    Except for being 9.2 channel no clear advantage. Whether it’s looks or performance. Remote control is the worst I have ever seen. Way too much hype, No need to spend unless 9.2 is the requirement. And subpar customer service.

    This review is based on the fact that Marantz shipped a faulty product. I upgraded from the 6013. I wanted to be prepared for when the Xbox series X was released. Apparently there’s a chip issue that prevents 4K/120htz. Until they fix the issue ( which no one can tell you anything about) the unit deserves one star. The sound is amazing if you have great speakers. All other options work as advertised. My question is will they do a recall or a software update and when?

    ITS OK. THE SET UP AT FIRST APPEARED RELATIVELY EASY BUT TRY USING IT WITH A NEW TV AND THEY OUTSMART ONE ANOTHER. ITS A CHALLENGE TO GET THE RIGHT AUDIO/VIDEO DEVICE TO PLAY. I JUST WANT TOT TURN THE TV ON. N TAKES THREE REMOTES AND MULTIPLE ON/OFFS

      We're very sorry for the poor experience. It sounds like you're having trouble with the TV's EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) negotiating well with the sources when an HDMI repeating device (AVR) is in the middle. This is a fairly common HDMI communication issue within the industry. An EDID management device may solve this. marantz

    This is the worst system I've ever had. So many problems with it. 1st the ATMOS would not work, it kept blowing out the system during set up. Had professional installers come out to fix and couldn't, was a flaw in the system. Returned it for new one. Problems with that one too.

    Best Buy protection only would replace my defective item with this unit because of inflation... so disappointing!

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have purchased 2 SR6015 and 2 SR7015. None of them work as advertised. The 120hz 4K passthrough does not work and the adaptor they sent out is junk. After sending in one to the repair facility, communication was almost non existent and now they are sending it back without repair. These things did not work properly from the moment of purchase and Marantz has done nothing to alleviate the problem. If I could change the review rating on the SR 7015 I would. If I can sell these I will be going with Anthem or Paradigm.

    Advertised as 8k/60hz - 4k/120hz, as most 2020 AVR's were. This hardware does not support this and does not work as advertised.

    This is not a 2k dollar avr. I was shocked at how poor the menus and the apps were for this. HEOS is not user friendly and does not work properly and the avr app is a joke. After using this amp for a couple of days I missd my much cheaper Sony which sounded comparable. The Maranatz had better bass and some better hieght features but not 1800 dollars bette. There are much better products. I just purchsed a new Pioneer wirh Dirac for almost 1000 dollsrs less that is a much netter product.

    I've had this receiver for four years. They have no repair facilities. There is no customer support except local repair people. The unit has great sound but over heats and repairs are VERY expensive and do not last. I am throwing mine in the trash after only four years of use.
