Quick release plates save a lot of time in the field - I have been using Manfrotto 200 PL quick release plates for 10 years and leave one permanently attached to each of my DSLR bodies, on my heavier lenses such as the Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VRii, and even flash units & remote synch cords. In the past I used this accessory with a number of light Manfrotto tripods with pan & tilt heads; recently I coupled a new heavy duty Manfrotto MG ball head with my old 12 lb. studio tripod that uses the same 200 PL. Best Buy has this accessory in stock and for the best price.

It's exactly what comes with the tripod.

If your'e reading this, then you've either lost the plate, or like the brilliant me, anticipating losing the plate, thus making your tripod useless. It's exactly the same one that comes when you buy the Manfrotto.

I have a Canon AX30 video camera, Canon T6i DSLR and Canon M50 that I trade off on my main Manfrotto tripod and Manfrotto fluid video head mounted on top of a Sirui monopod. Having a third quick mount between the three cameras and two supports is far better than fumbling for a coin to unscrew a camera from the mount. The extra length of the Manfrotto quick mounts help to balance the larger video camera and two DSLRs especially when I'm using one of them with a lengthy zoom lens.

This is better than the original Mannfroto plate that came with my tripod. Original had cork top that slipped under camera weight. This one is nonslip rubber.

This Manfrotto quick release place works well with Manfrotto ballheads requiring 200-PL plate. Purchased 1 and came back for a second. Ended up buying, not 1 but two on the second trip for a total of three.

Purchased an extra quick release plate to attach to a very heavy lens while I used the one that came with tripod to attach to my camera body. This saves me from constantly changing the quick release plate back and forth to shoot with my bigger lens.

I bought this as a spare to anchor another strap. I like how rugged and sturdy it looks and feels, specially the piece of mind that it'll come loose and send my camera won't go flying. Manfrotto keeps in the tradition of quality products.

Identical item to the piece coming with original Manfrotto ballhead. No movement once installed, unlike some cheaper 3rd party replacement parts.

We have the Manfrotto MA680B with the Manfrotto MA322RC2 head and a Nikon D5200. This worked great. And with price matching, I always get the best price.
