This game is pretty good, I waited for years for them to make another one. Not sure if the Switch is the best console for it. Camera angles can be a pain at times, even though you can play the game solo, I recommend playing with others as the computer PC's sometimes don't react or fight how they should. It is awesome how many characters you can choose between.

The gameplay from this addition to the Ultimate Alliance series is overall the same hack-n-slash formula you get from the previous iterations. I love being able to combine special attacks with compatible heroes to make one awesome combination. It’s so fun having access to so many heroes (after unlocking them) to create your own unique 4 -person team. For example my group loved messing around as the Spider team (Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Miles, Venom)
I don’t play this game solo, I prefer couch gameplay with 3 other people because that makes it all the more fun. However, one of the most annoying things about this game is the camera issues.
When set to automatic, the camera can be atrocious and incredibly frustrating to deal with. Even if you set a player to manually control the camera it’s still very hard to actually move sometimes when everyone is spread out on the screen. I wished the developers considered moving the camera just a tad bit further away to help. Other than that, this game is pretty fun as a 4-player party game.

I give it 5 stars because it was exactly what I was shopping for. I wanted a good Marvel multiplayer game. It’s fun story (not a great story like Spider Man or Batman Arkham Asylum). It also doesn’t have the best immersive gameplay, and doesn’t have great graphics. So if you’re looking for all that, this is not the game.
But if you’re looking for a good multiplayer campaign game, this one is great! As long as you can get at least one other player to play with you it’s great. If you can get a team of 4, it’s even funner! The characters are different enough in gameplay that everyone will develop favorites. It’s not the easiest game to beat either. The less user players, the harder as well. But even when we played with 4, we died a lot still with the big bosses. It’s a great superhero game. The one big pain in the but is the camera. Sometimes it makes things very difficult. Great multiplayer game overall.

My son really wanted to play a multiplayer game with me so when this game came out I snatched it up. We have been playing every night for a week, trying out different heroes, tweaking their stats, it's fun!
But we have to put up with two things that drive us crazy. For one, there's too many enemies on the screen at the same time. The Ultimate Alliance games have always been chaotic but this one takes it to another level, and not in a good way.
The second is that the camera is HORRIBLE. In a single player game the player can control the camera but there are plenty of situations where it doesn't matter. I've gone a minute with the camera stuck in a wall with all the enemies off-screen. A minute doesn't sound long, but with all the chaos it's an eternity. In local multiplayer the camera can't be controlled making an already bad situation worse.
Nevertheless, I really do enjoy the game. I only wish the devs had figured out the camera situation better before releasing. As always, there's the possibility that it will get fixed down the road so here's hoping!

Easy to pick and put down, fun to play with friends. lots of iconic familiar characters, tons of fun. I have been playing it 20-30 minutes at a time, and it has been a blast. Fun for all ages, and very easy to learn, hard to master.

Very deep game. Couch co-op is a major selling point allowing 4 players simultaneously. Could have been slightly longer, but the character roster is very balanced

If you have played any other Ultimate Alliance game then you know what you are getting yourself in to. I was so happy when Nintendo announced this as an exclusive game since the Switch has moved in to my #1 spot for consoles since day one purchase. I have not beaten this game but I have payed it for several hours.
Overall, it is very fun and the long list of characters keeps you wanting to progress through the game. People can knock the graphics all they want but for it being on the Switch I will say it looks really good and most importantly it runs smoothly. Things get a bit chaotic and at times I lose sight f my character but this happened with all previous iterations of Ultimate Alliance. This is just a fun beat em up game with cool comic characters.

I loved the first two Ultimate Alliance games, so I was really excited to pick this up. Similarly to the others, you start with a roster of heroes that grows and grows as the game progresses. I started with my Switch in the dock but progressing through the game in portable mode makes me feel like I'm missing some details.
A good old-fashioned masher with some interesting gameplay nuances. For fans of Marvel this is a must-own game.
Pros: Great characters. Some awesome boss fights. Pretty cool storyline so far. If you don't care/don't get the power or team synergy aspect of the game you can just mash buttons and do ok.
Cons: Characters don't level up consistently so I feel like I'm on the brink of being underpowered unless I play the most recently unlocked heroes.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is a blast to play, from the combat to unlocking and upgrading abilities for each character, to all of the challenges. While the bulk of the game is solid, some of the more higher level content has difficulty spikes that seem almost artificial. Personally, I have had a difficult time with some content even when all of the characters I have in my team are at least 10 levels higher than what is recommended.
In addition, there are some cutscenes, particularly in the last half of the game, that have sounds that do not play when they are supposed to, or don't play at all, and it really takes me out of the moment. Overall, 4 out of 5 from me.

First of all the game is wonderful. Addictive button mashing gives way to more nuanced combat as you learn each character. The game starts you off with a handful of fan favorites and peppers in new heroes at a steady pace so you constantly feel like you are achieving something. Unlockable customizationa for your team/characters also expand the gameplay longer than in should as you make your way through the campaign. Camera can be a bit finicky at times if you get too close to corners or walls, but it’s forgivable. 4 stars for the camera and the mauled in alternate costumes (which honestly why even bother if you are going to put that minimum effort into). Great game otherwise, highly recommend!

Not as gritty or plot-oriented as previous iterations of Ultimate Allliance but it was entertaining while I played. It would've been nice to have this be on multiple platforms instead of just Switch. Seems to be aimed at a younger target audience than previous games in the series but still fun if you're a fan of Marvel Comics.
