This is the best washing machine I have owned. Quiet, and easy to use. You can program it to let you know when it is done. It has short programs for lightly soiled clothing and long intense washing cycles for very soiled items. The steam cycle is a great feature to have for those heavy soiled, stained clothes. I would highly recommend this machine.

It is quiet (although it is in the basement) uses less water AND my dryer takes about 1/2 the time to dry a load because the washer gets so much water out!! Super pleased with my purchase!!!

We bought this to replace our 14 year old Maytag top loader and I could not be happier. i LOVE not having an agitator in the middle of the washer. It is just so much less wear and tear on the clothes to use a front loader. This washer is seriously huge. I wash our King size down comforter on it with no problem at all. I can also fit all 4 King size down pillows on delicate and they turn out beautifully. TOWELS - gosh they come out SO nice and fluffy. WAY nicer than in the top loader. The washer is working well, has a ton of options for types of laundry, and makes our clothes really nice and soft/fluffy.

First of all, the delivery was excellent. We have our washer and dryer stacked in a closet...which meant the 2 units needed to be unhooked and pulled out, the old washer on bottom replaced with the new, both hooked up, and both pushed back into the closet. The guys did not expect this, but were extremely good-natured about it. All went well. The unit itself, so far, has been great. It holds a lot of clothes per wash, does what it should. I don't overload, I do use the recommended HE detergent. Clothes get clean, and are well wrung out. The unit is quiet. The price seemed fair. So GREAT all around.

Got it on sale at a very good price and was delivered and set up within 3 days. I like the front loader, which seems to clean much better than top load in these he appliances. Washed stained shirts yesterday and it got out all the stains with the steam cycle. Only had it about 3 weeks, but very satisfied.

If you are buying this with the dryer to stack...

... then you need to buy a stacking kit. Best Buy doesn't sell a Maytag stacking kit so after a failed installation I called customer service and they said the closest stacking kit was the Whirlpool one. When the guys came to install it again they said it was the wrong stacking kit but since they had already been out two times and didn't install the washer and dryer they were forced to make it work. They eventually got it to work with the Whirlpool stacking kit but beware that if you want to stack these units you will have a buy a stacking kit (something not mentioned on the website) and even if you buy a stacking kit you may have to yell at the installers to get them to make it work.

Our old washer finally had it after 15yrs of good service. We decided to go Maytag because of it being American made and the reviews backed up its performance. Little did we know how much an extra cubic foot will go when doing laundry for a family of 5! My old washer was 3.2 cu.ft and this Maytag is 4.3 cu.ft; but feels twice as large and can easily handle a queen sized comforter! The cold wash is excellent in the fact that when the kids bring down their laundry baskets it all goes in at once; no more color sorting (unless it’s a first time wash item) and it all fits well, coming out as clean as sorting into 3 smaller loads! Another wonderful benefit is the “max extract” spin speed; which leaves the clothes nearly dry and takes about 20-30min to dry even with the biggest loads! The spin is so smooth with zero vibration and this baby is cooking around; at least twice the speed of my previous washer with no vibration at all! Don’t hesitate to buy this if you need a front load washer and I would be willing to bet it’s bigger brother is just as fantastic!

What a great washer! Quiet, energy efficient, no problems with the auto-water level feature - it has worked perfectly. It extracts the water in the spin so well that our time for drying clothes has been cut in half (= more energy savings!). We have had the washer for a couple of months. I will update the review as time passes. One thing - have a level ready and the installers will level it properly. They wanted to just assume the washer's auto leveling feature would take care of things, but I can't help thinking that if the washer is level it will perform better.

Made this purchase expecting energy efficiency, a decent noise level and quality controls. Also, it was reviewed well on consumer reports. As long as it doesn't break down for a few years I'm happy with the purchase.

As several other reviewers mentioned, my machine also had some issues with the control panel; it had to be replaced twice already in last 25 months. Then, we just had the problem again: displaying random message with beeping sound, making the machine unusable. It was unlikely that the control board itself was the culprit, since it was also replaced twice...I guessed that maybe the moisture was getting into the sensitive electronic circuits somehow...Solution: I inserted shims under each front legs, so that the the machine would lean backward a little, hoping that the water would escape. It worked. To be fair, our floor is higher towards the wall, so it was leaning forward slightly until it was propped up. I mentioned that to the GeekSquad agent when I canceled the repair appointment, but it seemed that my input wasn't going anywhere, so I decided to leave my experience here. I like the machine overall, except 1) it needs constant wiping to avoid the mold, even with the door open, 2) it's hard to reach the drain filter. Finally...I'm glad I paid extra for the protection plan!

I’ve had this for about 5 months now. Looks and feels sturdy. Has been performing well and in fact it seems to be washing better than my older Samsung one that died. It was very well priced for my needs. Quick delivery and installation by BestBuy.
