The cabinet on one speaker was damaged (had to exchange) On the other one the drivers had a mottled pattern around them One speaker did NOT work

Got this recently along with a Pioneer SC 81. Hooked them up and wow the music that comes out is incredible. My dogs were shivering the first day. However I got to say I am not as impressed as I was thinking I would be after listing to the ML 40s. I was thinking I would be blown away but not quite there yet. I single wired them first and was not impressed at all. However after bi-amping them I did feel a lot of differences, So I would suggest to do so if you do not own a separate amp yet. I do however want to get a separate amp pretty soon to appreciate what these have to offer. Overall I would say buy them but I am pretty sure you will appreciate them more if you have a standalone amplifier in place.

We recently remodeled our home and we now have a great room that's about 2000 sq. ft. We are avid movie and tv watchers and love our tunes. We paired these speakers with a Marantz 6011 receiver/amp, the Motion 30 center channel, two Polk Audio Hi-Fronts, Velodyne subwoofer and 8" Sonance Ceiling rear surrounds. The sound, even in a huge room with too many hard surfaces is simply superb. The electrostatic tweeters really bring out the high ranges and the double woofers pack punch. You just need to make sure you have enough power to drive them well. Overall, if you're going to make an investment in a sound system, you won't be disappointed with the XT60s'.

I have 2 60xts and 1 50xt, and they are simply amazing pieces of hardware that plays soothing music to my ears. The sounds on these are very tight bass, midrange and also the highs. They are well played with my Marantz SR-7005 and so far they have not let me down. I will definitely buy and recommend Martin Logan XT series. I have the black cherry one for all 3 of mine and I love them.

I thought i had made a mistake putting so much money into my system because of how it sounded. Few weeks later after they broke in, I LOVE THEM! they sound very good.

I did not purchase this at best buy as I had other vendor's gift cards. But did audition it at Magnolia. They sounded very balanced. Even though they are high efficiency speakers, I'd recommend running them with seperates, if these are used for 5.1 setup. I have paired these with 50XT and 35XTs. If it was only for the sound quality, I'd give it 5 stars. But when it arrived, I noticed white patches all over woofer and mid drivers. I could remove it with some alcohol. But these are expensive speakers and for the price it reasonable to expect clean speakers from Martin logan, specially when they are brand new.

I upgraded to the Motion 60's a week after purchasing Motion 40's. The prospect of deeper bass response was enough to make me pull the trigger. I will say that not only was there a deeper bass response, but the larger folded motion tweeter was equally impressive and matched very well with the two 8" woofers and single 6" mid driver. The speakers sound incredible in both 2 channel and 5.1 formats (mine are matched with the 50XT center and Motion 15 rears). I listened to B&W CM8,9, &10s as well as def.tech. mythos super tower and I found the Martin Logan 60's superiority over both was quite evident. They are sonically well balanced and would recommend them highly.

I can't say enough about how incredible these speakers are. I have sold high end speakers for over 8 years and these are very special speakers. Especially for the price range. I read many reviews on Absolute Sound and Sound and Vision and completely agree with what they said. Reference quality. I'm hearing things I have never heard before in my movies and music. The detail and sound stage really is incredible and they work great for all applications. I bought them with the Dynamo 1500X, Motion 50XT, and FX speakers for the rears. I'm very happy and ask that others hear these and read about these compared to others speakers in this range and even higher. In my opinion they can't be beat for value.

First went in to look at the 40’s! Last day of the sale. Brandon did a excellent job of demoing the 40’s and the 60’s. This is probably my last speaker purchase....couldn’t say no to the Mac daddy 60. Never had a high end floor speaker! Got a great deal! Waiting for them to ship as they sold out for this sale. Have a 7.1 system with a 60” pioneer Kuro TV. Going to disconnect the front in-walls and plug these into the system! Will update after they ship!
