My sister has a sound bar. I was originally leaning that way, but I went with a Denon receiver, and these speakers, These speakers deliver great sound with whatever I'm watching: movies, sports, etc. Make sure you pair it with a good sub-woofer for an amazing experience.

For music, get the 4s

OK. I bought a pair of these Motion 2s because when I listened to vocals on them the sound was so natural and airy. When I got them home and supposedly broke them in the result is that they simply have no bass frequencies. So if you're listening to music, you will need to augment with a subwoofer. I bought the cheapest Polk sub and now these speakers are reasonably satisfying. I would have preferred the 4s because I believe I could have managed without a sub. For vocal reproduction, the folded tweeter on these speakers is quite wonderful, I will say that for sure. Just be forwarned about there being absolutely no bass. OK.
