Originally I had the Beats Pill XL. This speaker has awesome sound, it was easily portable, I could charge my iPhone with it and I could control my music from it and get phone calls on it so to me this was the best thing since sliced bread, LOVED my pill XL. Sadly there was a recall, Apple was giving $325 for the pill but no replacement so I was forced for safety reasons to shop for something equivalent to my pill. After shopping online googling wireless speakers I found the Marshall. The classic design grabbed me first then reading reviews people loved the sound so I went out to test different speakers to see how they worked and looked in person. Initially I was considering the smaller portable version. It has a handle and was definitely easy to carry around but the sound didn't compare to the XL so I went up to the next bigger version. It gave the option to control the sound i.e. Treble and Bass and the sound was decent from what I could tell in the store with the preselected music. I was told I could bring it back if I didn't like it, bought it, got it home, connected my phone which was Very easy and tested it out and I must say the sound on this Marshall is phenomenal and I mean Phenomenal. I have been playing it everyday since I got it 3 months ago and so far so good. Pros: Style, sound is phenomenal, options to control the levels, hook up with Aux, easy pairing and the sound once again. Cons: can't charge devices, can't control the music from the Marshall, can't receive phone calls and doesn't have a sleep/power off option Overall I am very happy with Marshall the main thing for me was the sound and being able to carry in a large home and it does with ease without losing anything or having distortions when its loud. I just wish it could at least charge my phone if I needed it to and had s sleep mode or automatic power off if no device is connected like the XL

This speaker delivers clear and LOUD sound. I bought it to use for parties I host at my house. At the three parties I've hosted in the past two months, several guests have commented and asked about the speaker. Marshall is known for quality sound on large speakers, but this little speaker is no exception. If you like the retro look, you'll love this speaker. The bluetooth option works well (up to about 6 feet)...usually I use my iPhone with the AUX cord that is provided. The bass is also good for when you want that extra "boom" in your sound. Overall, definitely worth the price. It's a small speaker that definitely packs a punch!

even though it lacks some basic features like phone call support this speaker is a winner when it comes to sound quality. I've read a lot of reviews before buying Stanmore. Few said lows are not good, its all about the bass etc. I'd think otherwise. I loved the way acoustic sounds(specially guitars), lows, mids are pretty decent. Bass is freaking awesome. This thing is super loud and fills an entire small home with great sound. give it a shot with some classic instrumental and you'll fall in love with it. The song I played as a test in BB store- Get Lucky(daft punk) which helped me decide. Now, talking about, cons...there are quite a few- *Not portable- so you have to carry it from room to room and plug it in *No ios/android support. it still uses plain Bluetooth pairing and you cannot change songs from the speaker like other Bluetooth speakers allows you to do *A remote could have been a great add given the size and weight of the speaker you'll want to place it in one fixed spot always *pairing is not that great. I find it difficult to pair multiple devices. Overall if you are a music lover and want a great sounding box. Marshall Stanmore is the Best buy.

This speaker is great. It has multiple inputs, a 3.5mm jack, bluetooth and optical as well an a RCA input. It has two power standby modes, basically if it is actively 'listening' for a bluetooth device to connect or not. This works well, and I have it set to automatically connect to either my laptop or PC via bluetooth. The knobs and switches on the top feel solid and smooth and the overall unit is very pleasing to the eye, reminiscent of a guitar amplifier. The sound quality is amazing, and like the title says, it is like listening to an angel sing. There is no distortion at normal levels and the bass and treble tone is adjustable. The box is carry-on sized should you buy it when you are on vacation and overall it is a great speaker - I am very happy with my purchase. My unit is black and I believe it comes in white also.

I mistakenly bought this Marshall speaker thinking that it was a portable speaker that I could charge the battery for and then disconnect the battery and go anywhere I wanted with this speaker. Not so in this case because it's requires an electrical outlet in order to use it. It has no battery at all so I wasn't happy with that one disadvantage so I returned it to the store to buy a JBL Extreme Portable speaker. While my new JBL Extreme speaker only delivers 40 watts of power, the Marshall sound was incredibly better with it's 80 watts of power which I loved, but the Marshal was just not what I was looking for.. If you're looking for a portable speaker that will give you a solid punch for your money and you don't mind having to plug it in all the time then this speaker may very well be the best one out there for you with it's size and power!. It's beautifully designed but a bit heavy too being a petite woman of my size.

We enjoy our new Marshall amp/Bluetooth speaker. It's so user friendly just plug your phone or pad in or use Bluetooth either way it's easy. We can use it for listening on the deck or when watching a great movie. The look is very retro which is a nice change from the regular portable speakers. The only thing it does not provide is mobility if you don't have a plug in available. We chose this item for home so it works perfectly for us.

