This Maytag dishwasher is wonderful! It is very quite, lots of room, and easy to use. I like having all three racks, and the adjustable rack n the middle. It is sleek and clean front so as not to block utensil drawers. I would recommend!

Picked up from store, in boxes it when I got home, found a huge dent in rear of the stainless steel tub, the door is twisted, and closed crooked. I knocked the dent back out , didn't want to wait another week for another one.

    Best Buy on Dishwashers

Thank you Best Buy for replacing a dud of a new Bosch with this beautifully working Maytag. It actually dries my dishes! It is quiet. It also rinses the dishes with enough water where I am not tasting the rinse agent. The tongs where you place your dishes are far enough apart that my dishes don’t bump into each other, and my bowls don’t fall over, like they did with the Bosch. It is easy to set, has the controls inside on the top, much easier seen to set, and has a 10 year manufacturer’s warranty! No other machine has a 10 year manufacturer’s warranty. It also is the only one I saw that has the automatic disposal of the debris that comes off the dishes, taking it to the disposal instead of having to manually clean the “filter” myself. These are things older models used to always offer, yet for some reason, most do not any more. It also does have vents on the side so that the steam from drying comes out instead of my having to hurry up and manage to get to open the door, and make it stay open like I had to do on the Bosch to let the condensation out. It surprisingly was even less expensive by over $200 than the Bosch I had previously tried to use. I was thrilled when I discovered it has the non-fingerprint stainless steel door. And it really does just wipe off with no stains. It is not a “tall tub”, which means no deep bending over, which is much better on my back. It has a third rack, but so far I haven’t used it yet. It also has a tiny light on the front which changes colors so you know which cycle it is on, and when it is finished. The installers did a great job and said this was the model they install the most.

I bought this Maytag dishwasher to replace a Whirlpool Gold unit that I had installed in a new house. The point of this one was to eliminate the towel bar sticking out, affecting cabinets, and to eliminate the filter in favor of a grinder inside. Other checklist items I was looking for was a stainless interior, heated drying option, hidden heating element, integrated controls (on top), and a third top rack. This is missing the hidden heating element, but I am not missing that. I considered this Maytag unit because I used to sell appliances and am familiar with Whirlpool's ownership of Maytag and Kitchenaid. Additionally, the rack system in this is shared with Kitchenaid models I looked at that were a couple hundred more, to the point where I swapped out components successfully. I was not initially looking at Maytag, though, focusing more on Bosch, Kitchenaid, Samsung, and LG. However, I'm glad I purchased this because the functionality and design is well thought out and functional. Also, In addition to checking off all but 1 of my list items, this includes a really awesome silverware basket. It's metal, unlike my outgoing plastic one, and the slots in the top of it that I expected to bug the crap out of me, are actually quite great and produce clean silverware that is easy to put away, when used as designed. I came across this unit because one of my "must have" features was a food grinder, which is near impossible to find today. It used to be a feature only found in the $800-$1000+ units, but they have since foregone them in favour of filters, which help keep noise down, and also reduce the number of fail points. To me, the ease of use with the grinder, and ability to avoid smells and slimy pieces in the dishwasher, far outweighs 2 - 3 decibels over a competitor; especially when units 2 -3 decibels louder than this were considered premium models a couple years ago. Having this installed and running for several weeks now, I can honestly say it's way quieter than my previous Whirlpool, and quieter than a $900 LG I owned 6 years ago. Even still, though this isn't as quiet (on paper) as the Kitchenaid and Bosch units I looked at, you can't hear this running when standing at the sink next to it, so I don't even understand the point of going lower, except bragging rights. In operation, this thing cleans extremely well. It also doesn't develop odors (that I have found yet) due to the stainless interior, and drying and vent system built into it. My old Whirlpool had an issue with odors all the time, and this is a night-and-day difference. Dishes in this come out dryer than my old unit as well, and adding a rinse aid to this makes an even greater difference. The only negative I have about this currently is the top, third rack. The spines on it make it more challenging to put random stuff on it, and it droops down a bit which bumps my bowls when pushing the middle rack in. It definitely eats up space and forces you to rethink the layout of your dishes. Thankfully, it is removable if you don't need it, by simply lifting up the baskets and setting aside. Additionally, because this shares the rack system with Kitchenaid, you can actually use a current Kitchenaid top rack in place of this one, which is more open and more functional, in my mind. I will be going that route for now, to improve my experience. Aside from the top rack, I haven't had any complaints with this model. It handles all my dishes, packs full, runs silently, produces clean dishes, maintains a clean interior, has no odors, and is very simple to use. Honestly, I think this model is a better purchase option than the models $200-$300 more, and I never imagined putting a Maytag in my kitchen. Whirlpool seems to have done great things with the brand, though, and I hope they keep it up. Oh, one other minor thing, that is a really nice touch: there are no logos or branding items on the front, producing a very clean unit when installed. The stickers that are on the front out of the box remove with no residue, and without much effort, so the front looks very clean and modern once they are removed.

