Purchased this for my son who turned 5. He loves space and science. This was the best gift for him. The only downside is that you have to have an extra cellphone (he uses my old one) and alot of space to download the apps for viewing the wheels. They are so neat and easy to use. I would say great for 5 years to 8 years old. My 6 year old likes it, but not as interested.

Looks real. Good clarity. Would recommend for adults and children. A little difficult to use but well worth it.

I purchased the viewmaster VR starter pack and "Space Experience pack" when I purchased a new phone. I wanted to get my foot in the door with VR and this seemed a perfect poor mans stepping stone to do so. First, I love the actual VR viewer, the headset is great when paired with free apps, there's something magical about watching 360 videos on YouTube and exploring the world in Google Street view. But the experience packs are beyond overpriced for the buggy, glitched, and content void experience they provide. I've always enjoyed the majesty and splendor of the night sky and the mystique of space exploration, but this is just garbage. the augmented reality viewer segment isn't even close to being spaced correctly for the lenses, which is odd considering the rest of the app seemed to work fine, but the low res visuals and infuriating menu systems left me mighty angry (I'm censoring myself for the sake of any youngsters who might view this page and might stumble upon my review.) For anyone thinking of buying this, skip it, buy the headset and head to the app store for some GOOD content. Just search for google cardboard compatible apps and games.

As long as you don't lose the paper card that comes with it that allows your child to access its content. Adults spent more time watching it than the kids!

I have a Google Cardboard VR viewer and found that this product is compatible with it. My daughter loves it. Its definitely something "different". The content was enjoyable and also educational. I would also look into buying the other ones to go along with the Space one.

Have to download the app before you can use it and it takes up a lot of space on your phone. Then the viewmaster has to read the card in order to view it and that did not work, so was not able to view anything. Not a great product at all!! Get a good book on solar system instead or original viewmaster.

This Expansion Pack is my most favorite. You get to see a lot of things like a star map, spaceships, and the solar system. You get to learn facts and get to play around with the product.

My son likes it, can be a little sensitive, and takes some getting used to, but is still a lot of fun and has great learning tools

Great start off point for kids. If your looking for something to keep the kids entertained for a bit this will do the trick.

Had a bit of difficulty at first setting it up to my iPhone. Once I was able to set it up it was really cool to see the planets through the view master

This was a lot of fun the content is a little limited hopefully there will be more.

It's so much more awesome than the old school kind when I was a kid. It's virtual immersion with sound, there are games in the space back, and it's just awesome for all ages. It's a great gift, too, as not too many kids already have this or know about it! Love it!!!

I purchased the View Master VR headset a while back with no content. These were finally on sale/clearance so I bought a few. They're pretty neat!

Got it for my son who loves animals and space. He thought it was great. Not just pictures but has some educational value as well.

I was skeptical on this but it is actually a great product for the price.

Great concept, but man oh man this product needs some kinks worked out of it. Difficult apps that overload the smartphone are par for the course. Multiple swipes of ur passcard will wear u down 2. Don't buy it 4 2 or 3 more years!

This was a good addition to the mattel viewer, not a bad price.

My 5 year old likes rockets, planets and space stuff. She asks me if sge can go to the moon and invites me to go with her. Watching her get excited with everything she sees is priceless.

I expected this to be better. The graphics we less than soectacular. My 8 year old did enjoy it though.
