This receiver has all of the bells and whistles that anyone needs. Most important though is the sound, which is superb. The room correction worked in my odd shaped room and made a tremoundous difference in the center channel dialog. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone, buy it if you want great sound, clean power and all the extras. It is a fantastic piece of equipment.

I was skeptical that any receiver could really be worth this kind of price tag but I am now a believer and wish I would have purchased it sooner. The Magnolia rep was spot on with his recommendations -- thank you Robert!! I have been a long term Onkyo and Denon fan, but this receiver is in a whole league of its own. If you make the jump, you will never look back. I found this receiver very easy to set up and program, including with the Harmony Elite remote (even as a female). I do, however, recommend setting it up manually vs. just relying upon the Audessy mic especially if you have your system in a open room layout. That way you can set up the system the way you personally like it (primary use: to watch movies/tv and stream music from phone).

Easy to hook up, Audussey does most of the hard work. Back is so crowded, you really need banana plugs to avoid arcing though, small nit pick. Lots of options, no HDMI issues for 4K. Sound is rich and full. Remote is a bit confusing, but I really only use that to turn it off/on. My only other small complaint is I miss having the quick select buttons on the front that were so convenient on my Denon to switch between inputs, the dial is not as easy, but it's certainly not hard by any means. Enjoying it, has been reliable, no malfunctions.

I had a Denon receiver. It was the bottom one though. I have cm9s as my front speakers and Bowers all around. This receiver is great! It sounds so much better then the bottom Denon. It really brings my speakers to life. Anyone that tell you wattage doesn't matter is lying. Something sounds better the higher up the tier you go with AVRs that's all I know! It's 9.2 which is great! It can power two additional zones. Auddesey 32x which is the top tier room calibration software. It sounds great!

I went to BestBuy to pick me up a MartinLogan Center Speaker and walked out with a MartinLogan Center, Left, Right Book shelf speaker and this amazing AV system. Added a Klipsch R-12SW 12" subwoofer and the movie theater come home with me. I am running 9.1, it is simply stunning. Looking for a negative and can not find one. If it is not the best, it is certainly one of the best. Highly recommend it.

It's only been a month, but so far so good. No issues. Set up was easy. 4K pass thru is a nice feature. I can view my security cameras with the receiver off. I still need some time to figure out all the features, but it's been easy so far.

Couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Lots of features and outstanding sound. Surprised my husband with this Receiver and he hasn’t stopped bragging about to our sons and friends.
We’re using old speakers and still the sound is great, very crisp. You won’t be disappointed.

I never owned 7010 to compare, but have 10year old Sony still rocking, comparatively it is day and night difference. Raw without calibration sounds good too, but XT32 may have done some difference (ran it 3 times). Either way sound is fantastic especially DOLBY SURROUND mode. It even takes 2 channels and converts to SURROUND. ATMOS encoded Blu-Rays sound really great just set it up to pure direct mode to enjoy all sound effects!! For non-atmos I leave it on Dolby Surround but DTS 7.1 listen with pure direct (I recommend for all HD/master audio). HD radio is clear too. MDAX feature is excellent and have magnificent sound, playing music files from NAS on WiFi using Heos app (good for music only). I have 11.2 setup with 120" screen, Martin Logan speakers, Epson 3700 PJ and I am lovin it!!!

With this receiver I have been having a positive surprise after another. First of all, the sound is REALLY first class. Natural, crystal clear, powerful. Deep bass that I had never heard with my Def Tech tower speakers before. Then, I started realizing how intuitive and easy is to set it up and use, particularly with the iPhone app. A winner!!!

Perfect built, easy to install and calibrate, and most important, impresive sound procesor. Higly recomended. THe only point to impove is another way of attach speakers cables, diferent from the classic and awful one.

I have this connected and operating. It works well, and sounds great. Picture quality on TV is excellent. It's very difficult to set up with all of the features and options that it has. I tried for 1 hour or more to get it to connect with my Comcast Xfinity X1 box, and so far, no success.
One feature it seems to lack - an input port to connect my cable from a cell phone (to listen to music). The phone is now connected by Bluetooth, but sometimes it's simpler to just plug it in mechanically.
Plan on taking a long time to discover all the features and learn how to use this receiver.

Great A/V receiver with all the functionality I will ever need. Good price point makes the Yamaha a value to purchase as well. I just had to try two of them because the first one had no output for the Subs. My Geek Squad contact was great through the whole process and I'm glad he was involved with the installation.

I brought this AVR to replace an older Marantz 7009 that had materially under performed. I have been using this AVR for a little over three months and I give it overall high grades regarding quality, sound and power. Learning how to properly configure multiple sources can be a very time consuming process, because each device will require individual some specific tweaking. Warning the AVR does generate a lot of heat so do not place in an enclosed cabinet. Currently I have configured a 5.2.2 environment with powered second zone. And I have to tell you adding the height channels brings you into a new great world even if you are not using dolby atmos.
