It's a good sounding bluethooth speaker. Nice style. But sound quality varies depending on room and angle placement, and recording production. If you're a stereophile who values a great sound system, this one speaker will not be everything you need. If you want to listen to music while cooking in the kitchen its great

Hello, thanks for your review and feedback. It's true, the audio experience can be influenced by the placement of the speaker and how the audio bounces back off of different surfaces. Did you try the placement settings in the Marshall Bluetooth app?

The Marshall Stanmore 3 Bluetooth Speaker is a simplistic but aesthetically vintage inspired designed speaker. The speaker is straight forward and user friendly with minimal or basic controls (Power toggle switch, vintage turn knobs for volume, bass, treble, and a rocker switch for play controls. Bluetooth works great allowing you to connect it to your tablet, laptop, or cell phone. There are also AUX 3.5mm input jack and rca inputs for an additionally vintage feel and sound.
The first thing I loved about the Marshall Stanmore 3 is its classic, vintage look that's reminiscent of the iconic Marshall guitar amps. It has a black textured vinyl covering that looks great with any décor and feels sturdy. The woven grille with golden trim and controls adds a touch of elegance to the design. The speaker is a little big with some weight but compact enough in size that makes it easy to fit on a shelf, entertainment center, or desk.
The sound quality of this speaker is very soothing to the ears. It produces a well-balanced full spectrum and clear sound. The speaker has a powerful bass response without overwhelming the midrange and highs. The sound easily fills any room with enough volume and is still able to produce soothing sounds in a small room at low volume. I actually enjoy using this speaker in my bedroom to play soothing rain sounds to fall asleep to. The Sound produced is very realistic and I was able to play at a low enough volume to make the speaker placement inconspicuous on my shelf but still fill the room satisfactorily.
When playing some old school tunes it almost had that vintage vinyl sound that some audiophiles love. I absolutely love this speaker. The only thing that would make it perfect is if it came with a rechargeable battery and handle to make it portable. But of course, this was made with a vintage Marshall feel for home theatre which it excels.

Marshall - Stanmore III Bluetooth Speaker - Black
The Marshall Stanmore III is kind of large for a Bluetooth speaker. It is also a bit heavy but without any handles. This is because this speaker is meant to be like a bookshelf speaker. It runs off of mains voltage, no battery. It has no MIC so there is no voice use. It does have 3 inputs, 1 3.5mm input jack, 1 set of RCA inputs, and Bluetooth input. It has an APP to help control the speaker but once set up through the APP, the APP is not really needed any longer. All controls can be used right on the speaker. The APP will help you set up the speaker position and firmware updates if required. The speaker is not weather/waterproof at all. So, no long-term patio use as setting outside in the humidity will damage the speaker. The sound of this speaker is well above a normal Bluetooth speaker. The volume of this speaker can be controlled by the device you’re sending music to it with, or by the turn of the volume knob on the top of the speaker. The speaker uses a ported bass reflex system and can be tuned by the APP to best suit its placement. The speaker has the well-defined Marshall signature look and feel.
I only miss 2 things about this speaker. No battery, and no IP rating.
But with this speakers designed use as a bookshelf or equivalent speaker this is really a non-issue. The speaker also adds a Forward skip, Back Skip, and Pause/Play button. When set up as a bookshelf speaker these functions do not seem to be of much use because you’re not right on top of the speaker. If you’re using the speaker in a room for a party, then having these functions can be helpful. These functions only work with Bluetooth.
Overall if you are looking for a single speaker that can be hooked up with RCA, Bluetooth, or 3.5mm jack this should be one of your top picks.

I really like standmore series. I had a standmore 2 before, and I sold it before I I moved. Now I moved to a new apartment, so I bought a latest standmore speaker.