Since moving into our new house, I really grew to despise the Whirlpool dishwasher that came with the house. It was old (very old-original to house?), did not clean well (80% chance that food particles would be stuck to the dishes) and meant I pretty much washed all dishes by hand and used it as a drying rack. After much research and deal shopping I found this Maytag at a local Best Buy at a really good price. I took the chance on the open-box online and it was in like-new condition (appeared to have been a shelf display). I installed just 5 days ago, so I can't say anything about reliability yet, but the performance is outstanding. It's quiet (although that wasn't a top priority) and the dishes come out clean without a pre-rinse. This is thanks in large part to the built in grinder that chops up food particles instead of "filtering" (i.e. spraying the particles on all my dishes). The grinder was what sold this model. Even without the dishwasher rinse aid, the dishes were coming out dry without residue. The middle rack being adjustable has been nice. I'm not accustomed to the 3rd rack. I've used it so far for my kid's plastic utensils and flat whisks. I haven't tried the Sanitize cycle yet, but I like the fact that it will notify you if the appropriate temperature for sanitation wasn't reached. Another big plus for us was the fact is made in the USA (along with sister brands Whirlpool and KitchenAid). We like this much better than the KitchenAid (No grinder) and Samsung (plastic tub led to smells and no grinder) we had at our last house.

This machine has more features than the KitchenAid that was 150 more. Very quiet, cleans great. Tons of room. Love the third rack and the food grinder. Installed myself. Not hard. You should have some plumbing and electrical experience.

This machine replaced a cheapo Amana with a filter system. Aside from the darn filter the cheap machine would not dry dishes well. The Maytag is a dream machine. 3 racks, food grinder, quiet, and I can only assume hell breaks loose inside. No need to pre soak. Dishes come out crystal clean and bone dry. Install was easy. I searched the web, read reviews, price checked etc... for a couple months before buying our new appliances. I did not want a loud dishwasher that did not do its job like we had. So I know what brand I would not buy. I wanted a well known reliable brand, so what brand better than Maytag? We had it deliver mid Nov 2018 before Thanksgiving. We all know that we have so many extra dirty dishes at the holiday time.Well not if you have this Maytag dishwasher in the house. Washes in far less time than the old one and they come out so clean too.No leftover soap film. WOW...was I impressed. It is so quite I was not sure it was running at first. Our old one you had to turn off to use the phone or hear the t.v. Not this new Maytag, and clean dishes are sparkling. Almost forgot to mention the third rack, it is great for all those sharp knifes. I always worried about kiddo getting ahold of knifes in the dishwasher, that third rack is almost hidden, it don’t take away from the space for dishes below either. What a great idea the third rack was, thanks Maytag. Price was a bit more but I wanted quite and this dishwasher has been worth every penny. I am so happy with this purchase I don’t think I will be seeing the Maytag man anytime soon. Only downfall is the off button is very hard for me to turn off due to arthritis, but that’s the only button that has give me a hard time. Just love this dishwasher, you will too, trust me.

