Customers are saying

Customers regard the 60" Tripod favorably for its ease of use, lightweight design, compact size, and affordable price. Many appreciate its quick release feature and portability, making it ideal for travel. However, some users express concerns about stability, particularly when fully extended, and find the ball head's performance and panning capabilities less than ideal. Improvements to the tripod's sturdiness and the smoothness of its panning mechanism are suggested by some users.

The swivel on this thing is perfect for those that don't feel like dealing with the traditional separate pan and vertical adjustments. It's very easy to use and if you have your level mounted it's easy to get it perfectly straight. I find it to be simpler in design and usage. I can pan and tilt with one hand while using the other to work the shutter on the camera, using the tripod as a way to keep the shake out of my shots. Glad I gave it a try even though it was different than what I had been used to. It's compact and light, so it's easy to lug around.

I almost returned this to the store because of the weight limitations of only 3.3. lbs but decided since it was very compact and wasn't very expensive I would keep it. It doesn't take very long to get used to the controls. So far its a great tripod that is well built. I did buy a back up quick release because based on my past experience these can get lost or misplaced easily. Why wait to buy a back up or if using multiple cameras its easier to keep on bottom of camera for the day.

I travel to so many places with this tripod, Horseshoe Bend Antelope Canyon, Dearh Valley and it was good in all of them, never failed me, it's so small and perfect to travel with! It also has 90 degrees super easy to use.

Manfrotto is like industry standard when it comes to tripods so this product is built really well and works just as well for my needs, and the light weight is an added plus

The tripod is a good travel tripod. I like the head and the legs are easy to open and close. If I had one complaint it is the quick release plate which is great except if you lose it as they cost over $20 to replace - http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-Release-Compact-Action-Tripods/dp/B00VFFQOMC.

I purchased this tripod so I could photograph my own wedding. Yes I know crazy right?! But I set my camera up on this amazing tripod that has a ball head which I loved. It was easy to set up and I love the easy on off mount it has. I manually set my settings and focus and gave my remote trigger to my sister in law. It did the job and my images are amazing. It wouldn't have been possible on some other tripods because they can't handle the large camera bodies and zoom lenses such as the 70-200 on a 5d Mark iii. At least not in this price range. I would say it compares to the 200-300$ brands very well.

I bought this tripod for a recent trip to LA. It packs up small and was able to fit into my checked bag. I was a bit nervous about the weight limit using my Canon 7D and a 70-200 F2.8, but it did just fine. This tripod features an easy to use screw in piece that fits into the bottom of the camera which makes it easy to go from hand held to tripod. Highly recommend for an entry level tripod.

I received High Powered Binoculars as a gift from my Son-in-law/Realtor when we bought our condo. I got this tripod because the binoculars are heavy and needed support. The tripod does a great job and is easy to use. It has plenty of adjustability.

Decent tripod for my d7000. The ht is good and it comes with a pistol grip! However, the legs are a tad thin to my likin, and seem to be less sturdy for telephoto lens

Decided it was time to upgrade from the 20+ year old Vivitar tripod I've been using. First off, this thing is TINY when it's folded up. It stands at about 18 inches and is very light to carry around, the storage bag is also nice and is double-sided/padded, so it should last. Once fully extended, the entire thing reaches about 5 feet tall, roughly 4-5 inches shorter than my Vivitar and it's a full sized tripod. The quick release feels pretty solid, but I have to watch and make sure I don't bump the clip by accident and lose the camera, though it would take a good tug to open it. I like the shoe it comes with, just a simple "nut" that fits into the head of the tripod instead of a huge plastic base that might get in the way. I was able to secure another one for backup should anything happen to it. The head itself has a decent feeling movement, it's not jerky or stiff when the thumb wheel is opened all the way and there is an option on the side to allow the head to rotate on the Y-axis to level your camera (like if you're on a slight incline). The head can also be removed from the center on a short (roughly) 12in pole, I couldn't figure out why you would need this, then it dawned on me, you insert it the other way with the camera upside down, shorten the legs and you have a tripod for macros! It's not nearly as stable as some more expensive tripods, but for the price and size, once the legs are locked into place, the entire thing doesn't move at all. Other ones may have a stabilizer bar in the center of the legs that opens them all at once, this does not, but I don't miss it at all, a lot less weight. I'm using mine with a Canon SX40 and it doesn't feel too top heavy. I'm not sure if I'd want to try it with a high-end SLR with battery pack and long lens, but maybe it would be ok.

I was a little skeptical on the quality I'd get for this price range but I've been more than pleased! Solid tripod that's easy to setup and light, has just the right height options too. The head/grip is what really impressed me, works so fluidly for quick changes and adjustments. I use this a lot for nature photography and it's great to be able to quickly and effortlessly move the camera and secure it with just a little movement. I've used this with a full size dslr with fully extended 300mm lens + teleconverter as well as with an a6000, no issues using either.

I bought this on sale for $59. That is a great price for such a nice tripod. This is an excellent brand and at this price point you can't go wrong. For the casual user who might use a tripod a couple of times a month, this is perfect. Lightweight, a nice case, sturdy with an amazingly ease of use and set up. I highly recommend it for the weekend warrior.

Great tripod, love the grip with the wheel for locking. feels good and solid throughout, easy use, and not super heavy. For me overall i love the quick release that it comes with. and its all around a pretty rugid little guy. the only issues i had were wishing it had a level on it, and also it make looking through your viewfinder Ex:film cameras without LCDs. very awkward, but thats just a minor annoyance. all together i got what i wanted and i am glad i bought it. its a great product and would recommend it

The legs are very thin on this. I only bought it because I needed something fast and there weren't any better options. It does ok holding my D5300 but I have to be careful what lens I put on with the D7000. It's lightweight which is a good thing. I do like the grip and QR I suppose but I find once you lock it the head tends to move a bit. I'm much more a fan of the Arca style and this tripod will soon be relegated to the junk drawer. Overall if you've got a small bodied camera and don't need a lot of super stability it's a decent tripod. I wouldn't put a 70-200 on it.

This tripod is awesome. It's all that you would expect from the monster that is Manfrotto.. The attention to the detail is what sets them apart.. I particularly like the ball that the tripod hand is attached to and the round trigger dial that loosens or tightens it in place...It's very compact but extends out tall enough for shooting portraits or landscapes.. The only thing I did not like is that it was too tall to fit into my Manfrotto Veloce V backpack without being taken apart. The good thing is that it's just a one step process to take out the middle piece of the tripod and place it next to the legs in the bag.
