I'm very satisfied with the unit. its big and roomy but a little dark

So, I mistakenly bought this thing thinking it was a refrigerator. It turns out that it is just an insulated cabinet. It is advertised as a refrigerator. But it does not cool the food or items that are stored in it. I Have been in contact with Maytag. Their response was, “we are sorry that our refrigerator is Not Up to YOUR STANDARDS”. I understand I have high standards. Yes I think that if I put a Cold gallon of milk in a refrigerator. It will Still be cold the next day. Maytag says that that is to high of a standard for their refrigerators. So it is a customer problem and not a manufacturers defect. Maytag has sent two of their repair men to try and fix the unit. Both failed to fix it. The last tech said that this is a common problem for Maytag refrigerators. And that he would never recommend any Maytag appliances. Maytag refuses to replace the unit. They want to keep sending repair men to replace parts of the you. I have had the unit for three months now. It only work for the first week. Then it took the repair man two weeks to get working. It worked for another week and then stopped again. The second technician came out and says it’s a lemon and we need to try and get it replaced. The second tech could not fix it cause their are no parts available. It maybe September before the parts are available. If you buy this thing you are going to need to also buy a Yeti cooler to store you food in while you wait on parts to fix it.

I love this fridge, no wasted space no ice or water so i have more space and one less thing to repair in future, i can make ice the old fashion way. Just make sure to read instructions for setting temperature very important!!! Cool Fridge ice cold!!

I love my side by side. So very glad that we purchased this refrigerator. It’s much bigger than I thought.

I purchased this model from another vendor just letting people know to be warned my unit had three cheap components fail under 29 months first was the thermistor, then it was the motor fan now finally the jazz board Main Circuit board failed. I am here looking to buy a new GE garage refrigerator but I felt it would be helpful to let people know that this brand no longer uses quality products and it is a shame because a perfectly good refrigerator is going to the curb because the manufacture has decided to save pennies using junk components Maytag also would not honor warranty for any of the previous fixes and now this model is out of warranty according to them. I have been a Maytag user for 40 years they have now lost my business forever. They no longer stand behind their products like they did in the past and they no longer provide quality parts instead it is cheap junk electrical and motorized components.

** BE AWARE ** This fridge is for INDOOR use only !!! We were not aware of this, and installed it in the garage. When outdoor temp were freezing, the garage was cold (colder than 55F), and therefore the whole freezer stopped working!! Icecream, bread, icepack would all all melt down, so we can throw everything away. They should make it clear that this freezer / fridge will not work if installed in a room below 55 F. What a disappointment !!!!! Another manufacturer "trick" to cut cost. Never again.

Super Disappointed! Had a Maytag for 15 years. Bought this new one and it stopped holding a food safe temperature after 3 weeks!

3 fridges were deliver with major damage. I had to upgrade to another fridge.
