I purchased this last minute when I decided to rent a canon 28-300mm lens to photograph a half marathon. I need something light and portable to be able to support the weight of the lens. Manfrotto has always been a great product for for their higher end tripods so I figured I would give this a try. It seems a little heavy for what it is. It doesn't seem like it's made to last. It worked well for what I needed and I guess time will only tell if it stands up to the abuse I put equipment through

Bought this for my wife whose arms were getting tired at the ballpark taking photos of the kids playing sports. It was exactly what she needed. She can move around easily and use it as a great sturdy platform to take great shots.

Purchased this monopod to take on a hiking trip. I attached a ball head to it, so it was somewhat heavier than if I had attached directly to the camera. However, it worked perfectly for my purposes.

This monopod is great for those instances when a tripod can be cumbersome, and not necessary.

After a little practice, it became easy to use. Also serves as a hand held shooting stabilizer at its shortest length. Just stick the bottom on your belt and shoot on the move.

This is a great monopod for the price. And of course, you can't go wrong with the Manfrotto name. It's very solid and stable and is a nice, small size when not extended.

This is a great little monopod.
It is light and compact.
The only item I would have liked is if the rubber foot would have converted to a more durable metal "spike" when used outdoors.

The only bad thing I can say about this monopod is that the base doesn't have a nice width, so if you can't balance without a rubber base or a wide "cup" style bottom, might want to move up in class. Otherwise, this is an excellent monopod, and I put my 50-500mm lens on it with ease and it held perfectly. Could double as a light walking stick.
