Did a LOT of research and I am very happy with this receiver as my hub for my home theater. Had a 17 year old THX certified Integra receiver that served me well, but did not have any HDMI inputs for switching and did not have the latest surround sound formats. ATMOS was a serious upgrade and I was able to install 4 ceiling speakers to complete my 5.1.4 system. The sound is truly amazing and creates an enveloping experience. Included room calibration took some time, but rewards with a well balanced result. Marantz receivers produce a warm and “musical” sound that makes me very happy with this purchase. Price was a concern, but I wanted the extra power to drive all 9 channels effortlessly with room to spare. After many movies I can say that -10 dB to reference is a very engaging level and action scenes and explosions are very realistic. The video upscaling to 4K for all input sources is very well done and Dolby Vision and HDR10+ are fully supported and looks fantastic. It is also “future proof” as it will upscale to 8K when the market moves that way. This receiver should definitely be on a short list for doing everything very well to excellent.

Sounds good so far. Wish it came with a written manual instead of electronic. 300 page manual is difficult to absorb. Picture quality is great, HDMI challenges with e/ARC. Recommend turning it off so that all video and audio out goes thru receiver. Bypass TV and other sources. Still trying to get audio to work from tv in a 2nd room. Like I said, a lot of technological challenges and on-screen set-up is not as helpful as a written manual.. Response from Marantz is "not happening" during the pandemic.

If you're looking for a quality AVR, with plenty of power, look no further. Marantz is and has been a high end product. Works great. Looks great too.

I love home theater. My main HT room sports for audio a Marantz pre-pro 7702 mk2 and an Outlaw Audio 7900. Dual SVS 12" PB12-Plus Subwoofers. Mirage HDT Home-Theater Speaker System with 2 additional surrounds. I have loved the sound of my Marantz pre-pro for all HT experiences there, from 4k streaming to the Oppo UDP-203 BD player. That is why this review is so sad for me to write. In our bedroom we have a 65" 4k Sony 90J smart TV. Speaker system is a DefTech ProCinema 800 with 2 extra surrounds and an additional DefTech matching sub. Had used a Pioneer L105 and last year replaced that with a Sony STR-DN1080 receiver. I was frankly very impressed with all aspects of the Sony receiver and was frankly surprised at its performance. Well, an HDMI port (the eARC channel no less) developed issues in that it would not pass through streaming audio from the TV to the receiver. It was the receiver as tested with another older receiver. Sony was great and it is being repaired now. But I got the envies for a better experience for the bedroom HT so I went out and bought this Marantz SR7015. I was frankly really excited about setting this thing up and experiencing Valhalla in the lesser HT room. Long story short ... incredibly disappointed with the performance of this receiver. Ran the Audessey setup multiple times. Tried to then do the settlings manually. Admittedly clear dialog, but the sound was actually somewhat anemic. Surround effects not impressive at all and seemed to muddle through the surrounds as opposed to establishing a clear surround field. Experimented with it for 2 days and finally could not justify the tremendous cost outlay for the return I was getting. Again, I love my Marantz pre-pro in the main room, but as much as I wanted to like this unit I simply could not. The much less expensive Sony receiver was louder, punchier, more accurate and just a more fun experience to me. We brought it back today. Much of HT audio is subjective and this experience certainly qualifies as that. But I have to say that while it may fit the bill for many, I did later see similar experiences on web reviews for this unit. I hope if you buy it you will love it. But for me, it just was not in the cards.

Bought and installed about 6 weeks ago, and have been very happy with it. Access to all the setting via the phone was very helpful. I had a short on one of the speaker wires, and it warned me, then shut down, (rather than ruin itself), and that was very appreciated. And of course, the sound is great!

Wow I love this receiver! It has plenty of power and has great sound. Here's hopi g it lasts longer than my Denon which only mad it 6 years. My Harman Kardon has been going strong for 10 years

Great receiver that supports hdmi 2.1 Works well with setup and really pushes my B&W's.

So gald I upgraded to this AVR, I had the SR7011 I get all the same features plus 8K 60 and 4K 120 support for my PS5. The sound stage (after running the calibration) was way wider and I can hear more detale fron my speaters.

I just purchased this Marantz sr7015 replacing and old pioneer receiver and man the things I been missing...this receiver is a thing of beauty and sounds so great...I am very happy and so glad I purchased this item..I highly recommend this Marantz sr7015 to anyone...

Excellent quality , looks good , has great power.. however the mobile app is not very user friendly .. Yamaha mobile app is much better. The ease of use overall also lacks

This is a serious upgrade to my Sony 1040 av receiver. This receiver has great power with little to no distortion. I always wanted a Marantz receiver but never could afford one until now. Very happy with it.

This should be a 5 star receiver but it does not work as advertised. There is a problem with the HDMI 2.1 that prevents it from working properly. If you are looking to upgrade for this purpose DO NOT DO IT! They offer a hdmi hub for free but even that has issues. If you couldn’t care less about that, this thing is beautiful. The sound quality is amazing and it is easy to setup and use. I would recommend it for music and movie lovers.

This is a replacement for a 5 year old version of the same platform. It served us very well until one of the HDMI channels failed. Fantastic sound quality and picture quality.

Coming from an entry-level Yamaha AVR, this machine is a game changer! Makes movie watching so much more enjoyable. Music (vinyl) sounds really great as well.

Great receiver, upgrade from a Denon. I enjoy using it for my movies as well as music. I paired this receiver with Def Tech speakers.
