A little disappointed in this movie, though not in the dog, who was the real star. More like a Disney show as far as acting & character development, but worth watching for the dog.

This is an alright movie.... Especially for kids. Not very good for adults. I wish the story has been more.

When I see a movie with a dog, I automatically assume it is a kids' movie - which is fine, because I like kids' movies. We rented Max because it looked like it would be good, but interestingly, it was my husband, not my animal-loving daughter, who said, "We need to buy this movie!" So we got it for him for Christmas. Excellent movie. Good story. You may shed a tear, but it's not an in-your-face find of tear-jerker.

A good family movie that show a dog that loves his boy and as Max makes a difference in the boys life and it also shows how military dogs and their handlers are a vital part of our nations military too. ENJOY> You get a bluray disc and a dvd disc and a digital ultraviolet movie redemption code too.

I really loved this movie, great story, fine actors and the dogs are amazing! I was surprised at how pricy the bluray version was though. but wanted it cause all of the bonus material is on the bluray only! but this is a fine family movie with a great story! a+

Having served this country for 20 years and being deployed more than a few times, I can't tell you how many lives our military dogs saved. This movie shines a light on those dogs and the bond they have with their handlers and the fellow soldiers in those units.

This was a great movie and I watch over and over..

I found it to be a good movie about a military dog that bonded with his dead handlers younger brother.

Max is a great movie for the whole family. The kids will love it and the adults will love it too.

May not be for viewers younger than 10, some scenes are a bit scary. Great movie if you love dogs. Has a patriotic military theme, and relatable story line.

Loved the movie it was warm hearted story, sad but the story was something truly different.
