I bought this sub-woofer to complement the ML sound bar I recently purchased to connect to my 50" plasma TV. Wow, what a difference in sound quality. The low frequency tones are really improved. The sound coming out of the sound bar is better because the bass part is taken away from having to be produced. I really like the Bluetooth connectivity that is available with these two products. No wires running across the floor (the big reason I purchased a single sound bar and sub-woofer) . All-in-all this was a great purchase.

Many thanks to Daniel at the Best Buy Renaissance Center/Fayetteville Rd. NC for his technical knowledge, patience, and recommendation of this Martin Logan subwoofer, which has greatly improved my home stereo sound by adding and integrating considerable bass to my otherwise weak sounding system.

Sound is very good. Some feedback with wireless frequency but being able to put where I needed without hard wire is great!

1$ per watt is a steep price to pay for your sub. however, the compact size, response and overall sound quality is amazing. Allegedly the wireless feature is great, but I opted to hardwire to my receiver. I purchased 2 of these for my 7.2 system and have each at about 40% gain. PLENTY of power to rock my house from the basement out.

After must research for a substantial subwoofer with a small footprint I chose the Dynamo 700 10". Although a small package it compliments my new Definitive Technology passive sound bar.
I liked the options it provided; but chose to utilize lfe cable. Can't comment on the wireless capability. It produces all the bass I need and more. Very clean; small; and good sounding. (blinking blue light on rear of unit can be annoying, covered with small piece of electrical tape as suggested in direction sheet).

The Martin Logan D 700w does a great job and is very easy setup. It replaced a much costlier but older SUB. It is not a boomy and has plenty of bass to rattle your floors. The setup does not require must difficulty. My MCI amp used the simple input in which it controls the output. It comes in smoothly as if it is almost not there but it is (replaying to hear difference was a WOW) the transition really impressed me on certain movies it is awesome. Stargate is an example... I know its an older film but the D700 does it right. It can be overdriven so there is plenty of bass to satisfy a bass hunger if you so have.

Hi.. I have a lot of sub-woofers in the house, but all are ported, meaning they let the air our. This is my first sealed sub and wow, what a difference. The bass is much tighter, much 'crisper' and isnt 'boomy'. I was having an issue in my listening room with acoustics and ported subs causing a lot of feedback and getting this sub in there cleared up all the acoustical anomalies that the room was causing. For its small size it puts out an incredible amount of sound so dont think that because its small its going to sound small, far from it. I would highly recommend this sub in any situation.

I pick this up as a package deal with a pair of motion 40s. I was already planning on buying the 40s and found that I could have the sub for an extra $200 at Best Buy. I had already purchased the same sub and was happy with it. Now I have two!

I would definitely say with 100% confidence that this is one of the best sub woofers that i've ever used..especially at this price point.
Bass is really clean and very deep and not distorted even at mid to high volumes. Also the wireless feature is really useful as you have the flexibility to place the sub at any location. Also the feature to convert it to Front or down firing sub is awesome. The build quality is awesome and top notch. Please note that it might take some time (approx 50 hrs as mentioned in the documentation online) for it to break in to reach it full potential.

This unit is part of a private home theater.
This is a real good Sub ! Very impressive performance in alll required range.
The sound purity is out of scale, my room is 25 sqm or 2600 Sqft and there there is no problem at all .
The Dynamo do the work !
Mine is connected with a cable I did not used the optional WiFi transmetter.

My 10 year old Klipsch died and went to SW heaven. Looked at a number of possible replacements including Klipsch. Settled on the ML after listening to a number of SW options in the Magnolia section of the BB store. Easy setup and then experimentation with settings to see how it would perform-TV, streaming, DVD and music. I adjusted some of the settings and found an optimum listening level for my media sound outputs. In standard mode SW delivers sound downward (works perfectly for me). Output direction can be changed easily by removing the unit's base brackets and installing the fabric grill. The design is compact and very attractive. My best surprise was that the ML SW performed beautifully when using all forms of media. The sound is PURE Bass. It does not vibrate the floor or walls like my Klipsch. Only issue-very disturbing blinking blue light that is only useful if you are using the SW in wireless mode. I had to cover the the light in order to get rid of the distraction

Wanted a small sub to add LFE to my system. Great size and finish matches my Sanus furniture perfectly. Very easy hookup and integration. Would recommend covering the blinking blue light on the back (wireless transmitter sync.) with black electrical tape. Don't understand why they can't design to turn it off. That being said an outstanding value at the sales price. Get one before they are sold out (I got 2!!)

Excellent sub. The only issue is the IEC inlet for power requires a 90 degree adapter for the usage of a high quality power cord when the sub is positioned forward-facing as opposed to downward-firing.

This was a recommendation from Best Buy Magnolia staff. I needed a small subwoofer that could be placed on a shelf or cabinet lower section. It replaced the older Bose woofer and we are very happy with the sound.

My listening room is very oddly shaped. I wanted to add a bit of subtle bass to a portion of the room so I was looking for a second sub. This sub worked perfectly for two reasons. It is wireless so I could easily move it to every possible location until the right one was found AND it is simply a wonderful subwoofer. Solid, well built and could be the stand alone in my crazy shaped room. I liked that you could use it in both a down-firing or front-firing configuration. One of the possible spots I had for it was a cabinet which would have been perfect for the front-firing configuration. It ended up on the floor so down-firing was perfect for that spot. Easy set up for me. My receiver had a second sub output which I connected to the transmitter. The receiver is built in to the sub so there is no extra box. Buy one. Plug it in. Have fun. Excellent performance in a small package.

I had two of these, and as almost any room is considered, more than one sub woofer is nearly a requirement based on refelctive surfaces, soft, wave absorbing furniture and multiple seating locations.
I found that the ML Dynamo is very powerful and controlled compared to other discreet, compact size units and thus decided to do multiples of them. It's not a high end unit, but a 2,000.00 subwoofer is still subject to the same issues in the room, so, my solution is to buy 3- 700.00 ones and spend weeks setting them up.
I have ML front and Centers, and don't think its a brand thing for me, actually, this sub is made for ML by someone else to the ML standard and price point. Easily configurable to change from front to down firing, and frankly, if your processor has LFE output, a very good "bang" for the buck. I use them with the ML Theos fronts, the large center and three Mcintosh 200WPC amps, bridged to 400 per channel across the front. These woofers keep up flawlessly and wether movies or audio, they work well.

I have had several name brand subwoofers for my home entertainment system in the past. Some were overpowering ,and some were weak. The Dynamo 700 supplies the right amount of bass, not muddy, and not overpowering. For its smaller size, it sounds a lot larger.

I have this paired with a pair of Martin Logan bookshelf speakers and a Definitive center channel in my living room and if fills in with a nice amount of oomph. It came as down firing but I found out that when sitting on a hardwood floor it was walking around and making rattling sounds. I switched it to front firing and wham, it was night and day. It stays put and the bass is full and tight. The bluetooth is a bonus as I was able to place the speaker a ways away and it was a breeze to hook up. Plug in the sending unit to the receiver, hold the pair button on the subwoofer and it connected within seconds. We mostly use it for watching TV but sometimes use it for listening to music. I haven't pushed it too hard yet but so far it seems capable. No regrets.
