    BEST JACK OF ALL TRADES

The ML 5909 is absolutely fantastic. I've been able to test them against a number of wireless headphones and overall they take the cake. Do they have the strongest ANC or call quality? They're really good but that belongs to the Sony Wh-1000XM5. The best transparency? Well that's the Airpods Max. Most comfortable? I'd probably give that to the Focal Bathys but the 5909 are pretty close. Sound quality though? Well that's the 5909 as it just sounds soo good. Wirelessly it picks up more nuances, has clearer treble, and has a cleaner bass than any of the other wireless options I've tried all while still sounding fun. The icing on the cake is that for as good as it sounds wireless it sounds even better wired and depending on the source it's run from the audio only keeps improving. Add all that to its unboxing, the case, the accessories and the build quality, then the $1000 price tag starts to look VERY reasonable. The only other 2 headphones I can say offer it serious competition are the Dali io-12 and T+A Solitaire T... but those two are also $300-$600 more than the 5909 and I'm not so sure that they actually are the better sets. All in all I love my ML 5909 and I'm pretty sure anyone who hears them will say the same.

Great headphones at a premium price (Pearl Black)

Great headphones, clear sound. The headphones are comfy without feeling too heavy and the sound is pretty sharp. The travel case and the wires are great in case I didn't want to use it wireless, I can use it wired. $1000 price tag is awfully high, but this company has a reputation of putting out exceptional products. It all comes down to what you are using it for. Would I use it at the gym? Probably not, that's what I use my Beats Studio Pro for. As for regular use and or travel or home use that is a must!

Excellent sound quality, slightly better then H95, but it depends on the price you get both at. Has reasonably wider sound stage, with a bit less bass response even if EQed. Has a hiss though when not playing music, which doesn't affect me since I really only use it while listening but may be an issue for some.

IMO the Mark Levinson 5909s sound great! I can hear subtle, positive differences between these and my Sony WH-1000XM5. However, these headphones also: -Have LDAC which I can't readily use with my Mac or iPhone (not the fault of the headphones) -Start to physically hurt my head/ears quickly due to their fit (When I switch back to the Sonys it’s like moving to a comfortable pillow) Charge to 100% but drop to 84% after just a few minutes of use, and then seem to drain normally -Randomly pause the music if I move my head with on-head detection on -Rarely pause the music if I take them off with on-head detection on -Seem to have a lower volume than expected; I can comfortably turn my Mac or iPhone volume all the way up without the music becoming too loud -Turn off noise-cancelling when on calls for no discernable reason -Have an app that is very limited and really kinda terrible (at least coming off of the more full-featured Sony app) - hasn't been updated in over 2 years -Have NO app support for PC or Mac - you can't use the eq, on-head detection, or auto-off without using the phone app So at $600-700 more than the Sonys, is the subtle sound improvement worth it? I’m still well within the return period, so I’ll give them more time.

I had a lot of different headphones, both expensive and not so expensive. I can say one thing: there are the best and they will be with me for a very long time

It is a nice headphone, but with some plastic parts, it is not 100% luxury.

Got multiple headphones, wireless and none wireless. I got the Apple airpods max, I also got truly wireless earbuds. Took the jump to this ones, cause I am moving away from wired headphones, I know thats not really audiophile like but, I am at the point of I want fun to my music not critical bs that goes on. This Headphones are no joke, they sound amazing, way better than the airpods Max, and when wired they sound even better. The fact that they cover every single codec that can do at least CD quality is amazing. It is just hard to describe, you just want to keep listening to them.

I purchased these several weeks ago from Upscale Audio and in brief, they sound every bit as good as they look and then some. The sound quality is unmatched in any Bluetooth headphone I have ever heard. In wired mode, they are even better.
