roll. Love the music..very moving.
