I was looking for a brighter speaker than I had and these Motion 40's delivered. I did end up having to move my Denon avr out of the entertainment center so it could dissipate the heat better. And I can see the Motion 30 coming down the road too. I have the Dynamo 500 and it seems to be a great match with these 40's for my room which is about 20' x 15'. Like the summary says these sounded better than I expected. BTW the black cherrywood cabinets are beautiful too. Thanks to Best Buy in Jordan Landing, Utah and to Kyle the manager and Marshall the Magnolia center salesman, both of these folks had to be mentioned for helping me in making this upgrade in sound.

Excellent speakers, i love the sound the motion 40's produce, i have tried many different speakers including ML ESLs, B&W CM9s, Polk RTi line and many more, and i can say without a doubt that these speakers are the best (at least to my ear) The only other speaker that sounded clearer and a little more detailed to me were the ML ESLs, but they have a very narrow "sweet spot", and outside the "sweet spot" they sounded muffled to me. If you are looking to buy new speakers definitely go to your locac BB Magnolia center and hear them out. You can check out my video of the Martin Logan Motion 40s on youtube.

Well worth it for the performance of these speakers

By far the most amazing pair of speakers I have owned compared to the KEF, B&W, Energy RC, Klipsch, Mission, Focal, and Monitor Audio speakers I've had in the past. My days of buying speakers are over. The clarity and definition of these speakers is remarkable. Some say the base isn't deep enough. Wire these with a good quality 14 gauge oxygen free copper and you won't ever say that.