Sounds great! Will fill any room with rich sound. Plenty loud for the patio as well. It looks great. It has the latest Bluetooth audio plus 1/8" mini jack to allow for easy audio input. Build quality seems good. It is about the size of a cinder block but much lighter so it is easy to move from room to room without too much effort. I would probably get a second speaker or something smaller if you are going to move it around every day. Overall I recommend this product.

The Marshall Stanmore is an awesome desk, bookshelf, or stand alone speaker. I haven't used it outside yet, but plan to. Positives: Sound quality.(so nice, warm tones, not distorted when loud) looks(it looks like a mini amp in your living room) hook ups(bluetooth has been great, Personally, I think it sounds better hooked up via cables, but the bluetooth sounds really good) Negatives: price, has to be plugged in Buy this speaker. You won't be dissapointed

A bit pricey but easily compares with Bose or sonos. Had the filborn before that because I wanted portability but the volume was weak. This is a real 75 watts and at 3-4 it's impressive...move it up to 6 and it starts moving. No problems with connectivity to iPhone via Bluetooth or old iPod. A great purchase. Just wish it had a strap like the filburn

The sound quality from these Marshall portable speakers are amazing! Super loud and great bass and treble. Love the fact that you can adjust each with knobs and are not just stuck with the sound provided as it is often times either too much or not enough bass. Only knock on this one is that it needs to stay plugged in at all times so you cant take it places that do not have outlets.

Visually, this speaker is awesome! It really does have the old rock & roll vibe. Sound wise, it's not a true stereo system (as there's no real separation), however, the sound more than makes up for it. I've never turned it up past 1/2 volume (not necessary). I'm also surprised at the quality of the Bluetooth connection; really handy (even though I use the 'corded' option for CD play). Will it take the place of a high end component system? Of course not. That said, without needing to give up tons of space for multiple speakers & components, it really is fitting my needs so far. If I REALLY need to hear something in true stereo with full separation, I'll wear my headphones. I've used it for old rock, blues, 1920s jazz, and classical piano CDs, and enjoyed them all tremendously. I'm really glad that I finally (after torturing myself over it for 10 months) made the purchase. No regrets!

I am so impressed with this little unit, that I bought another! There are so many ways to hook up to it, but the Bluetooth is flawless. The sound quality is strong and loud with great bass reflex for anything this size. You can feel the kick drum thump across the room. Worth your attention!

We were actually looking for a portable speaker like Bose etc..to take with us traveling, trips, outside in the back yard, but my husband also wanted something for his workshop that he could actually hear above the tools!!! So the Best buy guy walked us to each and every speaker and played them for us with our phones and all types of music we picked from jazz, metal, rock, pop, dance...Out of all of them this played them all so nicely. You can adjust your treble and base for whatever type of music you prefer...and when the isle finally cleared out...he blasted it..sound was great! We are truly satisfied with this impulse purchase..that we never even would have looked at otherwise if not for the sales guy at Best buy. It is NOT as portable as what we started out for so it's not going on any trips with us, but it is not very big...we move it from upstairs to downstairs..and can hear it clear as day upstairs! Won't be sorry!

I bought this product after trying out many other "high tech" speakers. However, when I saw the marshall I had to try it out. It was well worth the money!! I've seen lots of bands using Marshall cabinets with their music gear and I've always loved their products. This speaker is very sturdy, allows for a user friendly interface as well as treble and bass controls. I can play music through it from quite a distance by using my computer's bluetooth. Even when I'm playing my fender amplifier with a 12" speaker I can still hear the music I'm playing with through the Marshall very well. This speaker really fills the room WAY better than most others of a similar type!!

The speaker sounds great, has plenty of volume with separate bass & treble level controls. Portability is somewhat limited since it needs to be plugged into a wall outlet. For the price of the speaker it would be nice if they would add wi-fi capability similar to some competitors at the same price point. Overall the best sounding bluetooth speaker that I was able to find.

I wanted a speaker to use with my satellite radio. Tried all speakers as I did not want to pay the price of the Marshall. Guess what-kept coming back to the Marshall. The qualities are the fantastic big, deep and clear sound that fills the room. The tremble and bass is right on and not over powering as you find in a lot of other speakers. I am totally impressed. Yes the price is high; however it is worth it. I have a number of other speakers in my home and none touch the Marshall.

I purchased the Marshall Stanmore Bluetooth speaker wanting to have the flexibility to use Bluetooth technology but also hard wire the speaker to my TV for geater audio sound. I've had the speaker for several weeks now and could not be more pleased. The connection option include Bluetooth, Optical, and Standard Red/White audio cable connections. The look of it always garners unsolicited positive comments from my guests. I highly recommend the Marshall Stanmore Bluetooth Speaker to any audio enthusiasts.
