I had an old Pioneer amplifier processing the sound for my surround sound system. It was so old that it did not have HDMI inputs and outputs. Hooking up this AVR reduced the clutter of wires in my system. The combination of this AVR and my new Sony OLED created a system that turns all devices on with one press of a button on my remote and turns off the same way. The sound profiles that this powerful AVR can process covers the whole spectrum up to Dolby Atmo. The sound is excellent and the discrete 125 watt per channes amplifiers for each channel drive my large sound system easily.

Marantz has lived up to their reputation as one of the premier audio component manufacturers. Produces excellent sound and video processing. Easy to setup. Have owned this receiver for approximately one month and have been very happy with its performance. Remote control is sometimes quirky with a slow response time, but not enough to detract from overall excellent receiver performance.

I upgraded my receiver from a Harman Kardon receiver, which is now 11 years old. My older receiver was great but it did not have the features such as HDMI inputs, wireless network capabilities. I was initially nervous to spend over 2 grand on a receiver but I am glad I did. I am now able to listen to online radio, internet radio, watch high-quality videos on 4K, and listen to an incredible quality of audio on my B&W speakers. Plus multi-zone capabilities allow me to listen to audio in my backyard in the evening when kids are watching the movies. The Audessey setup calibrated all my speakers perfectly and the subwoofer now sounds incredible.

Bought this open box and to replace an Onkyo TX806. This receiver is a beast as far as power. Setting up for 9.2 capabilities was a breeze. Very easy to navigate and sound quality is clean,robust and accurate.

Nice upgrade from an Pioneer Elite SC67 that died. Marantz brings a lot to the game and has a very easy setup and navigation through their system.

Great sound and features. The setup assistant is wonderful. Lots of adjustability for those that like to tailor the sound to their own taste.

All around great reciever with plenty of options. Very happy with the fidelity and ease of use.

This model of Marantz receivers is truly one of there best, for the price, and features every thing was just right, it's display was one of the best, the way it seamlessly works with my iPhone is amazing, it has connections that accommodate every thing I have to connect to it, and the way it works and interacts with my Sony TV is flawless, while we looked at all other receivers, this one was the perfect, tie it all together, Co-Flagship to our home theater. It takes a little tweaking and setting up, but well worth it, there are plenty of lower models out there. Don't go common, go for the best you can, and have the best experience.

Love the sound of the AB amplification. I’m using the top of the line Panamax power management to clean up any electrical noise and then the flagship 700 series B&W 5.1 with Panasonic UBP 9000 4k Blu Ray Player. Absolutely amazing!

love this piece. have had upper end systems for years. traded up fr 7.2 receiver for Atmos and love this...really do think the Marantz has a warmer, richer sound than my prior Yamaha...quite pleasantly surprised by this!

I have had a few other receivers but Marantz I always came back to Marantz because I like that it sounds great when listening to music and movies.
