I picked up this awesome unit for $600 off! What a deal!

This receiver is the perfect start to a surround sound setup.

Connecting is straight forward and the setup is intuitive

I was upgrading my previous Marantz AVR to get 4K capabilities and turns out two of the HDMI out ports were not working. Took a day plus a call to Marantz Tech support to tell me to take it back to Best Buy. Nothing else Marantz could do. Best Buy gladly took it back but they had no more of this model so I went with Denon.

If you have a bigger system with large speakers this guy sucks! Would probably work great on small compact speakers.

I love this receiver. It has gave my speakers a better sound. I got polk speakers rti 12 for fronts and tsi for center and surround a 5.2 system planning on a 5.2.4 but haven't had the time to set it up. The marantz have made my subwoofer sound more punchier than before. Music and movies sound amazing. Easy to set up but what i notice is that if you use the marantz app and you tweak the subwoofer in audio options not in the channel level you will get more bass response. It doesn't have a bass and treble adjustment I think you need the app that marantz sales for that which it suck but other than that it's awesome, really enjoying it.

If you were able to grab this guy when it was clearance out then you got a steal. for 899.99 its high quality amp with numerous features. if you don't have the speakers to match then you will never experience the quality this amp can produce. I replaced an avr-2806 and i love the features. if you didnt read the manual i would recommend giving it a page turn to understand all that you're missing

The SR6012 is great for 2 channel music and movies in for 4K with Atmos and has plenty of power.The Audyssey app works fine to make some changes but could use some improvements. I also use the Marantz app for volume and input switching instead of the Marantz remote .
