Nice and quiet

Since my laundry is part of my kitchen, I love that it is so quiet. I am not a fan of impeller washers so I only use the deep water wash cycle which uses an agitator. This machine is capable of both types of wash. The clothes come nice and clean and I am able to wash a big load with no problems at all. I wish I had more control over the settings (how many minutes to wash a load) but the machine decides for me and so far it seems to work out ok. I hope I get as many years out of this set as I did the set it replaced (25 years), I stuck to the same company so I figure my chances are good.

I've had this washer a couple months now and I am pleased with my purchase. I saw other reviews saying that it was loud and noise but that has not been my experience. Now, it does make some unusual sounds (not loud) which makes me wish that the cover was glass like in other models so I could see what all it was doing. So, very happy with my purchase nonetheless.

Good but budget, expect short life

Good machine, good capacity, but I hate the lid lock. This is our second unit of the same model, replaces a 3.5 year old unit because the rotor sprocket seized on the agitator, no warning just froze solid with rust. Warranty over 3.5 years would have almost bought a brand new unit, so we canceled that coverage after the first year. Parts alone to repair cost more than a new unit. Labor to have it officially declared broken to get any warranty coverage also moot.
Basically cheap but good unit, don’t expect a lifetime of use.
Wash cycles are long and not many options, but it saves money to opt out of lux options. I like money better than saving 20 minutes a load.

Everything looks like it is working well. It is a little loud when going through some cycles though. Other than that, no issues yet. Better washer than having one without and agitator. Maytag offers a 10 year motor warranty that gives a piece of mind.

It’s nice but LOUD! Fit well in our tight space. Cleans clothes well. My Mom constantly complains about the noise though. Makes a loud buzz after every cycle. No way to shut it off.

6 months in and still going strong. I like it, good washer, no problems, quiet...Im going to get the matching dryer. I like it.
Had an earlier version of this Maytag and it died on me in under 5 years so hopefully this will last longer

Ok. So I have had brand new washers to replace an older washers (just because I wanted a newer fancier washer). I put the newer washer in and put my older washer (nothing wrong with it besides it wasn't a fancy new one) in storage. Well the newer washer went out and then we (husband and I) ran to storage to grab the older model and hooked it up. Little did I pay attention (because I was so excited about having that new washer) that the older model was so much better! Like what the heck! They make them seem so fancy and how they wash with minimal water, etc etc. I honestly like the older models way better! This washer is fine, does the job and works well, but holy crap takes FOREVER to wash a load! Like F.O.R.E.V.E.R.! I like the quick 4 minute wash cycle my older model offered, or if I just wanted to throw something in and only put it through the rinse cycle...nice and quick. This washer doesn't offer that. I've tried the whites cycle, the sheets cycle, heavy, etc....they all still take forever. I Like this washer, but they don't make them like they used to. They may be fancier, but I think the older models better by far.

Great washing machine. The whole process takes longer than expected but it does a very nice job. Makes weird noises during each cycle but doesn't bother me since it is a room away. So far, very satisfied with purchase.

Previously owned a Maytag washer for twenty-three years. This is not the same great quality. This machine needs to have more personal control of the water level. Very noisy. It does seem to clean the clothes, and does a great job of spinning the water out.

I read reviews about the washer leaving detergent on the clothes and it did happen to me. I think it’s because I over loaded it, I just put it on rinse and spin that seemed to do the trick. Overall it’s easy to use, the price was right and it’s made in the USA.

Would prefer to make my own decision on water levels. Do not like the lock down lid or the size of the tub. To loud. Does a great job on cleaning wash. Good spin out.

Takes too long to wash one load of clothes!

Most of the washing loads take over an hour, whereas my basic washing machine that I had prior to this, only took 30-45 minutes to wash a load.
The "auto-sensor" water level seems to take a lot of time to determine what amount of water to put in the washing machine.
The rinse seems to take long time to "fill" in order to rinse and spin.
Even though the washing machine uses less water, it seems it is using more electrical energy by the time it take 1 hour and 10 minutes to run a load.
I am not totally happy with this machine. I guess I did not understand that all settings would take so long to run....wastes my time waiting one hour for one load to wash.
***In the instruction booklet the company needs to OUTLINE how long each cycle takes (in Minutes!)

went to this machine from one that did not have the center agitator- it just does a better job cleaning and rinsing clothes than my older high efficiency machine. Still has the sensor setting and still pretty loud

Washer can handle large loads and the clothes get really clean. I tend to use the deep water level feature because I’m used to water covering the clothes. Otherwise I don’t feel the clothes get as clean during the washing cycle.

I love this washer! It replaced an agitatorless washer that was bought for its large capacity, but it never got things as clean as I’d like. This new one with an agitator does so much better with the cleaning. I also like the simplicity of it. Most of us don’t need twenty different cycles. This washer had plenty, but not nearly as many as my old one. Hopefully it will last longer. Only got two years out of the old one.

I cannot say enough good things about this washer. I had read the negative reviews on it and quite frankly, I must disagree. This machine does it all. Water sensor is perfect and deep-water wash fills the tub completely with water. Yes, I looked a few times and at first it seemed not too, but then I looked before it went into the wash cycle and it was completely full. Washes 4 king size sheets and 4 large bath towels with ease. Has heavy soiled which works perfectly for dog bedding getting it clean, clean, CLEAN. Delicate cycle is just that and I may never hand wash again. It is very quiet & gives ample time to add forgotten items before it goes into locked mode. If you follow what the manual says, it is one remarkable washing machine.
The only con I can find is the words right above the lights that say where it’s cycle is. I must cover the lights to read where it is. I am sure I will get used to it and this will be a problem of the past. Love this machine. Don’t forget to read your manual. Doing so will alleviate a lot of stress and will give you the knowledge needed to operate this machine.

Very happy with this washer. Has all the cycles and more. Large enough to put a queen size comforter in and cleans well. The spin cycle rings out all the water so just damp when you put in the dryer. Would definitely recommend this washer for the price.

I am really enjoying the new Maytag. It makes some strange noises while working, but overall very quiet. Much better than previous Kenmore that sounded like a rocket blasting into space during the spin cycle. Seems to clean just fine. Takes longer for heavy cleaning items. Best thing of all was the delivery. The Best Buy guys were really pleasant and efficient. We are senior citizens living on a cattle ranch way out there. We sure appreciate the help.

I was intentionally looking for a washer without a glass front or glass top. My family size has decreased, so I wasn't worried about the capacity, and I didn't care if it had an agitator or not. I wanted something that I could select load size, water levels, and just the basics. This has been wonderful for my needs. It does run a little loud, but it is in my basement so I do not hear it or care. If you had it in your kitchen area, it may be bothersome. For me it is perfect.
