In 10 seconds you'll know why you should buy Marshall's and not Beats. If you want quality sound, go with Marshall's, if you want name brand...

Bought these and they sound about 1/2 as good as the Klipsch ones. I returned them and just bought a second pair of the Klipsch buds. Very disappointed that they stamped the name Marshall on these. Poor response, the frequency range is super disappointing and they don't even come with a case or anything to protect them. There is absolutely zero clarity in these compared to the Klipsch. I use all Marshall cabs and amplification so I am really biased to Marshall products, otherwise I probably wouldn't have even given it one star.

So I had the 'Marshall Mode' headphones and they broke. The left earbud went bad. I had the protection plan and it covered me getting a replacement pair. Upon doing so I decided to upgrade to the EQ version and pay the difference due to a sale price. Boy was it worth it!. The whole EQ really does help with either giving you a better bass response or better treble at a flick of a switch. The build quality is next to none. The cord, mic placement, L shaped reinforced jack, the angled earpieces are all great. The jack is reinforced with metal so no bending or in line breakage which is a issue with most headphones. I listen to mostly rock/metal/heavy metal/ classic rock... so Marshall just seemed to be the perfect choice. It has plenty of bass and good clean mids/treble. One does not dominate the other. I cant stress enough that you make sure you use the right size earbud. Use the wrong size and you lose the bass, you lose the noise isolation, you lose the clarity and performance you're paying for and might as well get a cheaper lesser performing pair. I tried the ones on it at first but had too much background noise polluting my ear canals and lower bass (size M by default). I changed to the L size and BAM! the quality and sound improved ten fold. Yeah they are pricey, yeah they are sealed inside so you can't really look at them...but trust me, it's worth it. It works with Android and Apple (maybe even Blackberry???) It has 1 button inline and its a single or multi click system to control the music on the device or Spotify. Most people run to Bose or BEATS to have the more trendy brand name....don't...If you really care about audio then do yourself a favour and check these out. Better build AND sound quality. I've tried Skullcandy Titans and the 50/50 version, Bose mIE2, UrBeats (SIMILAR PRICES) and these are number #1, followed by Skullcandy Titans #2 . Beats/Bose you're paying for the name. The build quality is horrible and sound performance is average. On a side note I strongly recommend getting the protection plan. It covers normal wear and tear and accidental damage. I've purchased it on all my headphones and its paid off every time. Take them in and easily change them when they break with no issue. Now you may think I'm aggressive and mistreat my headphones, nope...I just have rotten luck. No kids or animals damage them...they just break...thinks its because I sit on them in my back pocket o.O The store I shop at takes care of fulfilling the plans and making it painless. Plans pay off, you may not think its worth it but when something happens its simple/easy to get replaced and back up and running.

    Crisp Sound Quality

I tested this next to my last set, the Sony XBA50's. Test tracks were Shed So Many Tears by Tupac, Love Me Harder by Arianna Grande, Billie Jean by MJ, Rocket Queen by GNR, Look After You by the Fray, and Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix. Right away when comparing these in-ear buds I can hear a subtle difference in quality. Not to say the Sony's are bad or even close to it. Marshall has been creating quality sound in music for so long with their amps, but this ear bud by Marshall is special. Comparing them with the Sony is sort of like comparing a Boston Rally Series component speaker to Boston's Pro series components. Bass response is quite good in the Marshall but isn't quite as in your face as the Sony. However, bass response is tighter and much more accurate from Marshall, voices sound clearer, and the high end... This is where the Marshalls enter another level. The Marshalls are so very crisp and there is something of a presence that makes the music sound more robust and enjoyable. At times the same tracks just exhibit a clearer sound and come off good through them but harsher through the Sony's. The small buds that were on it fit bad and leak sound, but the mediums that came with it fit perfect and keep these nicely in my ears even when moving, and the clip helps a lot. There wasn't a pouch or case to protect them which was odd, because even much cheaper sets offer something here. The call/track button is good but there is not a volume button. The gold shield over the plug connector is nice and protects where many earphone cords fail, but the angle cuts it so short that it doesn't fit my old iPhone 5's Belkin Survivor well, it sticks out at an odd angle, but my HTC One with an Otterbox Defended fits nicely. The eq switch seems to add a richer tone and more bass when up, and a brighter high end when down. The difference in price is double for the Marshalls, but you gain quite a bit and it is so very worth the extra in price. There were minor fitment issues but in the end sound quality wins out big and I am very happy I purchased the Marshall Mode Eq's!

Strong Bass That Doesn't Overpower Mids

My RHA 750I went wonky on my after 4 months so while I've been waiting on repair, I went into my local BB store and bought a pair of these. They are amazing. Very rich sound. If it tells you anything one sales representatives owned a pair but was too busy to talk with me. At checkout I asked the cashier about them and he said that he had heard them demo'd and he was going to buy a pair. He said they sound better then the $129.00 Bose. Most important for me is that the Control Button is located at the bottom of the V and the Mic in the lower middle, so I'm able to use them as an over the ear Headset without problems. They sounded great right out of the box and keep getting better. They don't seem to be built like tanks. Yes the mic plug is reinforced but the earbud cords just seem to be regular. So knowing how tough I am on earbuds I ponied up $15.00 for a 2 year warranty. They are really comfortable. I'd have to say that they are strong on the Bass without being overpowering and distorting the mids.

It's hard to justify spending $100 on in ear headphones and not being able to experience then before purchase. The market is flooded with beats garbage, of which a few friends enthusiastically pressured me to listen to and then go buy. I wasn't impressed with the sound balance to say the least. True audiophiles should shy away from beats and look no further than these awesome headphones. I have owned several Marshall guitar amplifiers and loved their sound, so with the hope of a similar experience I snatched these up. I was blown away with the quality of sound and build of these. For in ear headphones you will be hard pressed to find anything better without jumping into small fortune territory. The adjustable EQ switch is great when listening to different genres that would benefit from a bit more lows and mids, but even then the sound is still crisp and distinctive (unlike the flooded mess of bass beats forces on you) So far the Mode EQs have held up nicely to daily use, have had them for a little over month now. You can answer phone calls, pause/play music and skip tracks using a single button. Attached to the switch is also a nice clip you can use to fasten the cord to you clothes. Comea in very handy when running / jogging so that the cord doesn't try and pull out the ear buds. Usual in ear size options, small size is on from factory so I had to swap to the large size. If you're looking for in ear headphones in the $75 - $200 price range I'll tell you right now you won't find anything better than these if you enjoy music and not just a sea of bass hits. Highly recommend.
