After almost a week, I think the surrounds on this headphone have finally been broken in and the sound will not change anymore. Soundstage is quite large that I have to remember that these are closed back and not open back headphones. The midrange is quite good and this is where you would love this headphone if you love music with a lot of vocals. The highs are excellent too and never gets too piercing or tiring for long term use. Speaking of presence, the high-end sounds great here. It doesn’t distort or sound overly boosted, but there’s certainly enough there to help make the overall sound relatively exciting. The bass is a bit boosted while still maintaining that easy to listen to sound. If you like bass like Beats headphones you may want to look somewhere else. The sound is fairly accurate. These are not neutral headphones as compared to the Oppo PM-3 or Audio-Techicas I have. The clamping pressure is tigther than I'm used to so after a couple of hours my ears hurt if I'm using them as on-ear headphones or I just have a big head. Switching the pads to on-ear solves this problem. The BT reception is quite good and you can get to almost 100 feet away if you have a clear line of sight of yopur audio source. But i still have too see someone ever use BT headphones and leave their smart phone 2 rooms away. On wired mode the sound signature is about the same but with a slightly better clarity. You will hard pressed to tell the difference between wired and BT modes though. It's a bit pricey at $400 and there are better and cheaper alternatives if you want the best bang for your buck. However, no other headphones will come close the quality of the materials used on these headphones. You know it's built to last the moment you see it.

Master & Dynamic MW-50+ headphones Initial impressions: I thought this would just be the wireless version of the MH30 which I enjoy. The sound signature although similar and not exactly the same. Soundstage is good and unlike the MH30 these don't fold since it doesn't have hinges. It does fold flat. Comes with a USB C charging cable which is nice but doesn't come with the power supply. But any old phone charger should work. Midrange is ok so is the high end. The bass has a nice sound and not boomy at all. These are closed back headphones. The grills on the earcups are purely for aesthetics. The reason I got this was it comes with 2 sets of earpads that allow me to go from on-ear to over-ear headphones by just swapping the earpads. I don't have to carry 2 headphones with me all the time.

I was looking for a replacement set of headphones that were light weight but still had a decent sound primarily for guided meditations. I had used PX200 Sennheisers for years that were perfect for this until my grandchildren destroyed them. When I first took the box out of the bag at home I was distressed to see that they were wireless as the ones I tried in the store were wired. A bit of going through the box and research online showed that they were either wired or wireless. I didn't think I would use the wireless feature (we are "health nuts") but I have occasionally and found the wireless feature quite handy. It did not seem to make my tinnitus any worse after a short time which most other bluetooth devices will do. My first thought when using was they were too tight on my head. They are "stretching out" or loosening with use. The physical quality of these are better than any other headphones I have ever owned. They are incredibly durable, beautiful and still real work of craftsmanship. I am not a sound expert by any means, but these are equal to or better in sound quality than my Bose noise canceling or my two pairs of Sennheisers headphones. I was tempted to order another pair of the PX200's to compare them to but after a week of use decided the quality of construction is so much better on these. Yes, the M&D are a bit heavier than I was initially wanting but I am very satisfied.

dayumm. these kick Very well. dependent on the source, these bad boys are clear and loud. be careful with you hearing with these. ive ran them with an Onkyo txsr806 and that puts out some serious sound. these M&D's feel like they can jump off you head with the powerful sound output. very comfortable ear pads which are changeable to over your ears or sit on your ears. very sturdy made headphones. the bluetooth works great also. battery lasts me roughly 20'ish hours with crankin them during the mowing season! i like these headphone for their versatility!!! wired or wireless

The sound quality is great at low volume. At higher volume, sound can be easily heard to those not wearing them- sound seeps out. Occasionally experience crackling or delay issues when first connecting headphones to my pixel phone. Bluetooth range is very good, better than beats. Lightweight and the two different ear pads are very nice to have. Slightly expensive given the issues I've experienced, I plan to mostly use these in private opposed to on planes or at work due to the noise seepage.

I wish these had noise canceling. I loved the sound. They are the most comfortable headphones. And the on-ear plus over-ear option was great. But I really wanted a noise canceling headphone so II returned. them. I'm kicking myself a little for sending them back.

The audio on these headphones are quite nice and I haven't noticed a real lag between the headphones and laptop/ smartphone. The one big issue I have with these are the magnetic clips when switching from the large and small headphone pads. I believe the thought behind the magnetic clips is intuitive. The final product to it not so much. The clips are not a strong hold and the pads easily fall. Although they haven't fallen when I am wearing them, they usually come apart as I am taking them out of the case. It is a minor annoyance that is an easy fix I believe. The look and feel of these headphones I have no complaints.

Master and Dynamic is one of my new favorite companies. These headphones are great. The sound is clear, the bass is well controlled and you really do start to notice sounds you never heard before in tracks. To me this purchase was a win win situation considering these headphones can be worn as an over the ear/on ear, wired and wireless. Based on the options alone I was impressed. Both type of ear pads are comfortable however; I prefer the over the ear. These headphones are not noise canceling however; these headphones have good sound isolation and the volume via Bluetooth gets extremely loud. When corded the volume is slightly lowered. Also there is not an ambient mode to hear your surroundings when out and about. Despite these options not being included I would still recommend and buy this product again. Master & Dynamic really made an impressive product with a beautiful design.

These sounded good, but do sound different with the two different ear pads. Very well built for a luxury headphone. I found that these were uncomfortable after a half hour use due to it clamping a little hard.

Fantastic sound for a bluetooth headphone. How these cans handle female vocals is amazing. Great product for the money.

Nice design can. Sound is good but it can Use more bass. In addition I like the idea of replaceable ear pads so I can buy another pads when they worn out. Well built quality. Got it discounted From Bestbuy so Very happy with this purchase.

The sound was good but nothing that would awe you. You might enjoy listening to it if you could wear them for more than an hour at a time. Bluetooth connection was really bad, they do connect to multiple devices at a time but you are better off switching between two devices manually. If you get out of range from the connecting device, they won't reconnect when you are back in range.

They seem to work really well and connect very quickly to Bluetooth. I am pleased with purchase. Only con is you can’t use them with your phone as there is no microphone.

This headphone is a great one if you are into magnetic cups.
