Great sound from a good-looking speaker. Easy install

Paired these speakers with my Martin Logan electrostatic speakers and the sound is so good!

I was in the market for a full set of speakers for our home theatre system and I was pretty much set on building our system out of Definitive Technology's speakers. I was almost ready to check out at our local Best Buy store when an associate stopped me to ask if I had given these Martin Logan Motion Series a listen. I told him that I hadn't, and he proceeded to give me a demo. Let me tell you, I was absolutely floored. I knew right then and there that I would not be building my system out of Def. Tech, but Martin Logan instead. I used these Motion 2's as my rear surround speakers. These speakers may be small in size, but they are NOT small in sound. They play loud and crystal clear. You simply don't expect it from something this small in size. Martin Logan definitely did their homework on these. If you are in the market for bookshelf speakers, or rear speakers for your surround system, then you absolutely owe it to yourself to head down to a local Magnolia store and give these little gems a listen. Simply fantastic. Rounding out my system is a pair of Martin Logan Motion 4's for fronts, a Martin Logan Motion 6 center channel and a Martin Logan Dynamo 500 subwoofer. The sound is simply mind blowing for the money spent.

Perfect for a low-profile surround experience! Would buy MartinLogan again!

I have two pairs of these. In my living room as my rears and also in a spare bedroom as a stereo setup. Both are being pushed by Marantz receivers rated at 150W and 50W, both sound great. Plan to add Martin Logan in-ceilings for Dolby Atmos. If you are deciding between these or Bowers and Wilkins go with the Martin Logans.

So I was in the market for some small bookshelf speakers to pair with a vintage amp and turntable for my home office. I have several pairs of Polks that I like pretty well, but I thought I would look around for something I like better. I stopped in BB and went to the Magnolia section and since these were on sale, I listened to these first. I was immediately blown away by the amount and quality of the sound (although I did have a sub working with them). The mids and highs were astounding...much clearer and brighter than any other speakers I own. I also listened to a couple different Definitive Tech's, but they sounded muddy after the Martin Logans. At the current sale price, this is a... no brainer. Even at regular price, I would recommend.

I got these to match up with my Motion 8 Center and my Dynamo 500 sub. I just watched Battlefield -Los Angeles and the bullets were whizzing past me like I was there. I am amazed at the quality of Martin Logan products. I am getting 2 more for my rear surrounds tomorrow (hey might as well use the 7.1 Denon I have). I am also selling my Axiom Audio M80 towers and replacing them with Motion 12's. Martin Logan makes quality, excellent sounding speakers.

This is the best bookshelf speaker at medium to high volume. It make you feel the sound so real that it will bring out the movie or music to greater degree. You can not go wrong with a selection of this speaker.
