Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the 65" Compact Advanced Tripod's sturdiness, light weight, compact size, and value for the price. Many appreciate its stability and ease of transport. However, some customers expressed concerns regarding the placement and functionality of the handles, and the lack of a built-in level. Overall, the positive feedback outweighs the negative.

I would certainly recommend purchasing this as a first tripod, or something you're going to probably grow out of. I took and tested this tripod about 3 different times at Nisqually during their slow times where no one was on their boardwalks, and it's still very shaky. Mainly because when extended all the way, the legs feel very flimsy. I shortened them up to extend only the two legs, which fixed most of the issues, but it's a very large inconvenience considering this is a taller tripod made for taller people. Obviously this is great value, but definitely not for heavier lenses, or for "more than starter" usages.

This is a lightweight tripod that's ideal for use with my canon digital SX60 HS camera. It's easy to carry with you, yet stable. I only wish it had a level. Stil a great tripod.

This tripod is well constructed and stable when I attach my camera. We had purchased an other tripod that was more compact and lighter, however, without weighting it down, it was very tippy. As a result, we wanted something that seemed sturdier. The legs open up with ease and it is very easy to adjust the height.

I was unsure of which tripod to buy as I have bought two in the last 5 years. Both had small parts that broke that made them unusable. Manfrotto has a solid tripod with solid parts. It is easy to work with and good stability. It handles both my Nikon SLR and smaller point and shoot. Worth the little extra money it costs. Should last a long time.

I am an avid, albeit amateur, photographer. I wanted a full size tripod that was versatile yet light weight. I love the fact that this one folds down to an easy-to-carry size yet has sufficient features to allow me flexibility to position my camera however I need to in order to get the shot I want.

Bought as a replacement to a Sunpak I had for years; great tripod for the price. Easy to use and smooth action; I video a lot of action sports (soccer, track) that require a smooth pan, this delivers.

    Go-To Tripod

This light weight tripod is my current "go-to" tripod among my arsenal. It is not as heavy as others that I carry, but it is sturdy enough for my GoPro Sessions and Canon handheld camcorder. I have not used this tripod for any of my DSLs because I don't trust that it will keep it secure. Overall, I give this product a 4 for decent marksmanship. The two handles for adjusting the camera are interesting. They have a tendency to get jammed together and the awkward positions make using the tripod a bit tedious, sometimes.

This tripod gets the job done. After buying 2 cheaper models that both broke after 6 months of use, I decided to spend a little more and get this one. It has worked just fine and looks and feels more sturdy than the previous ones I have purchased.

I used this tripod for the first time last week to take portraits at a banquet. It is made of good quality and worked flawlessly. My only suggestion is that it would have a "bubble" level to help me keep the camera level. LOVE the carrying case that comes with it!!!

I bought this tripod after TSA broke my travel tripod and was pleasantly surprised to see it on sale at best buy. I purchased it and took it on a shoot later that night. It performs well and the compact nature of it makes for a good companion on hikes and perusing about the city streets. It was steady and allowed me to take crisp long exposures even without a hook to hang a weight from.

I bought this to go hiking. It worked very well except one of the knobs kept getting loose. You have to keep an eye on it and make sure they are tight. It was sturdy and steady at top of hike with my DSLR.

Needed tripod in rush to prepare for the 4th of July fireworks and just grabbed this one from bestbuy in my neighborhood. Luckily it provides stable mounting for my relatively heavy camera+lens(Nikon D7000+70-200 VR). Love it!

I didn't think this tripod would hold my equipment, but it did. It actually holds my 300mm lens as well as my speedlight. It's a Manfrotto, what else can you ask for?