I shopped for days. I researched online for “The top dishwashers of 2018” etc. I read well over 100 reviews of various makes and models of dishwashers. I was shocked to discover how many horrible reviews there were for every major dishwasher manufacturer. Even for the European manufacturers. I was doubly confused when I looked at the so-called “Top Picks” from professionals appliance websites and compared their recommendations with actual user reviews warning others to avoid that same dishwasher like the plague. I have no faith in professional reviewers anymore. So why this dishwasher? (I purchased 2) Why did I choose a Maytag to replace two Asko (now Viking) wickedly expensive money-pit dishwashers for a luxury home? First, it was the only dishwasher I found that actually has a hard food disposal! All dishwashers have disposals right? Wrong. A stainless steel strainer at the bottom is not a disposal. It’s a strainer. It doesn’t grind up food particles like this one. Second, ball bearings drawer glides. I actually said “ooooooo” when I slid out the upper tray for the first time. The drawers slide in and out very nicely compared to most of the other models I tried which were quite terrible. Third, it has the 3rd shelf up top for silverware, spatulas and other long items etc. Fourth, it’s a very handsome dishwasher. Plus, the Maytag sticker on the front peels off easily with zero residue as well as one other “10 year warranty” sticker so the entire front of the dishwasher is emblem free! Maytag, you better give that decision maker a raise. Seriously. Fifth, the stainless steel exterior does not fingerprint! Lastly, the price was very competitive compared to everything else I looked at and I looked at everything. I got caught up on dB ratings and how one dishwasher was 2 or 3 dB quieter than another but the more you read about it the more you realize how manufactures fudge this number. Just know that this dishwasher is super quiet. You can barely hear it when you stand next to it and that means you can run it during the day or while watching TV with no issues. The dishes come out beautifully clean. Installation was always also very easy. However, I have installed many many dishwashers over the years so I had experienced on my side. So as of December 2018, I feel like this is a true hidden gem of a dishwasher.

I'm so very happy with this dishwasher, it was actually our second choice. The first one we chose actually ended up being defective (different make/model) and we ended up with this one. I'm SO grateful because this one is so much quieter. It also has a 3rd rack I didn't think I needed (i don't) but it has much more room than I thought it would. We have had it for about a month now and have had no trouble with it at all. I'd definitely buy it again but grateful I don't have too, this machine should last us a good while.

I read some complaints about this dishwasher being too loud. No way. This Maytag dishwasher is very quiet. I was running it and my wife didn't even know it was on. There's an indicator light on the door, so without that you wouldn't hear much. The racks are great for holding all your dishes. We found tall glasses need to sit on the top shelf towards the middle of the rack and not the outside of the rack. So, all our dishes fit very well. There is an upper self for putting small items than might otherwise fall to the bottom of the dishwasher. We use this self for our plastic wear. Controls are pretty simple which is what we wanted. We're old school so we wash off our dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. We use quick wash and heat dry. Dishes come out dry and clear. You can put dirty dishes in the washer and use the rinse setting if you want to wait until later to wash. Since it's just my wife and I we don't need to do that. I think when the kids and family come over we'll try putting in dishes without rinsing just to see how it does. The dishwasher is very well insulted. The vent (for those who keep asking) is on the side of the door. Over all, we're very happy with the dishwasher.

This dishwasher is so quiet you do not even know it is running. It cleans very efficiently. I haven't decided if I like the silverware basket with the lid but it is removable if you'd rather group your items in the sections versus individual slots per utensil. One annoyance is family members opening the dishwasher at the top where the control panel is versus the recessed handle. We lowered the second rack for tall glasses and use the small top rack for knives and flat lids. I am considering removing the small top rack though.

This dishwasher is incredible! My first time buying a Maytag and I am impressed, I shopped many brands and this is the best product and worth the money. Very powerful but gentle while it cleans. Well designed, plenty of room, third rack, adjustable rack, plenty of options, user friendly, and unbelievably quiet. We have to double check if it's running because we can't hear it. This is the best dishwasher that is made. Now, I hope that great Maytag reputation will keep it running for many years. Gotta respect that Maytag will stand behind their products with that 10 year warranty. I would buy this again and highly recommend this to anyone.

I bought this because my last Maytag was a work horse and the reviews were excellent for this one. Well the reviews were right on. My kitchen was complete yesterday when the plumber came and hooked everything up. Right away I ran a cycle with some dishes that were waiting to be washed. This unit is super quiet and my dishes came out sparkling clean. I had 2 dirty knives on the very top rack and they were perfectly clean and there was a bowl in there with dried oatmeal and that came out perfect too. I am one happy camper with this dishwasher.

This dishwasher is fantastic! Stainless steel tub. Lots of room for silverware and any type of dishes. The smaller third row is OK, but I usually find things to put there. I love that the middle rack is adjustable. Cleans very well and the cycle is short and drys everything in 2 hours.
