Customers are saying

Customers regard the 60" Tripod favorably for its ease of use, lightweight design, compact size, and affordable price. Many appreciate its quick release feature and portability, making it ideal for travel. However, some users express concerns about stability, particularly when fully extended, and find the ball head's performance and panning capabilities less than ideal. Improvements to the tripod's sturdiness and the smoothness of its panning mechanism are suggested by some users.

I wanted a good compact tripod. This one fits the bill. Compact, light, stable, perfect, Manfrotto.

    Excellant Tri-pod

This is an excellent tri-pod. It's sturdy and has many ways to adjust height. I can have any height I want. I love the joy stick on this tri-pod that lets me move the camera in many directions with speed. That is a big plus for catching unexpected shots and gives me a very good measure of control or my camera. The tri-pod holds the camera very nice and tight.

Fantastic in every way other than the pistol grip roller thing sometimes comes loose if it is carrying a heavy camera.

Got it for my ten year old daughter for Christmas. She loves it. It's easy to use since she could put the camera on by herself.

Not everything I had hopes of....

Ideal for smaller cameras but when it comes to some of the DSLR cameras the controls for this tripod can be hard to access. Also, the last segments of the legs are very thin and could easily be damaged. Not nearly as stable as I needed for my larger camera but as I said, it would be very usable for a smaller camera or point and shoot. The tripod is very small and easily packed for travel without having to worry too much about the weight of the tripod eating into your limited baggage weight when flying.

    Love the ball mount!

The best part is the ball mount that allows you to create a unique angled shot without having to handle the camera. The only issue i have is when the legs are fully extended the tripod can be unsteady and the upper height adjustment bar is very hard to move. I would rather have a slide and lock type there. But overall is a great tripod for the price.

I had a less expensive Manfrotto tripod with a ball head that could not hold the weight of the Canon 5D Mark III DSLR. That is not a problem for this Manfrotto model 60 that is also very compact. The locking mechanisms for the telescoping legs are very secure. There is also a threaded port for attachments and a bubble level. I have used this tripod for about 6 months and I have had no issues.
