Noticed no improvement of performance or sound quality over the previous model even though it was supposed to have 15 more W per channel 9 channels Last year's model lost the output card at 14 months aboard a lot of marantz's 1st time I've ever had receiver go out let alone 14 months

Well I had decided to finally add a set of Martin Logan 60’s to my 7.1 in wall surround sound system! But I would have to disconnect my front speakers.....which started me looking at this 11.2 Marantz. They were clearing out last years model at 899.00.... couldn’t find one ANYWHERE! Found one on the floor room at Orland and they gave it to me for 750.00! Couldn’t pass up that deal. I do love this receiver with the Martin Logan 60’s in my 11.2 system with my 60” Pioneer Kuro! This is a dream system that I’d never thought I’d own. It’s also very sexy looking and easy to use! Plenty of power; it’s all and more then the reviews!

    GREAT HOME THEATER RECIEVER

First off I want to thank all the great associates at Bestbuy Magnolia at Lincoln Center in Manhattan. There customer service by far is the best. Thank you Juan for convincing me to pull the plug on this Marantz sr 6013. No regrets at all. I had a Marantz AV7702 but it didn't do full 4K. I plan on upgrading to a 4K projector so I needed a true 4K receiver. I use 3 Emotiva Mono blocks to power my fronts and center channel since this receiver has pre outs. No issues at all. No issues with ARC at all. No issues switching to the different inputs. I have a oppo udp203, xbox one s, ps4, nvidea shield and an old toshiba hd dvd player connected to it. Yeah I still have hd dvds. The sound is amazing. The set up is easy, it just takes some time. I'm currently running a 7.2 set up. I plan on eventually running 7.1.4 with my external amps. If your thinking about buying this receiver, don't think about it anymore. Just make the purchase. You wont regret it

Cleanest sounding of the 1400 receivers

I replaced my pioneer lx 503 with this receiver. The reason being I wanted more power and better room correction. I'm happy i did, because even before I even did room correction the sound was cleaner and there was much more detail. I run a 7.2.4 system with definitive in walls and psb front and series. Awesome sound if you like detail in your movies

    Quality AVR

I has a Pioneer SC-91, which I liked, but the video output went out on it. I heard good Things about Marantz, so I decided to try this one out. It gives a much better soundstage, by that I mean more separation between channels. I'm running a 7.2 with Klipsch speakers and , a Klipsch rsw112 and an SVS pb12NSB for the bottom end. the controls are a little less intuitive , as far as setting go, and you can't add any other devices to the remote. there is an app you can do settings from your phone on, it's great, but sometimes loses the AVr and your have to unplug your amp to find it again. The video coding looks much better than the Pioneer also. Your Tv will look better. Great sound, great picture, overall a great AVR.

    Mostly works

When it works, it sounds great. I can’t get the ARC to work. I have tried multiple TVs and HDMI cables. Marantz support blames the TVs (both are new and different types). My option according to Marantz is to mail off my AVR and go without for a month, or buy a Roku and not use smart TV apps. I bought a smart TV for a reason. Telling me to buy something else is bad service.

Worked fine until the transformer fried :-(

It worked fine until it didn’t. Just a little after 3 years the transformer seems to be fried. Marantz customer service wants it to be shipped for service. Shipping, parts & service are NOT covered, because it’s past the 3 year warranty. My Pioneer receiver is over 10 years old and still works great.

I loved the sound. However, after 2 years of ownership, I heard a sudden “blow” off of it, then stopped working! Wish I purchased the warranty!
